@@silntkllshe was a good character. Everything she did had reason. But audience just thinks they know how to survive an apocalypse just because they are privy to the scenes. It’s the separation from the group that was the characters downfall.

I love her she invested so much as Andrew did in that character.

You can tell how much Laurie really loved Andrea and really loved this job. She signed an 8 year contract with AMC when the show was picked up and was told that her character would follow Andrea in the comics. I think she was totally blindsided by the season 3 move and just really wanted to tell Andrea's true story before Glenn fucked it up, and that breaks my heart.

Her contract wasn't guaranteed, the years were at their option. An 8-year non-guaranteed contract is exactly that, non-guaranteed.

@@siberianhusky5874that’s not how it is. A contract is a contract. I’m sure there’s clauses in case the show fails but other than that you can’t just change what’s promised.

Pretty sure this interview was done after they had finished filming season 3 but before the finale aired. Laurie Holden is most definitely crying not only because of what she said, but also due to knowing her character was gong to die at the end of the season. There have been other interviews she did around this time before the airing of "Welcome to the Tombs" where she is obviously trying her best to hold back her emotions. Knowing how much these people love their job/characters makes it kind of heartbreaking to see them cry like this. Glenn Mazzara ruined her character completely for me in season 3, and her death was/is the biggest mistake done on the show.

Agreed. Andrea was such an amazing and interesting character. It's obvious that they killed her off just because of all the hate her character got. Now the show is filled with a bunch of boring characters like Abraham, Sasha, Eugene, Tara, and Rosita.

Wow, everything about your comment is spot on. Although Andrea at times was flawed, she really was an excellent character that the show definitely screwed up. I'm wondering if something happened behind the scenes where they just wanted to get rid of Laurie Holden. I hope that's not the case, but you never know.......

@@estrella_star yes it was tf? It was like they just killed her off for the sake of it. there was literally no need no sense or meaning or time for her to go. Shane's made sense him vs Rick. Dale had reminded the group of humanity and then died. Lori died during a c section which again made sense. Andreas death was just so stupid. She could fight 3 walkers but all of a sudden she couldn't fight one?

She still the best character ever on the show. So sad the twist they gave her on season 3, she was an ass kicker.

@3:05 I just love Chris Hardwick. If I didn't already love him, he's my boo now. The writers wrote her the way they wanted to then killed her off the way they wanted to regardless as to who did it. And from what I've seen the rating went up to over 17 million at it's highest AFTER her death. If it was a mistake killing her off every show on TV should make such an error.

how could anyone dislike it? She is a beautiful, intelligent and very positive human. She doesnt spread negativity, and this is why people love her so much ...

In the show to me Andrea was annoying! 😑1st in the beginning she aimed a gun at Rick saying that it’s his fault that people died foe no reason! 2nd she is so Scary, when the governor killed Milton she had a wrench thingy and she wouldn’t have died if she would’ve STOPPED LOOKING AT MILTON AND UNLOCK HERSELF FROM THE CHAIR 🪑 THEN KILL MILTON! THEN SHE COPIED MICHONNE’S MOVES KNOWING THAT SHE WAS WEAK! MY DAD SAID THAT ANDREA WASN’T WORTH 2 DEAD FLYS! 😂😂😂😂 (Now that’s true!) AND I NIGHT SHE COULD’VE KILLD THE GOVERNOR WHILE HE WAS SLEEP BUT SHE WAS TOOOO SCARY! AND SHE LOVED THE GOVERNOR
