Take a long look you are not going to see talent like this anymore these guys were cut from a different cloth then most musicians .
It doesn't get any better than this. I've always been jealous of Danko's voice.

Es mi voz favorita también. Tenía una capacidad para las armonías vocales, que no he visto en nadie más. Too soon gone.

E-vocative… 🙌
Garth coming out from hiding to blow a kick ass sax solo. Perfection.

Although somebody made this point: Sitting right behind Garth - and just playing parts all night - was Joe Farrell, one of NYC's best jazz saxophonists.
Once your hear them, you can't forget them... The Band IS a medicine show!
Has there ever been a more natural, honest to god brilliant band in the entirety of popular music? I very much doubt it! Apart from playing the music for their audience, these guys are looking out for each other like soldiers in the trenches. A band in the truest sense of the word! Quite remarkable how their class and musicianship have yet to be equalled to this day, some 50 odd years later.
We were at the concert, December 30th, 12th row. They were my favorite Band live; better than studio recordings. It was one of the first shows they played with the horn section. 52 years ago, and I can still feel tuba reverberating through my body. I'm so grateful for these videos; they transport me back in time.
Those were the days of real music !
RIP Robbie 💔 your spirit will never die ❤🎶🎸🥀🕊️🕯️🙏
Brilliant. The Band will live forever.

My words exactly!!!!
Toussaint came up with fantastic horn charts on this one, even compared to the rest of his writing for this concert.
We shall not see their like again. Unique and wonderful with a touch of magic.
Always a blast when Garth steps to the mic.
Long Live the Band. Educate the masses
Garth is doing a solo? Let's zoom in on that music stand
Their stage setup mimics exactly their basement jamming setup.
What a Banger
This album should be in every collection 😍
This just made me smile for like the first time in two weeks. I love them so much.
I listen to this at least 100 times a year and it sounds fantastic every time , it pulls me in and just consumes me while I’m listening THE BAND is just incredible
Rock of Ages!
Alan Toussaint and his horn section for this show...just amazing work.

Toussaint's trademark stop-time horns pushing the last choruses and that high trumpet shake from the great Snooky Young at the very end. Brilliant!
ore please....more, more, more. Or, just release the whole thing! Yeah!!!
Fucking awesome!
Great .... Great...Great.... Love Garth's sax playing.... Love the close-ups of Levon's playing.. Keep these coming.
Bring out ' the best horn men in New York'
RIP Robbie Robertson 😞
It just can't get any better.

Great acoustics. The Band at their peak and no screaming crowd. A smattering of applause at the end.
I've had this on LP, CD + Cassaette and never knew Garth was blowing up the Sax on this song. Fantastic video great sound + perspectives. "Rock of Ages" on Video would/will be collected.
Love It!
💥💯
At their peak. Love this!
Man these guys were in the pocket
RIP Robbie
Music - wonderful. Camerawork - terrible. Still, a thumbs up because it's The Band.

Let's cut away from Garth while he does his sax solo. 😂

@@scottharrison9768 Yes. Cut away from whomever should be the focus at any given time. I guess the cameraperson didn't have room to maneuver.

This was a two night set, so I’m guessing they’ve parsed together lots of clips and needed to hide some parts that didn’t truly sync to the music. Your point still stands…. Awful camerawork, but I’m always grateful to see the Band
Robbie's guitar is sick here!
#joshuasrow ❤🎉😊

Did Levon ever change drum heads? 🤣
the Band unparrelled. RR ripped off his brothers, shameless phony . garth Levon rick and Richie the essence of spiritual camaraderie

Robbie did not rip off his brothers. They all made a lot of money. If he made more it is because he wrote the songs and kept things together when the others, except for Garth, were too stoned to show up for practice and to write songs. If they couldn't hold on to the money they made that is not Robbie's fault. Having said all of that I love all them, especially Rick and Robbie.

Prove he did, then. Anything besides "Levon said so"?
