I formed waterworks when .she said “you accepted me for the way I am and not how you would of wanted me to be.than he said “I just want you to be happy “. The vow is one of my favourite movies. It just brought back so much memories watching that movie.

And yet she actually stopped seeing him because she was tired of disappointing him and being pressured to be like the way she used to be with him before the accident. But somehow… she forgot that too and suddenly she considers him as accepting of her, even when she wasn’t meeting his expectations?? This dialogue is incoherent. They could have played it otherwise and still get things to come full circle, without drenching it in idealism. It would still be romantic.

Some people does not see what the final dialog means, when he says about going to a new place that they've neven been before, is like he's conscious that this is not a continuation from the relationship they had before, this is new, if we want to have a second chance, we need to go further than before, to a new place where we've never been into

I love this actress. Her emotions are saw raw and the Chicago city scape is so beautifully romantic.., and the snow falling. Just beautiful.

I always loved this scene. The color lights behind her. The meaning behind it. She’s finally finding herself. Compare it to the scene in the wedding where they break up and there’s white-still lights behind her representing the boring and dull life she had in her past and was reliving at that moment. Representing her blank memory to it now having newfound colors.

Loved this movie and this final scene couldn't have been a better ending. A fresh start to create new memories together.

This is the way we should look at relationship...thanks.

Except the true story this is based on, they remarried had kids…and he cheated on her. Then they divorced shortly after this movie was made.

One of my all time favorite songs. The Cure "pictures of you". Beautiful tune

The acting by these 2 really sells this scene. Also the dialogue is just spot on....You can see it in their eyes that they are feeling this part....And I'm not big on H"wood or actors for reasons I won't disclose. But the ending to this movie is absolutely perfect. Just love the ending and you can literally feel the love these characters have for each other!

This is a really thick rewrite. She woke up thinking it was 5 years ago, that she was engaged to someone, that she had a certain relationship with her family, and found out everything in her life had been completely turned upside down for no apparent reason. She didn’t know the first thing about how she’d gotten there. Eventually she understood how her world view had shifted, why she’d ended that relationship, moved, pursued a new career, became more of the person she was before the accident instead of the person she was five years ago. People are so mad at her being loyal to the person she thought she was engaged to! just bc of the POV of the movie, it’s insane!

@@ran52475 yes i saw the movie and everything. The reason why everybody is upset is not because of her feelings, is because of how she handled that situation. Not knowing doesnt mean innocence. She knew she was married to someone else at least she could respect that, not giving false hope beacause she did and then go a be a hoe to your ex. If you want to be back with him ok! But do it right, finish your current relationship DONT HAVE SEX WITH YOUR HUSBAND if you clearly have feelings for someone else and then once you get the divorce you can bang all the continent if you like. She didnt do it right, that is why everybody hates her, and leo was a idiot fot taking her back.

I'm usually not a fan of romantic movies and I have delayed watching this one tons of times before, but today I was like "fuck it, let's watch it and see how good it is" .. and frankly I wasn't expecting the ending to be potentially happy .. Needless to say this ending is sweeter than hot chocolate, and I just love every second of it

The moral of the story is he had to accept her for who she was now instead of trying to pick up the pieces of who she once once he decided to start again and focus on a new future with her. Beautiful story I’d give it a 10 but people would complain so I’ma give it a 9

This movie doesn’t even hold the same value for considering the guy Kim Carpenter who Leo is based off of cheated on the the women Krickitt Carpenter who Paige is based off of

Not sure when this came out but I only watched it earlier this year. I put off watching it simply because I'm not a big channing tatum fan, I mean I don't dislike him I just find most of his acting to be very monotone and devoid of the proper emotion. I actually like this movie though and genuinely felt bad for his character because that has to be rough. I ended up buying this one, it's one of those ones that has like three scenes I really like so every so often I'll fire it up just to watch those scenes. This is one of the three. :)

Yeah, it happens. In the movie, It Could Happen to You, the lottery winner’s wife said!without a doubt we will split the winnings. Without her numbers, there wouldn’t be a winning ticket. He and the waitress had each picked half the numbers. They never left their spouses to be with each other. It is weird how movies based on true stories are twisted into romance.

People can shit on this movie all they want, but I love it sooo yeah.

If I’m not mistaken, Rachel and Channing are the only actors who had starred twice in Nicholas Sparks’ movies.

I did not find the ending satisfying. I would always question her loyalty to me and her having fallen in love with me in the first place as an authentic act. Memory should not make someone a completely different person. Does anyone else feel that way? I feel she would have to "win" Leo back with as much effort as he tried to keep his vow (in the movie not in real life). Lopsided love never works. I have been the only one in love in a marriage and it sucks. It takes two to make and keep a vow.

Personally I disagree and I feel like it's missing the point of her character. She chose to leave the marriage (before the ending of the movie obviously) *because* she was precisely not in love with him and didn't feel like it was fair to Leo to just string him along. In other words, she literally did the opposite of what you faced: which was both people still choosing to stay in the marriage when only one is actually in love. Memory *can* change a person and in her case, it was because the events following when she left her family and met Leo were all erased so staying with him was basically like being with a stranger (actually the movie explained all of this with all of the monologues so I'm confused on how you misunderstood all of this. Did you not watch the movie?). Plenty of people also fall out of love even with their memory intact. But anyway, it's weird to see all these critiques of her character when she went through a traumatic experience that most of us will never face and STILL was able to end up on the path back to Leo by the end of the film. I think y'all are projecting because your own relationships didn't work out

yeah, i didn’t like it either. i really thought he shouldn’t have taken her back. she treated him horribly and now that going back to her richy rich life fell flat she comes back to him as a backup.
