Sue - I am so sad to read this. God bless you, your daughter and your family. If I am not mistaken, this song is written by Julie Miller of Texas, wife of guitarist, Buddy Miller. Julie had a VERY sad and difficult life she describes in a video somewhere on KZread. Possibly her most famous song is "All My Tears," a song recorded by very many people in many places, including Emmylou Harris. I have lately been sad that I was never able to have a child because of a disease I have; my two sisters and I were born with that disease which was trasmitted to us by our late, sweet father (a decorated WWII Army Officer, POW and I have two friends whose three children are all deceased from that didease. I accepted long ago that my horses, my cats and my dogs are just my children, however, I am always aware that I just CANNOT EVEN IMAGINE for the life of me what it is like to lose a child. I feel so deeply for you.

There is no such thing as a 'bad' version of this Julie Miller TREASURE, but this is one of the best, and most heartfelt, as much as I ADORE Cry Cry Cry's version with Larry Campbell's phenomenal fiddle playing as accompaniment. ;) These women are BEYOND amazing, both vocally AND instrumentally, and their harmonies sound as if they were BORN to sing together!!
