@@macaddress Due to the lack of infornation, I shall be forced to use my imagination to conjur up some conspiracy scenario that involves Linus and space aliens an some terrible space dungeon where you were forced to use Windows 7/24 over a dial-up line to access the Internet. Since you didn't appear all banged up and covered in casts n this video, I will assume it wasn't a violent motorcycle accident 🙂

I don't even like Apple products, I just like watching these videos

Glad to see you're back! The iPad calculator stuck out to me because I have mistakenly tried to use it every few years and kept forgetting it didn't exist. The updates to Game Porting Toolkit also stuck out to me (ray tracing and AVX2), as well as accessing iPhone from Mac (I can use my phone while it's charging without touching it). I play Palworld and Valheim and those are getting native releases, and I played Riven on the original iMac. ... we have some catching up to do since you've been away. Would like to see a video about emulators on Apple, for example.

What really stuck out to me is that they made it in a way that makes sense. On a tablet, a button calculator looks so weird (massive buttons, lots of empty space) awkward to use for extended calculations. But leveraging all the work they've done on the stylus and on writing recognition to make that scratchpad is a beautifully simple idea (hard to implement but conceptually simple) that is probably to most sensible way to use a tablet calculator. It's a great bit of design (although as with everything else we'll have to check the implementation).

I really like the iPad Calculation assistant function, I'm only studying A Level Maths and just had my exams but I am slightly concerned about the bounds of it because how truly complex can it compute. It is cool but we will have to see if it's actually helpful as a Student.

I will have to experiment for myself and see the effective utility for my use cases. Honestly I’d rather have more integrated machine learning features happening in the background like we had for years over the generative AI gimmicks. I’m sure that for some people it will provide value! Let’s see
