This guitar solo always makes me cry. It takes me back to those bittersweet memories of young love that you thought would never end, and summers of our youth when everything felt possible. I share this song with others and they don’t seem to feel what I feel. I wish I give them one ounce of what this gives me. I’m 34 now and so happy with how life has evolved. But music is a Time Machine and gives a brief glimpse into the people we once were. One of the most beautiful things my ears have ever heard. ❤️

I was sailin' down here on the wind When I met you and I fell away again Like a train in reverse down a dark road Carrying the whole load Just rattling the whole way home Have you fixed your eyes to the wind? Will you let it pull you in again on the way back in? I'm a bit run down here at the moment Let me think about it, babe Let me hold you There's a cold wind blowing down my old road Down the back streets where the pines grow As the river splits the undertows But I'd be lying to myself if I said I didn't mind Leave it hanging on the line Lost inside my head Is this the way I'll be denied, again? So I'll set my eyes to the wind But it won't be easy to leave it all again Just a bit rundown here on the sea There's just a stranger living in me As you set your eyes to the wind And you see me pull away again Haven't lost it on a friend I'm just bit run down here at the moment Yeah, I'm all alone here, living in darkness

Wish he would sing it with the same melody of the album. Having said that, I love the instrumental variations from the album, especially beginning around 4.01 with the solo guitar and the sax coming in hard at 4.30. Frustrating that he is doing an Adam (like my other idol Adam Duritz of coutingcrows) and by that I mean experimenting with the melody and intonation of the vocals, which distracts more than anything.

@@paulkubic786 and Tom Petty!
Nothing makes me more happy than watching the last 2 minutes of this video. Turns the most miserable day round.

And how many other resonances can you find? I also hear Warren Zevon and Ryan Adams and that's just a handful of his vocals. The music, the lyrics and the production are also richly resonant.
Well played
Got my tix to see them at the shrine in February bringing my 18 year old son 😀😇
Adams you are a walk-in the Arc
What a fuc@:*&king great song!
I fucking love this band.
I love
What a song. Fuck me
yeah - love it - fantastic beat from minimum amount of kit
Glenhookey, thats where thy totally blew it at a concert in Sweden, I think it was. The mix was totally wrong and the sax overpowered everyone else. So, yes, you're right. They're both really happy at 4:35. : )

+Jon Bedford I agree, the only song that surpasses the album version is dissapering on KCRW sessions, I would like all the songs live reached that level, "eyes to the wind is beautiful", but still with that epic sax solo this version owe us vocally

Its exactly what one of his major influences, dylan, always has done Some are distracted but others love it, provided it's still tuneful, which i think he is.

I love this version, and I don't find it distracting at all, quite the contrary. I love their guitar-playing, especially Adam's solo guitar- playing, keyboards, drums, and I love that saxophone! I love these guys; I love this band! I find it interesting to improv and not always play the same and duplicate the recorded version.
This drummer tho. I want to hang out with him.

Me too! 😂😂😂
Heavy Bob Seger vibes on this one
Dat sax
It’s like Bob Dylan + Bruce Sprinstenn and Echo and the Bunnymen had a gorgeous baby. I’m late to the game - why haven’t I heard these maniacs before now.?
What happened to In Reverse
IS that the Kurt Cobain issue Jag? My friend used to have that guitar -- played awesome.
The drummer
Hopefully with the following link to a new one for the following ad ventours to Venus is all a Moony pondering s around my lovers I's
Is this the best band ever?
Does anybody else get a heavy bob dylan influence? Or is it just me 🤔🤔🤔

+Nick Taylor Because of all the amps I mean. Also over 100 effects pedals. And in addition to that, his mic-stand appears to have some sort of cup-holder, which I think it quite a good idea.
