I honestly love Micheal Trevino. He is so confident and has a mesmerizing effect when he talks. I hate how he doesn't get enough scenes and credit for his acting on the show. Loved his speech. And PS he is incredibly ridiculously handsome

The funniest thing is that Shaun White was there announcing that the nina won, and today they date

I think Paul is the better actor. Everyone is saying that ian has more range and facial expressions but they don't realize that is how is character is supposed to be and Paul's character was a more conservative character. Even as ripper stefan his emotions were crazy but over all neutral because of all the pain he was feeling for elena. Damon is just a free spirit on the show with a little compassion for elena while stefan is just a very sensitive thoughtful character.

Both men are great actors. Both displayed their characters well. Damons character however is versitile and emo and there were noone but Ian that gave a better performance. Also, Ian has a larger fan base it's not his fault

having a larger fan base doesn't mean he did any good acting. there were only a couple of episodes in the whole show where Ian did proper acting. but Paul was literally acting in every episode and as 4 characters.

paul is definitely the better actor between the two.

the thing is that Ian is more of attention seeker, thats why he gets more attention,,whereas paul does not seem to care abt too much attention, so is underrated.. but Paul is definitely the Best actor in the Vampire diaries.

You made me laugh saying that, also Ian is a great actor his character was so difficult,versitile and emo and I couldn't see anyone else playing him, you could even see it in the audition tapes where he gave the best performance. And as for Paul he is an amazing actor as well. But Ian fan base is bigger

SimmingHun Ian's a great actor as well.....I don't see anyone portraying Damon Salvatore as well as he did.... His character was much more complex and versatile imo which is harder to portray.

Hazel Amarie so all the others didn't had to portray any complex characteristics etc.? you're a hypocrite. Jeremey was a troubled drug kid in the beginning and as Gilbert, he was destined to be involved with Vampires and death that comes along etc., Tyler was this werewolf u know and that is so much more complex actually than what Ian ever had to portray, he was just the witty, funny bad guy that was heartbroken and which in no way was probably easy to play but not nearly as hard as the others. Lets not talk about Nina Dobrev and Paul Wesley, without them vampire diaries would be nothing. Paul is by far the best male (and that had a lot to do with him being committed and really hard working more so then the others) and Nina the female actress. and wheresas the main cast was somewhat imaginable by others actors/actresses, Paul/Nina/Ian are absolutely perfect choices for their roles, so what?

So cool that they all won their categories! They all definitely deserved it! I think Ian and Paul are both equally amazing actors, and they know how to deliver stellar performances. This was voted by the fans, and Ian won. To hate on Ian just because he won is ignorant, and to say that he's not a good actor is just rude. Ian deserved it, just like his fellow costars did for their categories. :) Love this show and the whole cast!
