I’m surprised double shielding isn’t used much at all in Star Wars. When the outer shield breaks, you force on repairing it while the inner ray shield takes the damage. Before the inner shield is destroyed, the outer shield comes back online while they repair the inner shield.

@@nihluxler1890 not the same thing. over lapping shields doesnt do the same as doubling shields. look at mon calamari cruiser. it has 6 generators. if one shield fails the rest pick up the slack and shield strength loss is minimal. Doubling, if you lose a projector your shields are literally halved.

@@slugman7070 I'd have 2 different types of shield, each using 3 generators. That way it reduces at roughly the same pace but, once you drop below 50%, you can work on repairing the primary shield while the secondary shield is still being bombarded. Being able to repair your shields in the middle of a battle would make a pretty big difference

The Mandalorians sure know how to make great ships. A true showcase of Mandalorian might and power. An absolute incredible and terrifying dreadnought of a vessel. I honestly love all Legends Mandalorian ships, from the Old Republic with this Kandosii to modern day with the Keldabe. And if I was an admiral in Star Wars, I'd command a fleet of Mandalorian warships in all ship types innthe fleet, with Dreadnoughts as Heavy Cruisers for the fleet. I hope we can see more Mando ship videos in the future, they're just so cool!

There may be a case somewhere in the lore. It’s a common belief that the advancements of civilizations always includes a nuclear age. Not always nuclear war, but with the power of the atom comes the possibility of the atom bomb. Then again, I don’t know much about lore outside all the cartoons, movies, and a few books

@@MrJakeros Not gonna lie I forgot about the empire using fusion bombs against mandalore. Makes me wonder if the writers chose that specifically as an inversion of what the mandalorians did there in legends, but it's probably just a coincidence.

This ship probably would have been made when shields were brand new tech, so maybe the double shields are to fix something like overheating or similar?

It's pretty crazy to me that nuclear warfare became practically unknown in the Star Wars galaxy, until the Mandalorians reminded everyone of why it was cast into obscurity so long ago. Actually, some factions did still turn planets into glass deserts through turbolaser bombardment. I suppose that has the upside of not having nuclear fallout

Would cost more money to make models, cgi, and the staff proabably forgotten about the fact mandalorians had larger ships.

If it is possible, as in if we know enough about the subject, a full history and detailed analysis on the human species of Star Wars would be pretty sick. I myself know more about many other species in Star Wars than humans because their humans are very different from real life. We look the same, but we come from different planets, in a different galaxy, and many things aren’t easily accessible to people who don’t read the comics/books or play any of the games like KOTR. People like me, basically.

Finally, someone still willing to admit that the Mandolorian's favorite past-time was genocide.

why does our rules of engagement apply in the SWU?

moncalamari use a shield system that had multiple projectors create overlapping bubbles. if one fialed the rest could pick up the slack to prevent an entire section from losing shields.

Those double layered shielding are most likely for redundancy. The compartments they're protecting wouldn't be compromised if one failed.

I actually hope this is added to the post-ROTJ era in the Mandalorian season movie 4 or whatever or anywhere. An old relic floating in space, and the Mandalorians decide to restore it and try to reverse engineer it. I wanna see it in movie/series canon, or in a game set shortly after they reclaim Mandalore. This ship is so gorgeous! And there are no war crimes in Star Wars. Just suggested atrocities - which I also don't believe in.

Well in Disney canon they are just coming back to a warrior culture after a 1000 years of peace. In Legends they never really lost their Mercenary ways but were more nomadic and didn't have a large population.

The Ships from SWU are Garbidge - every aingle 1 of them...! Mass Effect ships are Amazing....

I LOVE the Kandosii, if I were to have a personal flagship in the Star Wars universe, I’d want it to be an upsized and modernized Kandosii. 😄
