1:27 wave of the day....unridden. Heavy wave, props people..
If you know someone who has never surfed, this video captures the feeling of what it's like to ride a wave. The editing is different, creative, interesting and has a unique rhythm that works because it's strange and follows it's own vibe. I really like this!

Brad Nack Are you serious? This captures the escense or feeling of Surfing? I didn't see one guy make a drop let alone ride. That's not surfing . The wedge isn't a surf spot. The break is off the jetty and makes the peak Jack up and unmakeable. More people have been brought out of the water with broken necks than I can count. I've lived and surfed the area for 40 plus years I know!

This was shot and edited so beautifully bro! Only a real photographer is willing to take a pounding for some of these in my opinion award winning shots

Just saw this comment. Thank you very much i really appreciate it.
NICE work man! the wedge is by far my favorite place to film. I could watch this for days.
I was there, those were some really gnarly waves. Pretty fast and steep for epic slammage. Still had fun though...
Im from nc . i have jumped out of air planes . drag raced a nitro harley at speeds around 200 mph in a 1/4 mile . But never ever surfed . watching you guys do ur thing is pure poetry in motion.

Right of passage wave when I was twelve. (in the 60s) My buddy broke his collarbone that day. Aloha, Evan

Evan Shulman Did'nt some guy break his neck at the Wedge?
Such a great angle that shows how it's like being out there Thank you, very enjoyable and life-like. This really shows the size of the waves from ground zero.
Best Wedge footage I've seen so far. Excellent work.

Me too, dude. Didn't have a board though. I went there one day when it was glass. GLASS. 13 of us or so were out there. 1 guy had a fish. 2 boogie boards, the rest of us treading water, just sitting there, bored, basically. We were just behind where "the wedge" usually breaks. Then, we saw the horizon start to rise and we all took off. My GF said "It was beautiful. All of you just took off as one. All we saw was arms, like synchronized swimming". We had a long way to go, and my brain was just SCREAMING at me: GO FASTER! That swell was the biggest thing I'd ever seen. I grew up at the beach. It was the biggest wave I'd ever seen. It just kept getting bigger. I was preparing to get slammed. Then, I remember feeling the sensation of swimming UPHILL. I'd never felt myself swimming VERTICALLY before. It got dark, and I saw a small circle of light green and went for it. Popped out on the top! I heard all the "YIP!"s and hoots from all the boys down the line, happy we weren't killed. Then we heard it: CRUUUMMP! It was awesome. That was the begging of a pretty gnarly set. I was happy to ride the swells, but, I was getting tired, so I made my way in, which, as you know, is pretty tricky when it's poppin. I was just touching bottom, when I heard "Help me!" and I saw a kid about 13, being DRAGGED out right past me on my left. I said "GIMME YER HAND" .He said "I CAN'T" and then I saw the monster behind him. The classic "Wedge" beach break wave was up and curling and about to hit the both of us. I was like "GET DOWN! NOW" and BOOM! I was in a washing machine. I don't know how, but he was now on my RIGHT! A Dad came running down the ramp and helped me drag him out. He was fine after a while. It was a foamy, dangerous chaotic mess. It was.....paradise.
1 WEEKEND... awesome video. Taking those waves to the head like a champ

Love this place. cant wait for more big swells
This is the 2nd video I've seen of yours of this swell. Both of these videos seem quite artistic. Really cool choices of music, and even though completely different genres on each, both super cool with the footage. The super slow motion stuff in this one is particularly good. A couple of those unridden sets had me yelling "Whoa!" -- a couple of monsters, huh? Well, just wanted to tip my hat to your production. Aloha!

This video is GREATTT! Thanks for sharing!!!
Best Day at The Wedge & Best Video of this spot EVER!...and yeah, no doubt, sitting in the punch-zone to get these shots takes skill, nerves and strong connective tissues!

best pov surf footage on the web. amazing!! I still have nightmares of body boarding that place lol. that used to be my spot but it's to heavy!! you gotta be in shape to take a pounding.
Great job man. Cool edit. Ballsy impact zone angle. Solid
Thank you for getting some nice surfing clips... most are just body boarders
First time viewer. Excellent videography, editing and music.
I started making surf films when I was in junior high in the '70s... Back then we used Super 8 film cameras and had to wait a week before our film was developed. I have never stopped making surf films now going on five decades. This is some of the most beautifully shot and edited footage I have ever seen! The music is epic also ...kudos to you my man! I am a wedge JUNKIE... I am subscribed now to your Channel. I love Raw Beefs too.
Love the view from the water
Amazing footage....so heavy

Looks like a modest day at the Wedge. I've seen it MUCH bigger. Those are like 7-8' swells, the peak being 12-16', but magnified by the Wedge's unique physical characteristics.

Your video and Surfer magazine's video are shot at the same time but you in the water and they are on shore. Pretty cool to see the difference. Great job, Wedge is fun but it will bust a leash or a head once in a while.

Brent Weldon makes sense, water photography crew is small and everyone knows everyone. I used to surf contest and all that stuff and you always knew who was shooting when the surf was up when you pulled up to the known spots.. And you put a little more snap in your turns also lol!
If you can stand-up surf the Wedge on a big day, Pipeline would be like a walk in the park. Great camera angles btw... GNARLY!!!

Keep working towards it. Its a lot of fun. If you don't feel comfortable don't go out
It stated that surfing was prohibited between, I recall 10AM to 5PM. I assume, as I make another trip down to Orange County and missing this section of the beach, um, that would definitely include actually BEING in the water at this point ? It looks really awesome , though!
Yo you filmed this place like no other would have!!

@@BrentWeldon Grew up in H.B, next town up on PCH, loved the WEDGE back in the day (70's-80's) Better know what your doing, the WEDGE throws all the rules right out of the book and into your face, well if you still have one from bouncing off the sand on the bottom, "might" be water on a good day, to land on first. DON'T go over the falls!
Sick Edit man, keep it up!
What camera do you use and where do you get your songs from
