Craig Nicholls, underrated songwriter and performer. He didn't want to make this vid, didn't want to tour, but they ended up touring *heavily* after being hailed as the saviours of Rock out of nowhere, endless interviews and pages about Nicholls. I can see why. What a pure, fascinating person! Most of the time shy and lovely. Violent moments were due to horrendous stress imo. I have no clue how he made it through since such a life is poison when you deal with Asperger's. He lives very reclusive these days, without modern technology, but still making music.
Got to see em live in Newcastle supporting Powderfinger on their final tour. Craig made it thru the set without melting down. That in itself was amazing.
Haha their Letterman performance was legendary!

This song made me so excited for this band. Got their debut album. Uneven but enjoyable listen with some highlights. And then.. they did nothing. lol

Lead singer had some.... "issues" to put it mildly. He was diagnosed with Asperger's... and was prone to violent episodes. One resulting in an assault on his parents and an injured cop.

Shame the lead singer was an absolute nutcase that ruined half their live performances! They could have been huge!

Highly Evolved and Vision Valley are two albums you can put on and just let play. Few bands manage one album like that. Folks are sleeping on The Vines.
Ride or Outtatheway are sweet tunes from the vines also
There is a lot of nirvana about them
