I have to say, as a non Muslim, you are incredibly eloquent speaker and are very moving. I have watched many of your videos, and I think Islam needs more ambassadors like you, someone who isn't a minority radical spewing hate. You do your religion justice.

No worse than the other two Abrahamic faiths, and as for Hinduism, let's not even go there. I'm always telling people who will listen that the Prophet's first wife was 15 years his senior and an independent business woman, and that Islam allows a woman to work, have her own money, her own property and to have her right to divorce written into her marriage contract .....

My mother is English. She used to go to a pub where the owners were husband and wife. I remember as a kid the wife held me and would play with me. Many people knew he was beating her but did nothing. One day her husband was drunk, he was angry and he beat her to a pulp until eventually he pushed her down the stairs killing her. No one batted an eye. And yet people say alcohol isn't a problem.

***** Yeah she wore hijab. She wore it as a symbol of modesty. And she did wear a black cloak called Ibaya not Niqab or Burka niqab and burka are the covering of the face. This is not what the Qur'an recommends. Hijab is to protect women from being looked as objects. It has nothing to do with men wanting to rape them. It's about modesty.

Qur'an (4:34) - "Men are the maintainers of women because Allah has made some of them to excel others and because they spend out of their property; the good women are therefore obedient, guarding the unseen as Allah has guarded; and (as to) those on whose part you fear desertion, admonish them, and leave them alone in the sleeping-places and beat them; then if they obey you, do not seek a way against them; surely Allah is High, Great." Qur'an (38:44) - "And take in your hand a green branch and beat her with it, and do not break your oath..." Allah telling Job to beat his wife. From the Hadith: Bukhari (72:715) - A woman came to Muhammad and begged her to stop her husband from beating her. Her skin was bruised so badly that she it is described as being "greener" than the green veil she was wearing. Muhammad did not admonish her husband, but instead ordered her to return to him and submit to his sexual desires. Bukhari (72:715) - "Aisha said, 'I have not seen any woman suffering as much as the believing women'" This is Muhammad's own wife complaining of the abuse that the women of her religions suffer relative to other women. Muslim (4:2127) - Muhammad struck his favorite wife, Aisha, in the chest one evening when she left the house without his permission. Aisha narrates, "He struck me on the chest which caused me pain." Muslim (9:3506) - Muhammad's father-in-laws (Abu Bakr and Umar) amused him by slapping his wives (Aisha and Hafsa) for annoying him. According to the Hadith, the prophet of Islam laughed upon hearing this. Abu Dawud (2141) - "Iyas bin ‘Abd Allah bin Abi Dhubab reported the Apostle of Allah (may peace be upon him) as saying: Do not beat Allah’s handmaidens, but when ‘Umar came to the Apostle of Allah (may peace be upon him) and said: Women have become emboldened towards their husbands, he (the Prophet) gave permission to beat them." At first, Muhammad forbade men from beating their wives, but he rescinded this once it was reported that women were becoming emboldened toward their husbands. Beatings are sometimes necessary to keep women in their place. Abu Dawud (2142) - "The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: A man will not be asked as to why he beat his wife." Abu Dawud (2126) - "A man from the Ansar called Basrah said: 'I married a virgin woman in her veil. When I entered upon her, I found her pregnant. (I mentioned this to the Prophet).' The Prophet (peace_be_upon_him) said: 'She will get the dower, for you made her vagina lawful for you. The child will be your slave. When she has begotten (a child), flog her'" A Muslim man thinks his is getting a virgin, then finds out she is pregnant. Muhammad tells him to treat the woman as a sex slave and then flog her after she has delivered the child. Ibn Ishaq/Hisham 969 - Requires that a married woman be "put in a separate room and beaten lightly" if she "act in a sexual manner toward others." According to the Hadith, this can be for an offense as petty as merely being alone with a man to whom she is not related. Kash-shaf (the revealer) of al-Zamkhshari (Vol. 1, p. 525) - [Muhammad said] "Hang up your scourge where your wife can see it"

A man who treats his wife with good manner, respect and controls his anger and deals with it calmly is a man who was raised by a queen.. Some men have all that above only for their mother, sisters and cousins not when it comes to their own wives. Almost every woman in this world has been abused by a man either mentally or physically, May Allah give us the strength to bear such difficult barriers in this dunya so that we are blessed with eternal paradise in here after. Ameen!!

You know when I was reading the Quran I always saw this sentence about the spiders home and I wandered what the meaning was behind this. I knew the web itself is weak ..but thanks to this video I now understand it better....I'm sure now whenever I read this sentence in the Quran I'll think of this !

I witnessed a chinese couple fight today n the husband was beating her up in front of people while she screamed in chinese. I couldn't understand what she was saying.. she could be swearing, or expressing her feelings or arguing.. I don't know..because I'm a malay muslim, but I felt so helpless. I couldn't sleep all night. Then I watched this video for th 2nd time.. it's like Allah giving me a little hidayah to visit ur page at 5am to keep my path straight. Thank you for this video...thank you so much. We should all learn to understand the Quran more often.

I think it's really important that he specified that women need to reach out too rather than just seek guidance from Allah. Divorce is so discouraged in Islam that sometimes women will feel pressured into staying with an abusive man just to avoid it. By encouraging women to reach out, he is encouraging that it is okay to divorce an abusive partner. Even if it is the most hated by Allah of all lawful things, it is still lawful for a reason, especially for this reason.

I think the cause of this problem is largely men not doing their part. So many times i have seen a wonderful woman doing her part but her husband taking advantage of that and not doing his part. When both people do their part, the only possible outcome is a beautiful relationship filled with love and happiness.

Did you forget that the best of you in character is? He who is best to his wife. The best of advice from the one who never harmed a servant, child or wife in his whole entire life. Muhammad (pbuh), He was the best of examples in how to treat a woman right. See, if his wife had cooked something, he had liked, he would eat it and if he didn't he would leave it, without expressing an ounce of dislike. He would even refuse an invitation to food, until his wife also received an invite. He would help around the house too, just to make her work load light. See, he was the pinnacle of being polite. And he taught us that the strongest of men is not he who knows how to fight, but rather he who restrains his anger right at the moment of strife. So have patience brother, I mean, you wouldn't allow violence for your own, mother, daughter or sister. You wouldn't bear to watch another man punch and kick her. So the next time you even think to cause your wife, trauma and hit her, you need to understand that she too is another man's mother, daughter or sister. So dear sister, No human being deserves to live a life of violence. So if he doesn't treat you with kindness, don't live in silence trying to fight this on your own.

Of course men have responsibilities as well as rights, but so does the wife. She deserves to be treated well but as the Queen of her home, she has a responsibility to look after the house and cook for her family

Women is responsible for fam bc she shouldnt take advantage of husband but the husband should be helping the fam too so he doesnt take advantage of wife

Mohammad Abdul Farooqi many people just want to hate on Islam, and perhaps even Muslims in general. They don't even appreciate when Muslims stands up to the problems in the Middle East, such as this video brings up. They complain about how few Muslims speaks of the problems in the Middle East, in order to just spew hate and cherry picked information when they do and bring muslims down as if they aren't allowed to say this is wrong. Not everyone does this against Muslims, I'm just talking about many people who do this. What is your take on this?
