Dont know if anyone stated this yet but Rick was in a coma for about 4 weeks and yes there is an explanation to how he survived but I dont wanna give spoilers. Dont read to much into how the walkers act in the first season-early 2nd season they were still trying to work out how the walkers would be. Also they dont use the term zombie in this show because zombies arent a thing in their world. No movies, video games etc about them.

Hands down one of my favorite shows ever! This is an amazing show, super excited for you guys to react to it. And you guys made some great observations and had some great questions, can't wait to see you guys see this story unfold. Hope you react often! And this 1st episode really is amazing, I get chills everytime I watch it. Some clarifications or explanations: - in this show's universe, zombie media does not exist so the people in this show had no idea what was happening when the apocalypse started and had to learn over time what to do and how to kill them. And they don't actually ever call them zombies. People develop their own names for them, most popular being 'walker', which is what Morgan called them this episode. - Rick was in a coma for about 2 months. - You might notice some intelligence from the walkers in this 1st season like the little girl picking up her teddy bear or Morgan's wife coming back to the house and turning the door knob. This won't last. The actual reasoning for it is that the show runner for the 1st season wanted the walkers to be more intelligent, but was fired and so that idea kinda fell to the side. But a fun, in universe reasoning, can be that the earlier on in the apocalpyse and the more recently turned a walker was, the more they might have retained their brain and motor function, but as time goes on and bodies decay more and more, the walkers get much less inteliigent and more like actual walking corpses. Which makes sense to me!

It's been about 2 months in the apocalypse. There are webisodes that hint at a nurse that was the one to keep rick alive as long as she could. Episode 3 is the one to watch for some answers..I won't spoil in case you're not there yet.

WoW me being a huge TWD fan I started watching this show back when it originally premiered on Halloween night in 2010, and I've been hooked ever since it's such a iconic show... I've now seen everything in the TWD universe and trust me y'all the TWD universe is HUGE you have the main show which is 11 seasons, and then you currently have 6 spin-off shows. So yeah lot's of TWD content to keep you busy for a very very long time LOL. Cheers and take care.

I've watched this show front to back many times over, and this is the first time I noticed a car horn sound as Rick inspected the vase of dead flowers! I feel compelled to say: at the outset you both looked uncomfortable and quite reticent about watching this show. I gave you both the benefit of the doubt and I'm glad I did coz, to me, you seem naturals and react very well to camera! I think you're going to love this show. I hope you pick up the subscribers you deserve!

I remember showing this to my grandpa but started with the police shootout scene. (he hates zombies/monster movies). We both watched till end of season 2. Sadly he died last 2 months. i miss him but I glad he was with me till his end watched this masterpiece

The show was released and the first season was set in 2010 👍🏼 it was filmed over 12 years (real time) by the time it finished in 2022 with 11 seasons & 177 episodes! From the start of the show until the final episode in TWD, the storyline has time jumps throughout and shows the story over about 13 1/2 years. They don’t show us this, but Rick wakes up from the coma on day 59 of the apocalypse 👍🏼

So this is my favorite show and i just subscribe after i watched the reaction. The behavior of the zombies are supposed to be mindless and uncoordinated you will notice contradictions to that in the first season example lik gurl picking up the toy and the wife looking at peek hole and twisting door know but all that changes in season 2 forward because they changed show runners. Great reaction and im looking forward to your journey.

Halloween 2010 was the air date of the first episode, I'm pretty sure. I started watching at the premiere. I think Game of Thrones also came out in 2010. 2010 was a life-changing year for me (husband's company transferred him to a new state where we had no friend/familial connections), so I tend to remember things that happened around then. TWD and Game of Thrones were wonderful distractions from leaving our entire lives behind. When Rick got to his house, and is questioning the reality of what's happening, always makes me cry. This poor man! ETA: When this premiered, I'd already been married for 22 years, and personally, I couldn't have moved on from my husband to his BFF that quickly, if at all, so I had a hard time relating to Lori. Mostly I hate Shane, because he clearly took advantage of the whole 'hey, your husband died, the world's ending, but I'll protect you and Carl, 'kay, babe?' thing. Instant villain in my view; never take advantage of people that are traumatized and in a precarious situation (they think their survival depends on you, mostly because you've implied that it does). As a woman, I've been put in similar - if much less immediate -situations, and it's never good.

My fav show… you guys get an instant subscribe… for your reaction of Rick in the stairwell. You can always tell when reactors are REAL when they go through that scene. Nothing happens… but it’s the most unsettling feeling. I had lots of friends decide not to watch the show because it was dark in the stairwell and they couldn’t take it. But some reactors just jabber away during that scene like it’s no biggie. Also not as a spoiler but as a special effects and makeup artist… try to remember that the walkers are made of/or eating things made of… either bbq sauce and chicken or cherry pie. Especially during the second episode.
