@@samways6724I’m back to report: Gotta be real, I hated the 2011 trilogy. I’m sorry, i wanted to like it, and I respect it’s undeniable influence, but it does nothing for me. Kissland is also mind. Everything else is awesome. Beauty has some incredible songs, Starboy is my favorite full project, And the most recent 2 are really good, excited for the 3rd one hopefully in 2024. Plus, I’ve also checked our metro’s catalog as well, and every feature he has on those albums are amazing, especially All To Myself, We Still Don’t trust You, and Creepin. Plus his features on Travis albums, like Pray 4 Love, Skeletons, Wake Up, and Circus Maximus are awesome. He’s gotta be one of the best feature artist ever for real. Weeknd is an incredible Artist who revolutionized r&b, and blend into genres like HipHop so well due to his more risky and dirty lyrics. Absolute legend that deserves to be the biggest Artists in the world. I’m so glad to be a fan now. Also, coming back here seeing this bracket now that I know how everything sounds, my takes I hate with and disagree with are so different then when I first watched this. Same thing happened when I revisited the Travis bracket. Certain takes I disagreed with them I now agree with, and takes I agreed with then sounds crazy now.

This is why The Weeknd is my favorite artist. You can blindly pick any random song in his discography and vibe to it. The only thing that comes close to a miss is when he features and its usually the other artist missing.

I have the lamest, coldest take as a synthwave and 80s pop fan: "Blinding Lights" is one of my favorite songs ever, and his whole After Hours album is what finally made me a fan and check out his discography beyond the singles (I know his music is obviously away more diverse and I like most of it regardless of genre). Every time I listen to "Blinding Lights" on good headphones, though, I'm blown away by the production every single time. It's one of those songs I remember exactly where I was when I first heard it. Absolutely incredible.
