This August 2021 marks 100 years since Alan Whicker's birth in 1921. With a career spanning six decades, Alan Whicker was Britain’s most famous television reporter. At a time when interviews were notoriously obsequious Whicker and his team wrote the grammar of the television we watch today. Not only was Alan a pioneer, but an inspiration for generations to come.
The Whickers, established in 2015 with Alan's generous legacy, were inspired to encourage and support the making of quality documentaries by emerging film and audio talent internationally.
