@@DJAnonyMIX Being broken, for a time, has nothing to do with whether or not there is character development. In fact, it is a big part of that. She's been through more that just about anyone on the show, and grown from the meek beaten wife into one of the strongest and most capable characters. She's dealt with horrific losses, had to do awful things that have weighed on her in various ways, and yeah she's a bit broken right now. It's understandable, imo. That's not to say she's not making mistakes, but they all do. To quote Lydia from this episode, "they aren't perfect, they're human".

The reason Laura didn’t kill Beta was because Gabriel told them to not kill the Whisperers; They’ll be tortured later to “break them.” Beta’s body armor was from an Alexandrian he killed as well; the first ones they showed before he went all Michael Myers.

@FEAR The Walking Don I agree. I think her and Ryan(Beta) and Samantha(Alpha) have helped bring back the horror element that this show was lacking.

I know Laura wasn't a main character but she kinda grew on me, i still think it's weird we didn't see any kind of burial.

Man this episode was very suspenseful. 😬. Alot of minor and major characters almost met their ends.Beta was scary AF. Him infiltrating Alexandria and his subsequent slaughter of a lot of its citizens was like something out of some slasher movie.

Gregory Reed Same. Carol’s sense of urgency was completely founded.

The grave Beta enters from is Cheryl's grave. Remember Dante infiltrated for four months prior to his demise. All of his actions were calculated. Scott stated the Whisperers blocked portions of the tunnels when they discovered the grave. The Whisperers had months to enact this plan but you can only play that card once. The question is was this the actual plan for the tunnel from the beginning. Beta should've died in Alexandria but the same could be the said for Daryl and Alpha. The plot armor is so thick! Lets be real Alpha was not dying this early in the season. No body its not real! Connie and Magna could easily exit the cave at some point as Whisperers and walk out with the horde. They just need to find the right exit. Their fates will be revealed late in the season as a climax is what I am thinking. Concept of time is never defined in this show. We are seeing different timeline from different perspectives.

WillFanofMany the earliest they would have a major kill would be 15 out of 16 episodes, like last year’s pike scene...honestly, once Alpha dies, the whisperer war is basically over just like Negan’s capture ended the all out war. Where do we go from here!? Alpha will stay alive rest of this season if not into season 11 when Maggie returns.

Honestly when beta came out of the grave it scared the shit out of me because he is honestly very terrifying because of he’s a huge dude. I completely agree that these last two episodes have been two of the best episodes this season and maybe throughout the entire show

This episode was phenomenal... caught a few Easter eggs too... beta was like Michael Myers creeping around. It was terrifying

Watching Beta sneak around and feeling so tense had me feeling the same way as when we were watching Nikki walk around in Visage for the first time! Creepy AF!!! I love how the collective reaction to Gabriel saying “see you soon.” is “ooohhh shit!” 😂 Also, I get Judith killing someone is a bit much to ask, she’s a badass but she’s still a child. But surely Gamma would take the gun and put a round through Beta’s head?! Grateful Lydia turned out to be the stalker!!

So happy that Lydia is back already. I've been wondering how long we were going to have to wait until she returned and thankfully it wasn't for long. This along with those last couple minutes was the best part of this episode.

Quentin Ballantyne-Petroff But what is her purpose exactly? Sure, Daryl partly cares for her. But Henry is dead, her mother is soon to be dead (from my opinion) Even if her mother doesn't die, what's Lydia’s plot? She never got to even meet Carl. Even so, in the comic her character was good at first but later on served nothing for the story!

That whole episode was amazing. What scares me now is Father Gabe and what could be in store for him. It just gives me shivers. Also thank you for saying my response for last week.

There's a scene in the prison when Rick finds Tomas and Co locked up. He tells Rick not to go into one of the small rooms because that's where him and his other prison friends have been going to the bathroom the entire time they've been in there. Rick opens the door and is thrown back by the smell.

I really hope Connie isn't dead I really want that Donnie relationship to continue! Also I really don't know why they made us think Alpha was going to die? I wouldn't have liked it if they made Alpha a zombie that would've ruined the rest of the season for me. But if she does die then Negan and Beta might fight over who will be the next Alpha.

RIP Laura. Even though she played a smaller role she was a crucial member of the team. She came into TWD world a badass and left the same way. Hope she gets some recognition next week.

This season has felt like an exponential growth chart in terms of intensity and anxiety.

Agreed. Season 9 and 10 are amazing and some of my favourite seasons of the show and it's such a shame that many people have dropped the show before they could check them out, they're really missing out!

Great reaction guys! I'm in total agreement. Alpha and The Whisperers are so damn interesting. They've brought the horror back to TWD. They brought the walkers back into focus as a threat again and Samantha Morton as Alpha... OH EM GEE! She is phenomenal. The best villain this show has ever had, I just love her (well, love to hate her crazy ass). Juditth taking down Beta... I mean, come on! How bad ass was that? Beta going full Michael Myers too. I don't think she's dead. Really I'm glad she's still on the show, she has a youtube channel and did a video where she talked about the audition. They didn't tell her it was for TWD, a lot of the characters who have open auditions don't know what they are auditioning for until after they meet.

Y'all lucky being Carol and Darryl fans. My favorite character's son died for nothing and he got taken away to nowhere land right out of the show.

In Judith’s defence she shot Beta through a door so she couldn’t see where she was aiming. Also if you look at where she did shoot him it was high in his chest and if he wasn’t such a huge beast that would be anyone else’s head 😂 great episode!

There is a HUGE parallel between Daryl and Rick in this episode... Rick impaled and having to pull out the weapon from him, bleeding out and still killing walkers on episode 9x05 and Daryl impaled on the leg with a knife, pulling it out and bleeding out while still fighting walkers., has anyone noticed that?

Awesome episode and loved Lydia telling Alpha she wasn’t there for her. As soon as we saw her there I knew she was there to save Darryl. Still waiting for news on Connie and Magna and praying for the ultimate throwdown rematch Darryl vs Beta round 2.

I loved the way that they only focused on father gabriel « blind eye » meaning that he still can « see » the truth among lies even with this « one ».
