(Lyrics):
[Verse 1]
'Cause it's a bitter sweet symphony that's life
Trying to make ends meet, you're a slave to money then you die
I'll take you down the only road I've ever been down
You know the one that takes you to the places
Where all the veins meet, yeah
[Chorus 1]
No change, I can change
I can change, I can change
But I'm here in my mould
I am here in my mould
But I'm a million different people from one day to the next
I can't change my mould
No, no, no, no, no, no, no
(Have you ever been down?)
[Verse 2]
Well I've never prayed, but tonight I'm on my knees, yeah
I need to hear some sounds that recognize the pain in me, yeah
I let the melody shine, let it cleanse my mind, I feel free now
But the airwaves are clean and there's nobody singing to me now
[Chorus 2]
No change, I can change
I can change, I can change
But I'm here in my mould
I am here in my mould
And I'm a million different people from one day to the next
I can't change my mould
No, no, no, no, no
Have you ever been down?
I can't change it you know, I can't change it
[Verse 3]
'Cause it's a bitter sweet symphony, that's life
Trying to make ends meet
Trying to find somebody, then you die
I'll take you down the only road I've ever been down
You know the one that takes you to the places
Where all the veins meet, yeah
[Chorus 3 + Outro]
You know I can change, I can change
I can change, I can change
But I'm here in my mould
I am here in my mould
And I'm a million different people from one day to the next
I can't change my mould, no, no, no, no, no
I can't change my mould, no, no, no, no, no
I can't change my mould, no, no, no, no, no
You've gotta change my mould, no, no, no
(It's just sex and violence, melody and silence)
(Gotta, can't change my violence, melody and silence)
(Gotta can't change my violence, melody and silence)
(I'll take you down the only road I've ever been down)
(Gotta, can't change my violence, melody and silence)
(I'll take you down the only road I've ever been down)
(Gotta, can't change my violence, melody and silence)
Been down
Ever been down
(Can't change my violence, melody and silence)
Ever been down
Ever been down
Ever been down
Have you ever been down?
Have you ever been down?
Have you ever been down?

'A slave to money then you die' realest word's I've ever heard
l just woke up this morning with the title of this song in my head, l have just sat here reading the lyrics and crying, so much pain over the last few years after my partner passed away in 2020, grief changes you, and the message l got from this song is you can't keep living for the past you have to embrace now and start to live again and love again, hugs to everyone that has lost a loved one ❤

This song (an instrumental version) was played at my friend's funeral in 2021 as her coffin was carried into the hearse to be cremated. I never cried so hard in my life as I wished I could have hugged her one last time. Now this song reminds me of said friend.

Notice how he says, "You're a slave to money than you die!" He isn't talking about himself. He is Illuminated and part of this group. He is telling us "good slaves" what our lives are all about. I saw Ashcroft in concert back in the early 2000s. The dude is not as short as they say. He is well over 6 foot (He wars long shirts and coats that go over his butt and always bends down when singing and or has props covering his true leg length). That is former NBA Player Kirk Hinrich wearing a big nosed facial prosthetic (Whatever Rothschild that is). Go look at the wives... Exact same people... Either way, great song, but these people singing it aren't our friends. They more or less rub these subliminal messages in our faces.

Just imagine as your last moments on earth pass. After the bitter sweet symphony that was life. All the pain, all the love, the hurt, the joy, the disappointment and the hope washes over you and rolls away. You hear this music slowly beginning and getting louder. You see the pearly gates and beyond them your lost loved ones, theyre smiling and nodding to the music. It reverberates through you and you realise it was always going to be ok in the end. You never know.

There are so many triggers. My cat Oreo went to join her in Dec 2021. My mom died in Dec 2018. She loved my mom. She looked for her for a long time. Behave Oreo.
Imagine walking the same path today on the street! So much has changed and it wouldn’t be possible so it’s a bitter sweet symphony that he was able to make his poin t as he walked free… our freedoms are disappearing as our world becomes a different religion
This song has made me stare in awe ever since 10th grade hearing it one morning the year it came out, on the radio in 1st period shop class. It was 98, and I felt like I had my entire life ahead of me, and when I hear it now at 40 it gives me the same feeling.

This songs cRaZy, it can bring out this weird good feeling inside that gives you this positive feeling somehow...🤔😉
This song is a melancholic tribute to the golden age of my existence.
Such a great song from the 90's. This song is a great memory from my childhood.
This reminds me of growing up in tempe in the 90s. I miss it very much. I had a great life, great friend that I miss, and a great family before my brother johnathan joined the military. The 90s were not perfect but it still was a wonderful time to grow up in.
Played this as I was leaving the Marine Corps (active duty) and heading to college, as a young man who barely made it thru high school, barely made it thru boot camp, and heading off to reinvent myself knowing life would be a series of more winging it as I was on an atypical journey for my goals. 25 years later, and realizing it is time to make new goals and journeys so I don't become stagnant. I am here in my mould, and I am the same man, but I can choose to avoid the rat race and traps he refers to.

This song is just…otherworldly. The lyrics have such meaning, the music…it’s a whole bunch of instruments that I would not have thought would sound good together yet somehow….they make this perfect song. It’s like the instruments just kinda dance around each other go in and out, twisting and twirling till they make this masterpiece
