When I returned to God after 30+ years, God reminded me how much I had loved Phil Driscoll praise & worhship. I had forgotten all of "that". But I listen to Phil's music as my primary way to praise the Lord now. Had to buy a used CD to play in my old vehicle. He is by far my teacher for praise & worship. So glad to be back home with Jesus. Phil, you are such a blessing.

Ever since the Holy Spirit quickened my soul to be in tune with heaven I have come to be a follower of Saint Phil the Trumpet 🎺 and the voice of ELOHIM through him has BLESSED me so much.. Phil Driscoll is next level. Legendary

When I was in Jr. High School (8th grade--1964/65), I started playing trumpet in band. Throughout high school, I continued to play, and was first chair. My idols, at the time, were Herb Alpert and his Tijuana Brass. I bought all their records and had all their sheet music. Several other young ladies and I put together our own musical group. We sang folk songs together, a capella, mostly, with some guitar and drums occasionally, and once in a while, one of our young male friends would sit in with a few piano backups. We lived in a very small town (Valdez, Alaska), and by the time we were out of high school, we had become quite skilled at singing and playing for small gatherings around town--as had (and still were) our own parents, who raised us up to sing and play music. Over the years, I still played trumpet occasionally, and now I am once again (at age 72), after 21 years of not playing. In 1983, I was playing both guitar and trumpet, and leading worship at our church in Porterville, California. My husband and I, and our then-five kids (we added one more in 1985) would go to EVERY Phil Driscoll concert in the area, and we still have his LP (but no record player) that contains "Covenant Children," which was my favorite for a long, long time. My other favorite of Phil's has always been "Blow the Trumpet in Zion." [ kzread.info/dash/bejne/X6d3rbKhmcy8frg.html ] When I bought my new trumpet last year and began to play again (after 21 years of not playing at all...sigh), that's the first song I started playing, after getting enough "expertise" back, in order to at least play the melody. There's no way I'll ever, ever be able to play that song like Phil, but it still inspires me. So...when I saw this video pop up in the suggestions while watching some other KZread stuff this evening (Resurrection Day 2022), I came right here to watch! Thank you all VERY much for this opportunity to see and hear once again, one of my very favorite persons and musicians in the world! :-D

My Uncle introduced Me to your music, and today he was buried, and I felt no better way to remember him than listening to you and what a song to hear in this moment. Thank you🙏🏼😭😭

I was blessed to have seen him in concert 3 or 4 times when I was younger. I saw him in Sacramento, CA, and there was no room for us so we had to sit in the overflow room and watch him on the monitor. Talk about being bummed out! Then he peeked his head into our room and said to follow him, and he sat us in the choir chairs right up on the stage!! Pastors who didn't believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit were called to the front; and when he played the trumped, they all fell down like dominoes! The presence of the Lord was so strong. I will never forget that night.

I needed to see this today and to remember that “I Need To begin to Praise Again !” I am in a horrific battle for my 17 year old grandson’s soul and his very life. I’ve been Praying but I forgot that I’m suppose to Praise. The devil wants to keep us stressed out and worried sick, just so someone can come along and tell us “oh you don’t have faith, your weak” says that person who watches and judges but never themself will pray. Yes we are in a double battle as the children of God, but I remember now thanks to Phil that I was suppose to be Praising my Lord also. I believe God wanted me to hear this Thank You 😊 🙏

hmmm. John tells us Jesus is the light that shines in the darkness, and the darkness cannot overcome it. Certainly Jesus says we become the light of the world. When both Jesus and Paul speak about a way of living that is "worship" - the living sacrifice of our lives. I don't think they were talking about music.

@@markhollenbeck9965 - I've been thinking about this since I came to faith (in large part as result of music) during the 70's. Rethinking includes my wheelchair bound friend who cannot dance, disabled folk who cannot sing... even shy people. King David sure was one unique individual :) ) I am convinced what we do (however we do that, with whatever style of music) on Sunday is not the best or ultimate expression of worshiping/honouring/glorifying/praising God. I'd say what Jesus expects of us in Matt 25: 31-46, is. Or, as Paul spells that out in Romans 12, when he "appeals to you therefore, brothers and sisters, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. 2 Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your minds, so that you may discern what is the will of God-what is good and acceptable and perfect."

It's encouraging to see him able to play and sing without noticing any diminishing due to age

We were created to give Him glory. In every circumstance, good or bad.

My provider and protecter Grateful and Thankful in JESUS MIGHTY NAME❤

Praise is lifting God UP to exalt Him because He is worthy. Worship is humbling ourselves LOW before Him in recognition of our unworthiness. Both are necessary to a right relationship with God, agreeing with Him as to our proper respective positions.

I actually first heard Phil probably over 30 yrs ago. His music has always been such a worshipful thing for me. He came to a small country church in Louisiana. He played and sang and ministered for over 2 hours. He taught on Power of Praise and Worship. It made a permanent impact on my life. Thank you Phil for teaching me how to Praise and the enter into Worship. I love ypu.

I was thinking of Paul&Silas (Acts 16v25-26) where they prayed and sang hymns in jail to God and the prison gates fell open..... what Phil shared was so insightful! Really powerful! Thank you! 💓

I’m a drummer for my church. I’ve been trying to tell everyone that there a difference between praise & worship even though they go together. This is an awesome & anointed teaching Phil shared. I’m in the process of putting together a praise & worship fest in Bham, AL. I’m not calling it a “night of worship “ for this exact reason! The body of Christ needs balance today.

I've been listening to Phil since the late 70's. His music inspires and blesses me every time I listen to him. Praise God for Phil's gift of music.

Grew up with listening to Phil. I have one of his records still.... My cousin played with him and Phil gave him one of his trumpets. Love worshiping the Lord with Phil. So thankful to see him again.

Glad I randomly caught this. Phil Driscoll was at the church I go to many years ago snd he laid hands on a young boy, oldest son of our pastor who has become our pastor now. He can play the trumpet just like Phil. Keeps it close when he preaches and worships !!

Wow. God must have led me here. Also Phil is amazing !! My first time hearing him I believe. Amazing voice too. I was holding back tears and I was ushered into my love for Jesus. And yes it’s true, our voice is an instrument, God showed me the same thing. I wish this was longer, to hear him speak more

Kindly read this from Romans 1:26-27 which says "Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. 27 In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error." Jesus saying in your reference scripture that marriage isn't for everyone in no way, no way, means what you're tryna depict up there. The Bible says do not add or subtract to His word. What you're doing is clearly wrong by itself. Remember, the Lord is not an author of confusion.

Phil is the best example of praise and worship, love to hear him exalt the Lord

I was fortunate enough to see Phil Driscoll in concert a few times back in the 80’s. I can say he is truly anointed - and the presence of God is real at his concert!

Great revelation about the shout. Got my moneys' worth from this one. 🙂 Phil blessed us at ALCC in La Marque Texas and in Houston at Lakewood.

God thank you sooooo much for your gift - Phil Driscoll'. His music helped me in my Christian race. I am so grateful God. The anointing on him is tremendous, transcending generations.

Amen! I am the Live Praise of God in Christ. Hallelujah!!!!

I was desperately looking for a daily morning prayer ministry (30 May 2022), not remotely expecting to see Phil Driscoll pop up on the screen. But God knew I needed to! This humble servant-son of God is so powerful when he ministers. His trumpet playing melts me to tears and equally blasts away junk and cobwebs that can cling and claim ground so easily. But this morning, while crying in response to Phil worshipping through I EXALT THEE, I clearly heard God say into my spirit "Exalt Me and not your problems. I AM God. I'm still God. Don't let your problems become an idol. Exalt Me above ALL other gods." There was absolutely no doubt that it was my Heavenly Father reminding me to keep looking to Him, to trust Him, to Exalt HIM. I thank you Father, for knowing me fully and loving me so tenderly. Help me to love and trust You more, daily. Amen 🙏

I first heard Phil in the early 1980’s when my dad, who is legally known as the late Albert Antoni, he has just preceded us, so in my eyes he should be referred to as ‘the early’ Dr. Albert, he brought a video cassette back from the US. Brother Phil inspired me to learn the trumpet as it is the instrument most referred to in the BIBLE, ESPESCIALLY in the Book of Revelation, which times we are well into. I look forward to preaching with my WHOLE Family, in Christ JESUS’ Name. AMEN.
