Julian is one of those rare musicians whose music doesn't get boring the older he gets. It has gotten weirder, but not boring.

John L he implements good sounds and catchy melodies with a foundation of thrash metal or mysterious and hard sounds. he heads to create a weird , wacky, or mostly odd and unordinary sounds or song that is catchy and sounds great to the ears

Yeeh, fucking right, friend.
The reason they are in the cave, is a reference to Plato's "Allegory of the cave" "Plato has Socrates describe a group of people who have lived chained to the wall of a cave all of their lives, facing a blank wall. The people watch shadows projected on the wall from objects passing in front of a fire behind them, and give names to these shadows. The shadows are the prisoners' reality. Socrates explains how the philosopher is like a prisoner who is freed from the cave and comes to understand that the shadows on the wall are not reality at all, for he can perceive the true form of reality rather than the manufactured reality that is the shadows seen by the prisoners. The inmates of this place do not even desire to leave their prison, for they know no better life. The prisoners manage to break their bonds one day, and discover that their reality was not what they thought it was. They discovered the sun, which Plato uses as an analogy for the fire that man cannot see behind. Like the fire that cast light on the walls of the cave, the human condition is forever bound to the impressions that are received through the senses. Even if these interpretations (or, in Kantian terminology, intuitions) are an absurd misrepresentation of reality, we cannot somehow break free from the bonds of our human condition - we cannot free ourselves from phenomenal state just as the prisoners could not free themselves from their chains. If, however, we were to miraculously escape our bondage, we would find a world that we could not understand - the sun is incomprehensible for someone who has never seen it. In other words, we would encounter another "realm," a place incomprehensible because, theoretically, it is the source of a higher reality than the one we have always known; it is the realm of pure Form, pure fact."

Listened to this song a week ago for the first time. Just like anything with Julian Casablancas in it, it sounds even better and i just added it to my playlist. Didn't realize he's in the actual band. I thought he was just in a few songs. Amazing band. Found out about The Strokes when i was little around 2000-2004 and I was about 8 or 9 and then in 2009 I heard about Arctic Monkeys who reference them a little and then in 2018 I hear Future.Present.Past for the first time at work while listening to Arctic Monkeys Tranquility Base Hote......that album on Spotify and I get sucked back into The Strokes and now in 2020 I learn about The Voidz and also The Strokes new album being out and them announcing another album wow just wow. Bravo boys. All of you.

I love that lyrical echo of "Truth is complex, lies are simple," the converse of which we hear in the track "Permanent High School."
i went to their record release show tonight the 30th of march, and even though the album leaked i hadn't heard alot of the deep cuts besides the singles released. Essa música uma das melhores desse novo trabalho do The Voidz!
Finally some production value!! I like those cheaply made videos but this is the shit!
The best underground song and album that I enjoyed since years! With a fuckin fantastic sence of old school music record "from the first to the last". But in the hole concept, in my opinion, what makes the difference is not the experimental sound generally but Jul's voice that can be stretched in any shape a give allways warm sence to the ears and to the soul, from the Dylan style to the hardest part of the album!.. and all of them meaningfull! Thank you guys! ❤️🙏
Ooooowww....Julian metal....muito bom cara! Obrigado!

It's so nice how the whole album makes cross references to itself! Each music has a verse of another
I love the message sm
julian casablancas: the baddest of badasses
Ya mañana sale esta belleza!!!
This is so good.
the 8 measure bit starting at 3:48 is the musical epitome of despair. the crying of the planet, or a crying for the planet? in any case, julian's art is always meticulously crafted
En estos tiempos necesitamos más canciones como estas, es una joya.
this song is so good, i feel like julian is talking about all the hidden things with the government and world

The video was evocative and paired nicely with the song. The song was amazing. Love JC and The Voidz.
Wow, They're killing it, this album goes so great!!
