I’ve got a poor, little, lonely, teeny, tiny grey squirrel right now, and her whole world is just sound and smell and touch, and I can’t describe it, but she really does like your voice. She’s more settled with certain narrators, and you’re one of them. I’ve named her Zola.

I like the long ones and the short ones, and love the voices, all of them, the fun character/comic ones, also the accents. They’re fun to do, and you’re good at it, and it’s great when people have fun with these. ❤️ You have such a cool, lighthearted feel about everything in these, even the very intellectual, deep, distressing topics, not that you’re flippant, but the perfect blend of empathetic, sensitive, yet chill. ❤

I love your random ramblings especially when it’s about dogs. I actually like the mix of longer and shorter videos, this channel is my favourite for listening to stories while doing chores and also when relaxing.
I've heard "You can please all of the people some of the time and some of the people all the time, but you cannot please all the people all of the time. That's just life. I'm always delighted with everything you do and actually enjoy hearing what you have to say after. You're a beautiful soul and I am very grateful to have your offerings to fill in my otherwise boring workaday life❤ Bless you Tony!

You keep telling your stories whatever way you want I love the long ones AND the short ones and I love the voices you do. I'm just thankful that you tell the kind of stories I love. (The woman talking about the locked drawer still creeps me out, tho, lol). And to those who just want to find fault~ the exit is that way.👉

Good story and the stories about your puppies are endearing, glad they are both doing so well!
Great story by a phenomenal author. No wonder H.P. Lovecraft admired him so. This is a masterpiece. I love the works by this author. I either forgot or did not know how he died until listening to your ramble (all of which I love). He was killed in the later stages of the German "Spring Offensive" in 1918. It was also known as the Kaiserschlacht or "Michael Offensive" (I did one of my papers at the War College on the revolution of tactics during that battle). Europe lost the flower of one, possibly two, generations on those fields. God rest their souls and may they rest in peace. Thanks for doing this for us, Tony! Excellent as always!! You are a master of your craft. Oh.....Do not worry about the naysayers. You are better at this than they ever could be. Your selection of works is perfect. Keep it up and do not stop. As my dad says, "Bury me face down so anyone who has a problem with me, or what i do, can kiss my a@#"

Thank You For Pronouncing Oregon Correctly. ❤ I've heard this story before but no one's narration can compare to your velvety, golden and magnificent voice. You are definitely the best when doing accents. ❤
Gosh that's terrifying 😱! That's a fate worse than death.
Great story! Great performance! Much appreciation Tony! 🙏❤️
After a long day yesterday, I fell asleep on my sofa, listening. And finished the story this morning. A great story, wonderfully narrated, as always. PS. I love all your work, do not worry about critics too much, please.

A very fitting story considering the current zeitgeist of cordiceps type fungi taking over humanity. Books like "The Girl with all the Gifts", (I recommend this one), and the series "The Last of Us".(Haven't watched this one though). I am chuffed to know that it's all been done before. Lovely to hear of your puppies. Have a lovely weekend.

Glad to hear that JSP ( Jasper Sore-Paw) is doing well now ☺ BTW I think a mixture of long and short tales is brilliant as we can choose according to time available to listen ☺❤🙏

I love your reading. You have a wonderful voice for reading and being a writer myself, I really appreciate your stories and the classical supernatural stories you read. I'm from the deep south in the US of A and anything I read sounds like Gone with the Wind instead of eerie ghost stories. Your comments at the end of the stories is always entertaining. Keep up the good work.

Someone on another channel I listen to was doing a book review and got into authors not often read or heard about anymore and mentioned this story. I read Lovecraft and knew of William Hope Hodgson but hadn't read this and searched and found this. I love to read but often listen to things while doing chores, etc , and I have subbed. I love animals, too.

This sounds interesting.
Don't waste your time if you don't like the content! But don't complain either! Because Most People listen because they like it! Instead of leaving a bad review find someone else to support! It's only happened to me a couple of times, but if I don't like the story for whatever reason I go fix supper or take the dog out. All the while the story plays on (adds too) Because I can't fund a patrion account rn I'll make my payment this way. By the way, you do know that dogs can have more than one name. My niece has a, her only, name for each dog she associates with & they know! Moms Dusky answered to BotchyBoo for her! And my DIL got 2 yorkies named Samson & Delilah But if my son called them they came to the names Tank & Diesel. Love your stories, Love your voice! I usually go to sleep with you telling me a story but the next day I have to listen again to catch what I missed (doubleview) Thank You💝‼️

The first and more faithful adaptation, under the title "Voice in the Night," was made as episode 1x24 of the television seriesSuspicion (1958).

I really enjoyed this story. I didn't realize it was set in the northern part of the Pacific until you mentioned it in the notes. I'm from California and the coast of the northern part of the state can be incredibly eerie, especially in the fog. I could imagine some alien fungi floating off the shore, just waiting for its next victim. As a seminary student, I have one distinction I would like to make about Christianity. I agree with your observations about the Christian church. The Church (all denominations taken together) has become more of a political institution. Christianity is not the Church. The Church is how we have twisted and morphed the teachings of Jesus to suit ourselves and further our own agendas. It's ironic that a basic message of Jesus is "not Rome's way; God's way", yet the church became empire. I love the people of the Church and love my denomination enough to pledge my life in service, but I do know that I am working in a flawed, human institution. It is a sad reality that the Church and the teachings of Christ are often so far apart. All right, off the soapbox now. Please keep us updated on the puppies! I'm happy to listen to ads when the revenue helps pay the vet bills. I've somehow missed learning what breed they are? Maybe that info is in a posting in my "listen later" file.

I take your point indeed. Pups have come back from seeing their mother and sisters and after crazing around all day are now exhausted and crashed out.
I had left a comment about how bad the smog was growing up in the Los Angeles area in the late sixties, early seventies, on another video. There were about a dozen replies to my remark and then today, someone left a remark of "quit lyin". Although curious as to how and why anyone would lie about something like that, I decided not to touch it. Some people will be negative about anything. A quality reading like this will attract more than the usual share of bottomfeeders.

I really enjoyed that story Tony thank you. I don’t think it was a good idea for the whole sea to be infected with the fungus but wondered whether the lagoon was contaminated because the old man was unable to catch any fish there. I’m not used to thinking of fungi as bad - really big on fungi in fact, but it was interesting to see bad fungus out of balance, and very creepy when the barely controllable desire to consume the fungus started. When the ld man rowed away with his spongy head nodding, it was a brilliant mixture of ghastly horror and desperate tragedy at the same time. I was brought up a Catholic and love certain aspects of religion (incense, beautiful music, works of Art etc but hate the way organised religion became enmeshed in pPolitical power and dodgy schemes for financial gain. The faith of the afflicted man was very moving though, I thought. Pups sound gorgeous!

Sadly we live in times where if you say something others do not agree with, they feel the need to tell you in a way that is usually less than pleasant. Coupled with the fact that some people are also unable to detach themselves from those differences, in the context of whats being offered for free that they could just click away from. A good example of this is people being unable to seperate the work of an author from an authors beliefs. Numerous times during your wrap up you have said something (usually followed by you saying "I've probably just lost followers for that": ;) that I haven't agreed with. But that doesn't stop me enjoying, listening, subscribing, and hitting the like on the content you produce. What you take your time to do here is free for our enjoyment, and I for one am extremely grateful for that, regardles of occasionally disagreeing with an outlook. if you ever said or did something I truly found offensive, I can always hit the thumbs down, unsubscribe and move on. That is more than enough... All that too say I do think you should block those unnecessarily negative comments and tell the stories you want to tell, for whateer reason you want to tell them (watch time or otherwise) in any way you want to tell them in any way you want too. This is whithout question one of the best audiobook channels out there, both in the reading and the information given afterward. Keep up the amazing work and at a time I could afford to support, I definitely will... occasional differences in opinion and all ;)

IMHO you shouldn't pay any attention to the comments....you are better served not to read them at all....dealing with the public is always difficult and people can be very strange .... 7% of the people make 90% of the complaints - ignore them. Do the stories that you like. If a story is interesting to you it will be interesting to most other people.
Is that a picture of prince Charles
