DE, thank you for such a rapid reply and I’m so amazed with the quality of your product. It seems so tedious and difficult, but you got me motivated to get into this as a hobby to make extra cash. Thank you, sir

Sometimes I have problems getting into the shop due to procrastination. Once I get in there I’m motivated. I have a new board design I’m working on right now that’s taking way longer than I expected, but mostly due to my laziness.

Your cutting board turned out way more beautiful that the original one from Wayfair. Your simplistic approach in explaining your step-by-step process of construction on this cutting board reminds me of the K.I.S.S. (Keep It Simple Stupid) process of instruction. I'm just a beginner woodworker but I believe that I will attempt to build this cutting board using your great instructions. I will build one using Maple and Walnut and the other with Maple and Wenge. Even if they turn out, "no so good", it will be a great learning experience. Thank you for the inspiration to try.

Thanks for watching the video and commenting. I appreciate it! This board should be a good learning experience. Not too difficult, but has a little challenge to it. Take your time, keep your measurements and alignments in check, and it should turn out fine.

I make a lot of various cutting boards. This project is a great one for newbies. I would however make the board at least 2 inches thick to prevent warping in the future. Something I learned the hard way.

What is the material you laid under the board during glue up to prevent it sticking?

Thanks for watching the video and commenting. I use basic parchment paper (like you would use in baking) to prevent the glue from sticking to the wood. It's a pretty cheap solution.
