It was Witherspoon for sure because they moved right away. I also think the Pats wanted Gibbs because they moved before 13 was even done back to 17.

Half our D-Line was hurt last year. The Lions don’t need much to compete and win. They have guys that can compete against all kinds of schemes now. Think the media is hurt more about the picks than anyone. Remember, if they don’t fit the culture we all desperately wanted here, they don’t get to play here!

Where we picked Brian Branch I am not even sad that we didn't get Witherspoon.....branch hits just as hard and in my opinion IS MORE RELIABLE.

They don’t even play the same position, dummy. Branch is a nickel CB/Safety with a bad 40 time. Witherspoon is a blue chip shut down #1 CB who didn’t give up 1 TD last season..

I loved the fact that the Lions stayed in the war room to win the udfa players and showed what they were trying to do for the entire weekend. Last year after the 1st week of the nfl cutting young players to make room for their draft picks the Lions grabbed enough guys to fill their roster. Remember the return specialist they found that we lost on the practice squad.

My brother and I both said, "Mother Fu****!" when Seattle took Witherspoon.

This draft was win now draft. It's is ok to have one like this sometime

I know Rico isn’t criticizing the 12th pick when his team (instead of spending the 12th pick) sent a 2,3,4 and a 5 to the panthers for cmc… we got him (according to comps) for a 1st

I been thinking that with alot of teams running a Vic Fangio style of defensive there is gonna be more of a emphasize on running the ball which is what his defense wants you to do. If that is the case I like the Gibbs pick.

He’ll play probably line up as a receiver 50% of the time so just expect that.

Exactly. We already addressed the premium positions. There are other aspects of a football team than just the edges. Are we just supposed to stack up on DL and OL and never have any talent? People like Rico are out to lunch.

I loved this draft. Anyone that didn’t like the Gibbs and laporta picks wait till you see them next year. They will be fan favorite. Gibbs will be our best rb/wr since Barry. Laporta will be better his rookie year than hockenson is now. Branch will be a stud. Hopefully Cambell ends up being the lb we’ve needed for years. We got a possible future qb in the 3rd that would’ve been a first round pick if he didn’t get injured. Greene reminds me of Marvin Jones. He’s a legit wr and will contribute to this offense. Also we killed it in udfa. I think 3-7 of those guys will make this team. I’m excited for this year. I truly believe we will win the north and meet the eagles for the nfc championship game this year.

Not sure if these guys follow alot of Detroit Lions football but they definitely dont seem like they do. Holmes knocked this draft out of the park! We didnt need to spend a high draft pick on DT. We have Buggs, McNeil and Comitsky who all played very well the 2nd half of the season. We needed to replace Swift and also a day 1 starter at LB. We did both perfectly.

Welp the lions drafted 3 guys that are future all pros and 2 of them will win NFC offensive and defensive rookie of the year! And Holmes and this draft was killed 🤣🤣🤣

I hope we pick up poona ford. He had a down season last year because Seattle switched to a 3-4. Poona perfectly fits into our 4-3 and would definitely be a positive contributor.

To me, it seems like the Lions wanted Witherspoon at 6. That’s why they traded down after he was taken.

The lions should've done whatever they had to to get Will Anderson Jr. He is a once in a lifetime defensive player.

LaPorta was a wasted pick, imo. I think that Wright and Zylstra earned starting chances. Wright won us the Jets game and Zylstra would've been the hero in Carolina had our defense not been a doormat.
