The way his voice is filled with equal parts terror and reverence when he says "It's looking back" kills me. The part of him that is connected to the Eye must be so absolutely delighted, but the human part of him? The part that loves Martin and was so happy to be able to live in peace with him? It's terrified.

I love the 14 eyes that appear when he says "they're all here". Quality stuff

I love the added detail of the tears flowing down John's face as he reads "repeat after me" and begins the ritual. Like he knows exactly what he is doing, but physically cannot stop himself from doing it. It's honestly terrifying and it's such an amazing detail

I’ve always imagined that Jon knows at the point where Jonah tells him to stop trying to look away because he’ll only hurt himself Jon’s eyes fill with tears and then realizes he can still See the words on the page, even with the world swimming in his tears. The text burned stagnant and clear in front of a world swimming, superimposed onto his vision.

How you really know there’s something eldritch happening: the curtains are fluttering in the wind, but there’s glass in the way.

The worst part of it is at that point in the story we had no reason to believe Elias/Jonah would or even could violate Jon in such a way. He liked Jon or at least Jon thought so, he hurt other people all the time but everything he'd done to/for Jon was "for his own good" and Jon believed that.

elias/jonah being "there"... speaking into jon's ear... showing elias/jonah with the husk of his original body--"you'll get used to it here"--at "the world that we have made"... cutting to just jon at "repeat after me"... elias/jonah being a dramatic bitch of fucking course... jon's expressions at the end!! omg!! what a great interpretation. will really truly add to my experience when i re-listen.

I like Elias to look as punchable as possible. I also like it when people draw him and make him pretty. You have achieved both. 👏👏👏👏👏 This is beautiful in so many ways!

Nice touch, the 14 eyes when he says, "They're all here now." ::chef's kiss::

This was the moment I hated Elias. I always was entranced with his schemes, but this specific moment felt so violating, it made my skin crawl. We out here happy Elias died. We also out here pretending that nothing bad happened after that.

OH MY GOSH THIS IS INCREDIBLE???? This is seriously the best rendition of this scene I have EVER seen! My jaw dropped and I was utterly in awe the whole time. I'm adding this to the "must watch" list of TMA animations because you have gone far beyond doing this scene justice. You have sucked me into a visual layer of the world that adds so much that I can picture the whole series animated. You didn't have to go that hard but you did and I applaud you for it.

ohhh holy shit this is gorgeous,, the composition and timing is amazing i've watched at least 3 times at this point,,, i haven't listened to this scene since i first got to 160 and Oh God! Oh no.

I do so love the premise of a being, so vastly powerful, which knows all things and yet is so immensely foolish. To know everything that can or could be known and to understand absolutely none of it so uniquely interesting to me.
