Welcome to Timmins, Ontario. This small Ontarian town is home to nearly 42 000 people and is served by Timmins Victor M. Power Airport (YTS).
This regional airport is served by 4 main carriers (Air Canada, Air Creebec, Porter and Thunder airlines) and it is a base of operations for Ornge air Medevac.
The most interesting aircraft that fly out of YTS is Air Creebec Cargo’s Hawker Siddley and Government of Ontario Twin Otters.
This is my first time visiting a Northern Ontarian town and I really did have a good time. This was part of my flying on the last Jazz Classic Dash 8 trip. This was also my first trip of 2022!

The Dash 8 100. With C GAIS on.Gais is the name of a Swedish Icehokey team..
Nice to see an Avro 748. Oh sorry Hawker BAe or whatever they're calling themselves this week. When they first came out they were Avro. Until you look at the specs you don't realise that the 748 share the dimensions of the Lancaster with a wingspan of 102 feet and a length of 69 feet.

only prop planes go through there? short runways? I'd swear i was on a jet the few times i flew there ages ago.

Some Bombardier CRJ and DC9s used to fly here, now it’s mostly prop planes. Timmins is a small town lol
