I would've sworn you've seen them before. These girls are amazing. They've been a band writing original music since the youngest, Ale, on bass, was 8 years old. They killed it then too.

They posted a behind the scenes video on Patreon and the sound engineer for MTV was like “Holy Sh*t! I’m a fan of yours now!” They took a venue who were primarily there to see Kaliii and Renee Rapp and rocked their asses off. I don’t think anyone there expected to be Warned but hopefully the world was put on notice. These ladies Rock! 🔥🤘🔥⚠️

Great reaction! I stumbled on them purely by accident last year at Summerfest in Milwaukee and they totally blew me away, like no other of the 50-60 bands I've seen at Summerfest over the years has. Been going down the rabbit hole ever since. Saw them again in Chicago in August at a smaller venue and they blew me away again. I think this is their best tune, but you can't go wrong with almost anything they've done, especially the vids from their concert at Teatro Metropólitan CDMX last August.

These girls don’t know how to write a bad song! Anything you do from them is gold! They were invited to play Wacken open air 2024. They have opened for Def Leppard , The Killers, Guns &Roses, Halestorm, Three Days Grace, muse 9 times among others . They are on the Metallica Blacklist Album doing their version of Enter Sandman which is more like a new song!

*a little history:* many of us (shout out to TWA aka The Warning Army!) have been following DPA/TW (Dany, Pau [like "POW!"], and Ale [like "Ah leh"] aka "The Warning"), three sisters from Monterrey Mexico, since or before their first videos as a band started to hit the streams back in 2012... in 2014 a video of them doing a cover of Metallica's *Enter Sandman* from the "Black" album went viral... they did a few other covers but were also writing their own music, as well... they decided pretty early to not become known as a cover band... so they started releasing their own music... in 2021, DPA/TW answered a call from Metallica to take a song, any song, from the "Black" album, twist it around, upside down, and backward... keep the lyrics but make it something else... DPA/TW teamed up with Alessia Cara, a Canadian Pop and R&B artist, to reimagine *Enter Sandman* as a more haunting, eerie, and dark lullaby than the metal original... they did this in 10 days, during Covid, with Alessia working from remote in Canada... there are now three renditions of *Enter Sandman* done by DPA/TW... the original close to true cover that went viral, the OMV of the reimagined, and several of DPA/TW playing it in concert where it somehow comes out even darker and more foreboding bringing almost constant chills to some fans when they hear or experience it... DPA/TW started with music at a very young age... like 3 and 5 for Pau (drums) and Dany (guitar)... Ale (bass) wasn't even born yet... they started with piano and classical music... Ale also started on piano when she was old enough... as a family, they used to watch concerts on TV together... music has always been a part of their lives and they are influenced by many bands from years past... then came the game, Rock Band, which Dany and Pau played all the time with Ale watching and clapping along... Pau gravitated to the drums and Dany the guitar... Ale chose the bass even though she didn't know what it was at first... the bass was Ale's second choice for an instrument... originally she wanted to play the harp... they couldn't find anyone to teach her harp, though, so the bass it is, to everyone's delight! her original 4-string bass was a 1/2 size bass which was still quite big for her... later she went to a 3/4 size 4-string bass... today, Ale has several bass guitars but she mostly plays her Specter 5-string... since she was 15 years old, Ale is a Specter Featured Artist... her Specter bass has a 35" neck on it and the coloring on the body is named "Ale's Inferno"... not long after Ale started playing the bass, the girls realized they had all they needed to form a band and here we are, today... Pau is a powerful force behind her drums... in her younger days, she was likened to "Animal", the drummer on The Muppets... she put her entire body into every stroke... it was quite joyful watching her in action... she has refined her form in recent times but she still has a powerful swing and a much stronger sound... some like to say that "she beats her drums like they owe her money!" LOL since she has refined her form, she also doesn't break as many sticks as she used to... when she did break one, she seamlessly replaced it without losing a beat and many times no one ever even noticed... pure professionalism, there... in one of their interviews, Pau comments about having been playing the drums for 13 years... that was two years ago so she has 15 years under her belt, now... Pau also takes lead vocals on several songs while she is playing her drums... there are not very many singing drummers in the world, today... she does aerobic exercises and running while singing to keep up her stamina and breath control... she's been singing while playing the drums since her early years... you can find videos of Pau doing drum covers when she is like 8 or 9 years old... Dany is a goofball and total guitar nerd... she has numerous guitars in her arsenal... PRS, Rick Toon Spearfish, Manson, Gibson Explorer (gift from Lzzy Hale of Halestorm), and more recently, a mustard yellow Manson was given to her by Matt Bellamy of Muse, one of the band's bigger influences... DPA/TW have covered several of Muse's songs and more recently they have opened for Muse in Mexico and the UK numerous times... hearing Dany make her Mansons sing is quite the treat... especially when seeing them live... Dany is also the main lead singer for the group... she has quite a range (one vocal coach says Dany can hit D5) and can growl or put gravel in her tone when needed... she easily expresses emotions with her voice and her facial expressions drive it all home while she is singing... Ale and Dany both use Orange Amps to drive their sound... the three of them, together, create a huge wall of sound that flat out pummels you when you see them live... today the girls are 23 (Dany - Jan 30 2000), 21 (Pau - Feb 5 2002), and 18 (Ale - Dec 13 2004)... they have just released the full concert they did at the Teatro Metropolitan (Metropolitan Theater) in CDMX (Mexico City) back in Aug 2022... Mexico City (2240m, 7350ft) is higher in altitude than Denver, Colorado (1609m, 5280ft)! certainly higher than their home town of Monterrey, Mexico (540m, 1770ft)... this is mentioned because of the altitude and thin air... when doing strenuous activities, you need more air... in some of their early concerts, you can tell the altitude catches them out a bit... you can find their recent Aug 2022 concert on DPA/TW's YT Videos page as individual videos of the songs or as one video of the entire concert with opening and closing BTS (behind the scenes) added... they may also have a playlist of the individuals so they can be viewed in proper setlist order... the Met Theater in CDMX holds like 3500 and sold out both nights they played (Aug 26th and 29th)... some huge milestones took place at the 2023 MTV VMAs... 1) The Warning were invited to play two of their songs on the Extended Stage... 2) they were the only ones to play that were not nominated for anything... 3) they are the first Mexican band to perform at the MTV VMAs... those are all quite the achievements! for the VMAs performance, there were four takes shot... two 45 second ones for broadcast and two full length ones for each of their songs, *MORE* and *Evolve* which MTV has posted to their YT channel... DPA/TW have a working relationship with Pepsi in Mexico and have shot several commercials for them... this relationship plus being signed with Lava helped greatly with this milestone in their career, i'm sure... additionally, this summer (of 2023), they were the first Mexican band to play "Rock am Ring" and "Rock im Park" in Germany in 20 years... they have also been invited to play at the 2024 Wacken Open Air metal festival which is also held in Germany... currently they are completing their fourth album and finishing up their "Error" World Tour which has taken them all over the Americas, the UK, and Europe... i still can't believe it has been 10 years! it seems like only yesterday i was watching a very young Pau beating her drums into submission and then seeing videos of all three of them playing together as they started their journey... the rabbit hole is deep and quite enjoyable! come on in, there's plenty of room for more! 😹 TWA ⚡🤘😸🤘⚡ TWA

You are a really good reactor - subbed for more! Great analysis, and spot on I would say. You know your stuff and you hit the nail on the head when you mentioned how comfortable they look on stage. All 3 are natural performers. Dany the guitarist is fierce, and Pau the drummer is so dramatic and theatrical I can imagine her on Broadway if she wasn't in this band. Ale, the bassist, is the glue and I'm glad you specifically mentioned her lower harmony singing and the bass breakdown riff. Well done!

Great reaction. Be prepared to be surprised over and over again, because everything they do is brilliant. Their incredible songwriting, musicianship and enthusiasm is evident in every song.

They performed two of their songs. The other is titled MORE. They bands were allowe dhree takes each for the recording. The Warning nailed both of their songs in one take each. No surprise to any of us who follow them. Dany is sponsored by PRS guitars, though she does have a bit of a collection including a Gibson Explorer that Lzzy Hale gifted to her and a Manson guitar that Matt Belamy of Muse gifted to her. Ale, the youngest and the tallest of the trio, is sponsored by Spector Basses, and has been for a while. She has her own color called Ale's Inferno and a signature 5-String bass in their product line. Pau plays DW drums and uses a DW double kick pedal. She is sponsored by Sabian Symbals and uses Vic Firth sticks. She was recently named the Up and Coming Drummer of 2023 by Modern Drummer. The Warning has been together for over ten years now and have been focusing on original material for about 8 years. They have around 50 songs on two EPs and three albums. The most recent release is called ERROR (Evolve is from that album). They recently completed recording their fourth album (Their second under Lava/Republics Records label) which will hopefully be released early next year. MORE , their current single, will be included on the new album.

I believe it was Pau talking about the new collaborations (I forget what setting) where More was the first recorded and released and all the other new music they were working on for the next album. They wouldn't NOT put it on the new album especially since it's a huge hit, that wouldn't make sense. @@FrankyPi

Great reaction, man! Paulina, the drummer has said they usually don't get nervous on stage and that playing live is where they have true fun, which is indeed what they live for. They are born performers and live is the way to see them. Another great live venue to see is their concert at Teatro Metropolitan CDMX (Mexico City), all pro shot and recorded in 2022.

While other artists that had to record multiple takes, The Warning came in and played their 2 songs straight up in one take each.

Yoooo! Dude, you need to learn more about this band! I stumbled onto them in Feb & have been floored by how great they are. They have 3 studio albums and there are no filler songs. They are master songwriters & musicians - even their lyrics are beautifully crafted. Plus they are even BETTER live (as you’ve seen here). Please check out their most recent live show releases from Teatro Metropolitan - excellent sound & video & lighting. Then you can dive into their 2nd album which is a dark, heavy masterpiece of a concept album - Queen of the Murder Scene. There is a wealth of videos available on their KZread channel. Oh, and their fan base, affectionately called The Warning Army (TWA) are the best people you can imagine - passionate & welcoming. Please do more of The Warning!

So February of this year? I have been following them for I think 7 or 8 years now and I can tell you that the enthusiasm doesn't wane it just gets stronger. I'm not even an OG who found them from the original Enter Sandman cover back when Ale's bass was almost bigger then her. And above all else is that they have no rock star egos and they let you into their lives and show that they can be funny and self deprecating. A really special band and family!🤘🏽

Kind of like Jinjer a few years ago, I waited way late in the game to start listening to this band. Just saw them open for Guns N Roses last month, and while I didn't blow them off, I didn't fully give them enough attention. Since then, I haven't been able to stop listening to this band. Even going back 4 or 5 years when they are really young, they still have a lot of great songs in their back years. Good to see another young, hard rocking group coming into the mix. These ladies are killing it.

Welcome to the wonderful world ofThe Warning. So glad you enjoyed that first view. Yes, these three make you move around for sure. I would suggest the second one they did for the VMAs "MORE" Live is their secret sauce for sure. There is a lot of live footage out there from the past 7 or more years. You can really see how they have grown up and are so comfortable on stage. - Anything live from the Teatro concert is great. (Disciple, and Dust to Dust, would be good choices) - Their 2017 TedX talk when they were 13, 15, and 17. You might really enjoy that one too. - If you are interested in continuing on The Warning path, I would suggest a three video series (or some reactors do all three in one video) so you can see how far they have come. The Warning have a wonderful relationship with Metallica’s Enter Sandman. 1) They did a video cover in their basement when they were 14, 12, and 9 that their father uploaded to KZread for the grandparents to see. Start here. 2) Metallica invited Alessia Cara to participate in the Blacklist 30th Anniversary album. Alessia’a team contacted The Warning and the two groups wrote, recorded, and produced an entirely new version of Sandman in only ten days that ended up being the lead track on Metallica’s anniversary album. The official music video for that is a great second video. 3) The Warning then did their Sandman version at the same Teatro Metropolitan concert you have been watching. This live performance is epic. There is really no bad place to start with these three. Good luck finding your own path through their catalog. BTW, I watched your Ghost Love Score video. The Warning Played Rock im Park and Rock im Ring this past summer in addition to opening for Muse on a number of dates. They are on the docket for Wacken 2024. Perhaps this is your time to notch that German festival and see The Warning at the same time.

These girls rock and will have you hooked!!!!!! They have been performing for almost 10 years!! I was told to check them out 10 months ago, the first video I saw was Animosity, LIVE from the Teatro Metropolitan show, and I am hooked. Then got lucky enough to see them LIVE in Fla in May. They rock, I have to listen everyday. Great reaction!

For me, live is the gold standard and that is why The Warning and Band Maid are my favorites. ANYTHING from the warning at the teatro metropolitan show is the best along with "evolve" and "more" from the mva's. Don't miss hearing the drummer sing lead. Start with "dust to dust", "23" and "revenant" from the teatro show. Bassist can sing lead also but prefers not to.

Hey Jeremy! Welcome to the wonderful rabbit hole of The Warning! I have seen them live 4 times and they are like watching fish swim or birds fly on stage, it's what they are born to do! They are also the best songwriters of this generation! Watch any of their live songs from their Teatro Metropolitan CDMX show, especially, Disciple, Animosity, 23 (Pau the drummer sings lead while drumming), Survive, Revenant, or any other song. They have NO bad songs! And this show is incredibly well mixed and filmed! BTW, They are the ONLY Latin American band EVER sign directly to a US major label (Lava/Republic Records), so that tells you, they are something VERY special. They are so good, I am flying to Cancun in November just to see them live again!

The warning have blown up in fame ever since 2013 when they posted their cover of Metallica Enter Sandman they have a few albums out already and youngest member bassist Ale has just turned 18 so a bright future ahead check out the songs Survive at Ted Talks 2017, and more recently Animosity, The Discpiple,Breathe,Choke,Money, and their song More.

I'm brand new to them also. I stumbled on them about a week ago and I've been binge watching/listening to them since. I love everything on their Error album and their cover of Enter Sandman, the recent version rocks. I agree with you, there's something about them live and I enjoy their live performances more than their studio versions.

In 2022 they did over 100 gigs, mostly across North America with a couple in South America. They did two legs with Halestorm and then their Fall leg through Canada with Three Days Grace. This year they started off opening 4 shows for Muse in Mexico and later joined them in the UK for four more plus one in France. While in Europe they did several additional shows in Germany, Spain, Netherlands and Czech Republic. They have also done several shows in the US and just finished shows in South America before coming back to Mexico for several more shows. I know they have over 50 shows just this year. Besides Halestorm and Three Days Grace they have also opened for Def Leppard, the Foo Fighters and Guns&Roses to name a few. Apparently they have finished recording their 4th album but it hasn't finished the mixing process. Then again, they may be planning on rolling out some new material during their Mexico leg. Additionally they have done a commercial for Pepsi Black. I notice that you have also done one of my other favorite bands, Nightwish, so I went ahead and subscribed.

You forgot to mention that they have already been booked for the Wacken Open Air 2024 festival in Germany.

@@abugewww8013 considering the treatment the first time they opened for GnR... Anyway, this time around they bowed out of the Knoxville show but still did the Florida show after the VMA.

A reaction to TW and a Puscifer shirt ! I need no more … Subscribed!!! I saw them both last May at the Rockville fest… amazing! They brought their own sound engineer to the VMAs (Lalo Plaza), he’s been working with them for a few years, so that’s why their voices are so well mixed!

I totally agree that the mixing here is phenomenal! Because unfortunately it does happen that you can barely hear the bassist Alejandra and her low vocals. So I was really pleasently surprised to hear the two songs they did at that show. The other being "More", maybe a good choice for the next song to check out.

This is a rabbit hole worth going down my friend. I discovered them a little over a year ago when they opened for Halestorm and had never heard of them before. Was blown away. I haven’t stopped listening since and I’ve seen them live 6 times this year again already as headliners on their own tour. Just amazing.

Thank you for giving your insight as a sound engineer. I mix live sound too. The Villarreal Velez sisters are amazing songwriters and performers from Mexico who live in Monterrey, San Pedro Garza Garcia, Nuevo Leon. Each one of their original songs is great. Their second album, "QUEEN OF THE MURDER SCENE", is a concept album. It follows a girl's journey into unrequited love; from infatuation and obsession on into stalking and murder, then madness and the fight over her soul. It is a masterpiece. It was nominated for Best Rock Album at the 2019 Independent Music Awards. Their 1st full-length LP, "XXI CENTURY BLOOD", is also very good and is packed with many great songs. The video for the title track, "XXI Century Blood", was nominated for and won many awards. Their very 1st released recordings are from their 6 song EP, "ESCAPE THE MIND"; and it is amazing. Despite being courted by numerous offers from many major record labels, The Warning have stayed independent through the years; relying on crowd funding to finance their projects. They refused to give up creative control over their material ... down to even the clothes they wear on stage. After 7 months of negotiations, The Warning signed a 5 album recording contract with Lava/Republic Records/Universal Music Group in the fall of 2020. They decided to release 1/2 (6 songs) of their completed 3rd full-length album in an EP called "MAYDAY" October 8th, 2021. The entire album was released June 24th, 2022: called "ERROR". "Disciple" is my favorite track! They have just recently finished recording their 4th studio album. No word on a release date or name. The Warning do not come from a family of musicians, however, their parents are huge fans of classic rock. Both parents are professionals (recording engineer and dentist) and they enrolled their daughters into a private Catholic English Bilingual school Liceo de Monterrey, Mexico. They also started the girls with classical piano lessons at ages 6, 4 and 5 years old. Regular family functions included gathering around the TV with popcorn and watching LIVE concert dvds of legendary bands like Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Queen and AC/DC. When their parents got them the video game Rock Band at ages 8, 6 and 3, they went nuts playing it obsessively. Shortly thereafter they got real instruments with lessons from professional teachers: and the rest is history. Amazing they are 23, 21 and 18 years old and have already written, arranged, and released #46 original songs. I was fortunate enough to get to meet them after their show January 16th, 2020 at The Whisky a Go-Go in Hollywood, California. I had the opportunity to meet with them 3 more times during the 10 shows I attended on their 2022 North American MAYDAY Tour and 2023 ERROR WORLD TOUR. Aside from their music, they are just normal, sweet, intelligent, and fun-loving young ladies who are truely grateful and endearing to their fans. 🗣 Thank you Jeremy! 🤘😃

Of course you did not expect that - noone did so far by first watching them. There you have 23, 21, 18 year old Pop-Barbies ... and you learned from the last years that you'll get a nice play-back show with some poses you have seen a thousand times (more or less). Not with "The Warning": You'll get professional musicians who can and DO actually play their instruments. Of course the mix is perfect. It would not surprise me, that they'll do it on their own (at least together with the technican). They DO know how they should sound. With that professionalism comes the confidence they gained in over a year touring through the US, Southamerica and finally this and that country in Europe. Muse, Guns'N'Roses, Foo Fighters - they all WANTED them to have them as their frontrunner. They're already booked for Wacken 2024 (a rock-band at a Metal-festival). For me this is the future of rock - not Taylor Swift (no offense to her, but The Warning is another thing)

The Warning is one of the best live rock acts going right now; they're tremendous performers, fantastic songwriters, and really wonderful young people. And their fans ... well you're meeting them right now, passionate and devoted (and representing a huge span of generations and musical tastes). There's a ton of great stuff on KZread, particularly the 2022 Teatro Metropolitan concert, which really captures their live performance well. Enjoy!

I have seen them live twice, as many others can attest they are a LIVE band. For them, getting the studio tracks to sound like their live sound is their biggest struggle.

Great reaction! The Warning is an incredible band! I turn it up everytime I listen to them also. I got to see them live in Atlanta in May and playing live is their superpower. You can check out almost any video from their concert at Teatro Metropoiitan CDMX from August 2022 and not be disappointed. Sub'd.

They are a great live band and the pro-recorded Teatro Metropolitan CDMX live performance videos from last August on their channel, are the next best thing to seeing them live. They defy pigeonholing into any specific sub-genre of rock because there is a lot of variation in their musical style. Recommend Disciple, Dust to Dust, Animosity, Kool Aid Kids and the reimagined cover of Enter Sandman they did for the Metallica Blacklist album. 👍😎
