Jack I loved the tension building from the start of the episode. The longer they are together in the Civic Republic the higher the risk of them being found out. With Jadis, Thorne and Beale on Rick’s case and him trying to keep Michonne and the people back home safe, the pressure intensifies. Rick is torn, he knows he can’t leave without risking the lives of everyone he loves. The final scene when the pot has truly boiled over, Michonne pulling them out of the helicopter makes sense, she knows in that moment there is no other way. I look forward to next weeks reaction. Thank you for your reaction. Enjoyed every moment.

EXACTLY!!! they’re such surface level watchers. i’ve been watching TWD with my mom since it started, and over the years i’ve realized how much of a surface watcher she is. she doesn’t see (&/or understand) the depth to the characters, and i’m guessing a lot of those people don’t as well. people have such short attention spans nowadays, and i think they expect consistent “action” or they get bored.. TWD has NEVER been action 24/7 so idk how they could like the earlier seasons but not the later ones?? but, the one thing i absolutely LOVE (& i’m sure everyone agrees) about this franchise is the character development, seeing character interactions and deciphering what’s really going on in their head. they do SO well with nuanced characters. obviously some better than others, but the main crew from the original show is amazing with that. what’s really funny to me though, is when those haters say “i don’t even know why this franchise is still a thing” blah blah, that type of stuff. i’m like??? who cares what you think 🤣 they’re not going to just stop making something because you don’t like it? it’s so wild to me, they must think that the world revolves around them or something 🙄 but, the real TWD community is amazing. -much love to you 😌

Thorne and Jadis are pissing me off so much. Thorne's jealousy of Michonne ( because Michonne being competent stole her spotlight ) and she almost kills her over it? Petty as hell. She also seems like control freak ever since she took job from Okafor. And Jadis emotionally manipulating Rick and even flirting with him now that Michonne is in the picture? She clearly enjoys it tormenting him. Rick can't catch a break man. Though Jadis is clearly portrayed as antagonist so I enjoy her more than Thorne.

My theory is that the show wants us to not trust Thorne, wants us to think that she joined the dark side, when in reality she just really wants to change the CRM for the better. After she got the briefing, she said to Rick "You didn't hear what I heard, you didn't see what I saw", suggesting to me that she is very traumatized right now by what kind of briefing she received from Major General Beale, and stuck up on some sort of "revenge" quest. She's an A, I don't think that she accepts all of the shit that was done. Now she wants to hit the CRM hard, she wants blood, and doesn't want anybody to stop her plan. Okafor spent years to get them to move up the rank, and finally after all this time, she got there, almost capable of changing something, finally ready to complete Okafor's vision. But guess what, Rick put a false B on her shoulder, bringing up a lot of suspicion. If something wrong goes with Michonne, Thorne is to blame, jeopardizing all those years of hard work, exactly when she finally seems able to do something to fight all the bad in the force. Of course she can't let a stubborn A to get in her way right now, and I don't blame her. On that bombed place, she really thought of maybe bringing Michonne on the plan, because she knew that if she enters the city someday, she will break hell loose. But she can't trust her yet. The whole episode she seems so conflicted, like "What the fuck do I do with this Dana?". She didn't kill her because she cares about Rick and his request of saving her, but it's too dangerous. When she said to Rick that she doesn't agree with Okafor on some things, my theory is that she doesn't agree with Okafor on doing this change peacefully, she doesn't agree with him going along with it for so long without actually doing anything to stop it, just because he didn't want any more blood to be spilled. I think she wants the CRM to suffer, she wants to do something by any means necessary, even if that means killing people. And I think she really has a plan for that summit, that's why she was so hung up on the summit going the way it's supposed to (when she made the briefing for that small walker mission). I wouldn't put it past her to go on Okafor's route back on the day, and want to bomb all the higher ups at the summit, even though it's very dangerous and probably stupid. I just think that she's done with all of it, that she fails to think rationally and for the long run anymore. Who knows, maybe she heard about the (delayed because of World Beyond, but imminent) plan to kill Portland and that's why she is willing to cause so much damage to stop it. That's my interpretation of her character. Maybe I'm so wrong, but that's why I find her character so well written and acted. She's so hard to read.

And to be fair, only from her point of view, if I'd be in her place, I'd kill Michonne, because ofc I don't know her and why would I let a degenerate A to ruin my plan exactly when after all those years I finally got the rank where I can do something to change this place.

@@adamturek210 Thorne pissed us off by trying to kill one of our protagonists, but we know the protagonist, Thorne doesn't. And for others, Michonne really is a pain in the ass inside the CRM territory at the moment (even for Rick kinda). I don't blame anyone for seeing her as a threat lol

I love how in a post apocalyptic world of walking deads where Rick is trapped in a community with military surveillance, the biggest problem that Rick has(atleast in this episode) is that his wife is mad af at him😂😂 Also,i hate people who are like, "just kill off Jadis already" I do believe she will die but god i wanna see a lot more of her before she does.

Did you see what the chopper flew over on the way up to that base? Michonne did. And she saw where the chopper was flying over on the way back in the storm because the chopper was flying low in the storm. She knew exactly what she was doing, AND she knew they might not be going home (aka Die Trying To Escape) but she needed to knock some sense back into her man’s head,

I’m hoping they don’t rush through things toward the end like the final 2 episodes of the walking dead. I really do hope they have more than this one 6 episode season. This has been beyond great.

Michonne took the RDIM, that Thorne *clearly* couldn’t handle, and she completed the mission with Rick. Instead of being butthurt because she looked inefficient, Thorne should have praised Michonne after dressing her down, and offered her a promotion. But no. CRM Clara got put out, and sent Michonne home. (She thought.) Then Bowlcut showed up and pushed Rick into Desperation Panic mode. The way he ran over to Michonne to keep her from doing or saying anything to Bowlcut had me dying.

I agree with your rant Jack! The twists and turns exist because it’s very complex and far reaching. All these strong personalities: Rick Michonne Thorne Jadis Beale Okafor his past, influence and power that has already had impact.

I think you might be right about Jadis. I could see her flipping to help Rick and Michonne out at the last second. On that same note, I could see Thorne turning against them completely.

This show has me on the edge of my seat unlike this franchise has for quite some years. It's so insanely good and exciting!

The cars and the cable is exactly what I thought of. I was almost expecting a 1sec flash to that scene

What always struck me about Jadis was that she was connected to Okafor. He was trying to change CRM, especially some of the more "evil" aspects of their policies like the A vs. B selections. It will be interesting to see if there are others within the CRM who are involved. Loved your "rant" before the reaction. I love the complex nature of Jadis’s character. I smile when she enters the scene. Plus she saved Rick’s life. Where would we be if she hadn’t saved him.

I don't know if this is a possible spoiler, but in the promo you can see that Rick and Michonne are in a building, and in one scene we see that Rick is looking at a helicopter. In the trailers of the series you can see how a helicopter launches a missile against the building, and later see from the mirror of a car how the building falls. Will these scenes be connected? I just had to come and say thanks for the great reactions, reviews and points on the show. Ive watched a lot of reactions and reviews on the show since the start. Theres a few I enjoy but for the most part is seems most people just want this to be just the "Rick Grimes show" and have him bite everyones neck out! Dont get me wrong, I like savage Rick too but for this storyline, thats not the man were going to see at first. He's broken, he's defeated, and the main thing he's human! He's allowed other feelings beside rage! And dont get me started on how a lot of people act is though Michonne isnt even in the show.🤬 Why people dont seem to understand this is a Rick AND Michonne story baffles me. Anyways, sorry for the rant but I figured you wouldnt mind lol. Let me go hit that subscribe button and ill see ya for episode 4!!

God Jadis is such a menace in this show. She has always had such shading and complexity to her character and I feel like they have perfected the writing for her character in this show, and the true potential of Jadis as a character has been captured. The only character to emasculate both Negan and Rick. I have a love/hate relationship with Jadis in this show, but I hope Rick brings her down. Also, Danai!!!!!! That last shot?!? Dammmm girl #yeet

Apparently Season 1 puts a bow on Richonne. If there’s a Season 2, I’d expect it to be about some others Who Live. That’s what I want. And I better not see Season 1 end with Rick or Michonne dead. Especially Michonne. I don’t want to see a Black woman sacrifice herself. And I don’t want Rick to go through everything to be with this woman and his family, to lose her.

I love your take on Jadas. I’m one of the few that believes Anne is still in her. I remember that she actually has a conscience. She gave mercy to Negan and father Gabriel. She could have had the CRM take them and she didn’t. And how can anyone hate her after she saved Rick? He would have died without going to an actual hospital with all the resources. I’m sure he had to have so much transfusions because he lost so much blood. I think Jadas will let Rick and Michoone go in the end. And I can hear her tell Rick that she lied about having a file. I think the true villain is Beale and Thorne. But we will have to wait and see how this plays out. And I’m loving your reactions by the way

You think that Thorne could be our Okafor?? Jesus. Lol Thorne is barely a fcking "A" 💆🏽‍♀️ despite your feelings otherwise. Despite what Okafor thought. Her shooting him and the reasons he felt were behind it, led him to that conclusion. That and she appears tough. ;) lol In her own right, perhaps she is. But she's doesn't strike me as Okafor level ready.

When I pointed a machine gun at Pearl, I somehow imagined flashbacks with Shane when he pointed a shotgun at Rick in the woods. For some reason, it seemed to me that she might be jealous of Rick and Michonne. After all, it's been 7 years since his disappearance, and who knows, maybe Rick had something with her, but they didn't show it to us.

I’m really unsure why people are assuming jealousy as the first thing or that they had some sort of relationship 🤔. Rick doesn’t strike me as someone to do that after Michonne knowing she is still out there plus jealousy just doesn’t fit for me, I feel she is anxious, overwhelmed & nervous about Michonne causing problems because she is incapable of following directions 🤔

I personally have always liked Jadis.. I hope she doesn't end up actually being completely bad.. I hope she helps Rick & Michonne get away and covering up for them.. However i do think she will kill Michonne..

Yeah I think you might be lol. Has she Had desires? Absolutely 😂, but actually acted on them? I H I G H L Y doubt it 😂 the writers wouldn’t do that & I don’t think Rick would’ve either. Her saying “Yes yes yes” was referencing her unique dialect/language back at the junkyard. “Tamiel, Brion, show Rick Up, Up, Up.” Was one of the things she said so it seems to just be her poking fun at the dialect she created 😂. If she was making a reference to them banging, I feel like there would’ve been some spice & passion behind those words 😆

Idk why people suddenly think they would kill off one of their 2 most valuable characters in TWD Universe 😂 that would certainly kill any chance of continuing the franchise with any remaining audience falling off faster than with Carl or Glenn 🤔.
