The Weirdest Place I've Ever Removed Bees From

Үй жануарлары мен аңдар

This was definitely the weirdest places I've ever removed bees from! Watch as I remove a colony of honeybees that had been living in the tank of a toilet!

My gardens and orchard are hosts to bumblebees and mason bees up here in Wisconsin, but there's just something about watching you work with honeybees that is as entrancing as it is educational. How absolutely stunning to witness how you work with bees. I had a life-long fear of stinging insects until a few years ago when I forced myself to sit amongst the flowers of a hedge that was frequented by loads of bees. I thought that was pretty special to finally understand that as long as I didn't bother them, they wouldn't bother me and, frankly, they didn't care how close I looked in on them gathering their nectar. Watching you scoop up handfuls of bees, however ... THAT's next level.

Most of those combs did not have much honey but lots of eggs and larvae, one does does not place those in the extractor (a centrifuge) as it will destroy them. The honey combs are located at the upper lever of a hive, în smaller frames, where been instinctual lu deposit only honey. The queen lays eggs deep into the hive.

I’m not sure I fully understand how a bee colony wouldn’t feel threatened with their home being dismantled.

Your soul is so special. I never liked bees till I was educated by your channel. Now I put sugar water out for them away from where we sit outside, and they never bother us. They do occasionally get the liquid from the hummingbird feeder, but when the birds arrive they leave.

I have to ask. How does toilet bee honey taste? 🤔 Also could you have just lifted the toilet over the hive box and flushed it 😁. Enjoyed the video but could not resist the thoughts.

Man i wish there someone near me i could call, there is a hive that took root in between the bricks and walls of my apartment building. I told the complex the day they moved in, but here we are two months or so late and theyre still there. It's such a small entrance and i cant imagine how much space they have or not to build

Honey bees are typically gentle and don’t sting. I mean, always handle with care, she’s an expert who knows when it’s safe and when it’s not. But honey bees aren’t usually aggressive.
