Great overview! The only alternate timeline alien I like less than the original is Demon. The original Demon has a much shorter description and was already fun to play.

Love pretty much all the Alternate versions here. My favs are Micron, since it's just so elegant and is a great combat and resource alien. Grumpus is such a huge upgrade over its original version (I actually get 6 colonies from it in one game!). Demon is just fun, with the threat of Possession always hanging over your head. I'm actually a little disappointed with Schizoid. You seem to have missed it in the video, but the alien sheet actually says you can win off of ANY revealed condition, which in my opinion, totally invalidates the point of the whole alien. I'll probably just house rule that part to have it only count the original chosen condition. I enjoyed the Alternate Timeline concept. If we ever see it again, here are some I'd like to see: Genius: Really hard to win with this guy. If I changed it, I'd let it draw from the deck on a defensive win and even more importantly, have its win trigger be on Resolution, which can more easily let it get a shared win with its alt-win. Remote: Neat concept, but having to win as a main player is actually a pretty big ask. I've barely seen it use its ability to great effect. Maybe have it capture as an ally, too? Sting: Only letting you substitute half your ships is an unnecessary limitation. Requiring you giving cards to the player you choose is an interesting twist, but I feel like it makes Sting more into a tepid, situational hand-management alien. Overall just feels like the designers were just scared of making it too strong and as we've seen with Evil Twin, it probably is not an overpowered effect. Horde: An easy fix for this one: Just let Horde send as many of their tokens into an encounter as possible. Pirate: Some players like this, but I find it to be a bit underwhelming. I came up with a version that steals variant items, but it's probably a bit too wordy.

I hadn't noticed the change to Schizoid, which I didn't approve, and think is terrible. Oh well.

Are the flares also reworked? I may have to get a copy of this expansion.

@@jackredathewarp If you ever get the opportunity to make more timeline aliens my vote would be the Gambler. I would love to see a tweak to that alien’s rule to remove the ugly “DO NOT USE WITH SORCERER” somehow. Plus, it would be cool to update the art and add maybe a poker visor and have him holding cards to make him look more like a Gambler. Similar to what happen to Daredevil which was really really well done.

How about a top 10 aliens you'd like to make into Alternate timeline aliens. What they do now, what you'd change and even some of the art changes you'd like to see on those aliens as well. Keep up the great work!
