    Good video Tyler. Thanks for sharing your pro experience. I discovered when i snip off an 1/8 inch of lead from a 1/32 oz lead nail and insert it in the fat end it increases the diameter or the spiral of the 5" senko as it falls. When i did that i went from no bites on a swimbait to 15 bass in a 50 yards of weedline. Keep making these videos on what the pros use and how they the baots.

    I referred back to one of your earlier videos wherein you experimented using a fountain pen spring inserted into the worm for whacky rigging in an attempt to make it more durable. There is another method to consider that expands the load-bearing area of the hook-to-worm connection. Purchase 1/4 in (6mm) and 3/8 in (9.5 mm) clear, thin-walled, shrink wrap tubing. Either a 2:1 or 3:1 shrink ratio is fine. The 1/4" is for thinner diameter worms (e.g., Trick Worms) and the 3/8" is for Ocho/Senkos. Snip off a 3/8" or smaller length of the tubing and slide it onto the worm to the location wherein you want to hook it. Shrink the tubing using a BIC lighter, or something similar. It does not take much heat and will not harm the worm unless you go crazy with holding the flame there too long. Thereafter, insert the hook through both the shrink wrap tubing and the worm. Have you ever tried this method? I have VMC's new crossover rings but believe shrink tubing provides a more durable connection at lower cost.

    I always have a wacky rig tied on. I would say half the fish I ever caught are with a wacky. Maybe I’m in the minority, but I love a small circle hook with an o ring on mine, and I seem to have no issues with hooking up. Thanks for the videos as always dude!

  • @CoreyBanks1
    @CoreyBanks1 Жыл бұрын

    Land em everytime because the hook is small. Think of a offset hook. There usually a inch or more of hook hanging out there mouth which might now sound like much, but it’s enough weight when they are head shaking to come out. Wacky hooks are so small there is no extra hook hanging out, meaning the hook doesn’t move inside there mouth. I’ve had them before where I set the hook. Thought I missed them, and I reel in all my slack and they are still on. Best rig in my opinion. Close with DROPSHOT

    I had came back from a 3 day skunk trip bank fishing california salt water coast, decided to stop by this lake called clear lake in california. Just at a rest stop i stopped to take a piss and i looked at the water and said why not. I had a few bass rods and 1 was rigged to a wacky rig. On second cast i thought snagged into a log. No! this was no log it was a 6 lb large mouth bass. Was literally shaking as i was pulling her out the water, cars were driving by because it was a highway and honking at me as they saw me pull out this log out of the water. Few weeks or maybe a month later a big tournament was held on the kayak's which i was following some utuber's videos. The biggest fish was like a 3 lb on that tournament and out of 165 anglers less than half caught a fish. So def i still to this day feel blessed. Which is why i am so addicted to bass fishing today and fishing in general.

They just stocked bass and bluegill in this year so they're like 1/2 lb. tops and it was purely a trout and catfish water before. On fwc website for my state said they've been good on live worms so got the senkos in a natural brown color. Also caught a trout with said wacky rig 😂 did not expect that to work out
