Eric Nelson it’s official he left the show even the writers and directors said it themselves that he left the walking dead show, but he didn’t leave the franchise they are making movies off him after all but he left the show for good and they might end his story in the movies and the only way to do that is kill him because his story is with Alexander but he’s not gonna go back to them because Andrew Lincoln left and won’t come back. Rick doesn’t have a story with anyone else since for last few years he’s only been with the people in Alexander so I’m thinking how they gonna end his story in the movies and I think they have to kill him in his third movie

It was amazing how they found Andy. Not only was he meant to be Rick but also his chemistry with Jon Bernthal (Shane) was off the charts.

AMC should have done WHATEVER it took to have kept this guy. Hell, they could have moved the entire thing to England for him. There's no reason why they couldn't have filmed out there. Or, they could have moved his family to the U.S. Either way, they could have made this work and chose not to.

You've gotta think about the majority of the cast, he left to be with his family cuz he's away from home 8 or 9 months out of the year. If they moved filming over to England the entire cast would have to do the same deal as he was for the majority of the year

Well I agree it sucks Carl left, but you can't blame AMC.... they literally had no choice. Contract ended and the actor playing Carl did not want to renew it, so what is AMC to do? Much better killing him off, rather than replacing the actor, with someone else. They can only do so much

Chandler had gotten a house near the WD set because he was told Carl would be around for 3 more seasons and then just a few weeks before he filmed Carl's death scene, he was told Carl was being killed off. It was before he turned 18 and it was mostly likely because AMC like the cheap greedy assholes that they've proven to be, didn't want to negotiate a higher salary since Chandler was about to legally become an adult. So no Chandler was looking forward to more story with Carl but he was fired

I loved those 8 first seasons. BUT HEY, who wants a show to "always look the same" forever and ever? Boring. So I'm not to fight the change. I knew this day would come eventually. I will never forget the first episode..how grippingly compelling his performance was as Rick.

They all have been working pretty steadily while on The Walking Dead. Everyone,except Andrew Lincoln. I don't think he has done another project since he has been on this show. This show has taken up most of his time. And when he's not doing things for the show, I'm sure he is trying to be there for his family. Andrew Lincoln deserves this. He loves this show. It has been one of the greatest things to happen to him. He has said it many many times. But he is a SPECTACULAR actor and he deserves to spread his wings like everyone else in the cast has done.WE ARE ALL SAD he is leaving the show we love, but we should thank him and wish him well on his continued journey. He brought Rick Grimes to life and I personally don't think anyone could have done a better job! Now it is time for him to move on. Lets support him and his decision.

I loved hearing Gale talk about first seeing Andy audition for Rick. I remember waiting weeks for the pilot to air. I thought, as i watched Rick breakdown and cry in the middle of the living room screaming for “Lori! Coral!” and how scared and confused he was. I was like this is the guy from the trailer that will become the leader???😂😅😂Exquisitely well done. Thank you Andy and TWD

You could tell after Norman said his words about Andy's departure he got really sad . He rarely started laughing at jokes after that and he just looked full on pissed. I'm sad i can't stop crying, he was such a genuine person and was always happy and glowing even on his lowest days . I'm gonna miss Rick and I'm kinda curious to see how they will portrayals ricks death .

I remember after Carl died you could tell the OG cast weren't happy. I remember Norman saying something to the effect of 'S1 characters are the core of the show, you just don't kill them off'. Plus him and Andrew are great friends in real life. I wouldn't be surprised if he's considering his own future now so many of the original cast are gone.

My favorite moment of Rick Grimes that is overlooked in all his great speech moments throughout the series is when they are in the CDC and Jenner just told everyone they were going to blow up and it was all going to be over. And the whole group is speechless and there's a moment of silence. Then you can see the group kind of turn their attention to Rick who was standing there speechless as well. And Rick noticed that...and he takes the reigns and says "I think you're lying" continued on by his first speech of hope he gives in the series. It showed that he knew then that he was going to be the leader of the group and he was more than willing to accept that role. Anyway, that's just my favorite senpai Rick moment

Thank you Andrew Lincoln and I wish great success on your future endeavors. Because of my love for all the characters Michone, Carol, Darryl, Maggie, and new ones, I'm going to continue to watch. I love this show and these people, not just Rick.

dude look, you can troll all you want but this is the way it is. i was hooked on this show before rick's patrol car came to a stop in s1e1. BUT this is the story of RICK GRIMES. to me, if he dies, so does the show.

We are so glad Andrew got this part and I as a USA fan discovered a new actor . I just love this show the cast is so talented. I'm looking forward to following Andrew in his new ventures. Danaii I love you and your acting !!!!!

It's a SHOW with ACTORS playing parts based on comic book characters. LOVE the hearts and little faces, so deep.

I still to this day remember the very first scene with Andrew Lincoln that scene with the revolver in the Walker girl still sends chills spine and after nine years while I can say is wherever Andrews career takes him I'll still be watching all those years before thank you so very much Andrew Lincoln

Ok love them all but Lauren was amazing cause she was like I didn’t get to say my goodbye to Andy and proceed to give an amazing beautiful speech

I think they will if you really listen to the cast you can work out that Negan will outlive Rick and the way michonne talks about rick indicates that he has died. Still i could be wrong. Either way im checking out after rick leaves/dies.

They shouldn’t have announced his departure. They should have just let it all unfold on screen. Imagine the fan reactions.

Watching Norman and Andrew.....the tears flow.....

My mother turned me onto TWD. I never give myself time to watch TV (nowadays netflix). My mother was simple and would just watch whatever was on.. she fell in love with Glenn and Rick. So, she got me to watch one prison episode. I loved it! Went home and started from scratch. I caught up with her, and then we started tradition of watching the show weekly..even though it had down times ( we would often fall asleep during Woodbury scenes). My mother passed away in 2014, but I kept going. Suddenly I couldn't watch anymore cause it made me sad. Took a break catching current episodes. Finally binged and caught up and am finishing season 9 right now. My thoughts up until this point? Mom would not have have been able to handle Glenn's last moment. Holy shit that was intense! Anyways, I'm carrying on in honor of my mother, and I'm absolutely stoked to hear that Rick Grimes will be back for some movies!!!

If no one never watched the earlier years of TWD,well they have missed out on the best scenes of this no longer interesting show. This show now is all about the Narcissist Groups terrorizing one another. In my opinion the show has been over and I am over TWD.

people hate how TWD kills off so many people, but I like that, it's so realistic to what the real apocalypse would be. we'll never who will die and will never know how soon and frequent deaths will be
