For me, the only exhaust I'd have on that bike is the Akrapovic with the tune that was developed by Ducati and Akrapovic

Man sorry this happened. Last 3 of my ducs including my v4 sl have been tuned by bren tuning. Had yrs of great results and support.

Im running the T800 upMap from Termignoni, it came with my full Titanium arrow slip on, which is a beast. I run the map with baffles in. No problems and the bike picked up 13WHP.

My dad is so jealous of u because he used to ride a rd350 and ur bikes just lites his heart up because he never rode a super bike in a long minute

I'm also very particular with my bike's idle, etc. I do prefer a steady/stable idle. I kinda noticed that tuner on that upload, you can sense that he'd be having difficulties with the tune. Just sad what happened with the ecu. But glad your bike's ok now. Very nice how you responded and handled it tho 🤙

Manufacturers spend so much time and money on engineering of maps and R&D for products so that the bikes run good from the factory. Getting a guy that has a dyno and a flash tuner does not mean the same thing. It is always a headache, and ultimately it results in a shorter service life and constant maintenance. Ducati is making strides to extend their service intervals already as it is.

I had the same problem with my Streetfighter v4. The engine was idling funny after we installed arrow exhaust with rexxer tune. I went back to the shop 10 times!! Same as you! Then I figured it out by my self. I put the db killer back and the issue is gone! I’m pretty sure that the tune was made it for db killer on. Now my bike runs great without issues. if I want to remove the db killer I probably need another tune

i couldn’t really see you getting upset you seem like a very nice and very genuine person.

Kay I think open the air filter oil filter cut oilfilter and see if anything is in it and check if there is a vacuum leak

The best thing to do is go to Bren tuning try asking 650ib i know it will get expensive but it will be worth since this bike is a V4R so yeah hope the bike ok

Yeah shoulda mentioned the tuner and put him on blast because there's gonna be riders in your area watching your video and end up going to the same tuner you went to without knowing who it is and they'll likely get their bike messed up too. Like Good or Bad a review is a review, don't feel bad for being honest and helping other riders avoid the tuner because that same tuner didn't care about you when you had to return more than 3+ times

You’re right, I just don’t want to affect someone’s career like that but if anything bad happens again because of the tune I’ll definitely inform everyone since currently the issue got resolved. He’s not bad, just very unprofessional.

I made the same mistake with my 1299… never tune a ducati at a shop that doesn’t have experience tuning your exact ducati. You got lucky, i had to pay for mine to be re-tuned by another more professional shop bcz they the first guy refused to refund me after failing. So i payed twice for 1 tune.

The idle fluctuate is normal to a certain extent, you need to try a different tuner there no reason u should be expecting these issues with a full tune. Sounds like they just flashed it and uploaded a existing tune instead of doing full tune. Look at doing the brentune thrre is a guy local there that can fix all ur issues and make more power

@@imKay when I first had my ducati tuned I used Rexxer and had these same issues, dealt with the sending back and forth for over a month he couldn't get it right. I finally got pissed qnd went and had it dyno tuned using tuneboy and never had a issue since. Happy as can be now

I would find a different tuner lol I wouldn’t have that guys tune on your bike. Even if you think it’s “fixed” I would toss it out and go with more reputable tunner. For all you know he just put it back on stock map to get you lost lol.

Can't really blame the tuner here, it's not like they are supposed to know EVERY SINGLE bike and variant, especially something this rare that might have never been in shop under his hand and they don't have a preset for it. The process is unfortunately experimenting, starting with the closest match.

What type of fuel do you use? Here in Europe these bikes run on 98octane from the gas stations. Even some fuel stations have 102 octane

where’s the clutch on that bike is it not manual i’m confused i didn’t see him pull any levers when the bike would shift (i’m still learning)

Glad the bike's running normal, but those "carbon fiber" stickers on the upper clamp and gas cap have got to go. TWM makes a nice Quick Action Carbon Fiber gas cap if you absolutely MUST have Carbon fiber there. CNC Racing makes an upper triple clamp with Carbon inlays for the V4 as well, if you absolutely MUST have Carbon fiber there too. Just a couple suggestions to help better execute the look I believe you were going after.

@@imKay I heard you said that at the end of the video but it's hard to believe that a better timing with the same fueling won't do just a bit better. Keep in mind that those disturbances at high rpm were also present when you did the dyno.

Get someone who can tune the factory ecu properly these things have so many maps in them that if you don’t get it right it’s never going to work. I watched my guy take 4 days on the first one of these actually tuning (not flashing) it
