    Imagine being just a state away from MI where an intractable pain patient is still labeled “criminal”, “addict” and essentially neglected by doctors for treating pain without opioids rather than a success story. With the opioid epidemic as well as the CDC force taper of opioids it’s very important patients are offered alternatives. Hoping to partner with the right folks to bring change for medical marijuana patients across America that need help like myself.

    I completely agree, watching until about 5 minutes so far as I type this. I myself have chronic pain and arthritis myself, which is terrible because I'm also a recovering opiod addict. Being a former smoker for years, but forced to take a break for a while... now I am a medical patient and love the pain relief benefits I get from it, RSO, TERP SAP AND CONCENTRATES!!! lol thank you for the information

    I recently had bilateral hip replacement and apart from a morphine block for the actual procedure, I had no opioids. My secret, cannabis oil. I was already a cannabis patient for chronic pain and depression. I got through the whole post operative process with Panadol, ice packs and cannabis oil, and it was very tolerable.....enough said. :)

    Very good for muscle pain and relaxation, my mom is in a very bad shape and takes so much medication and she uses a cannabis cream for back pain and she loves it, i have used some drops but it was high CBD and a little THC, and it helped a lot with anxiety and ADHD without needing antidepressants and ADHD medication.

    I’m assuming your oil is a high-THC. The process of making RSO usually destroys any beneficial terpenes that might have contributed to pain relief, so let’s stick to THC. I’ll try to keep it simple. THC signals will soothe the nociceptors, the tiny nerve endings causing the pain signals, so the affected area doesn’t hurt so much. THC also calls in specialized immune cells to help balance inflammatory response, so you’ll have less pain in the future. THC modulates the pain signals traveling to the brain, and it also softens the brain’s response to pain and the signals going out from the brain to the body that intensify the pain experience. So on many levels THC is helping your body respond less to the pain you’re feeling and working to help the body get back to a pain-free or pain-reduced balanced state. 💜 Cannabis does so much more than cover symptoms. 💜

  • @sweetsue4204

    @sweetsue4204

    Mitch, the anxiety from THC is very dose-dependent, and sometimes has as much to do with the terpenes involved as any cannabinoid action. Have you tried a balanced medicine with equal amounts of THC and CBD? That ratio is showing the greatest therapeutic benefit for chronic pain patients. You can start with doses way below 10mg of THC, to lessen the euphoric effect. Also, I know quite a few friends who’re using CBD-only medicines with significant relief, and that’s also dose-dependent. It often takes higher doses of CBD and sometimes a little time waiting for the body to catch up. CBD doesn’t always get you instant relief, but it’s behind the scenes making a difference anyway. Best of luck with your search for a pain-controlled life. 💕

    What are the risks of pharmaceuticals? All pain medications are addictive by form and use. What is use to numb for dentists? What is used as sedative? Operative? Local Anastasia? How do these get eliminated from the body? They do not… unless detoxification of the body… Is there bio accumulation of these? Where and in what form do these substances go in the body? How does the body re administer the substances? What form are the substances as the get re- administered? What is physically addicted? Why is there pain? If the original injury is healed what / why is there a need for continued use of a medication? What part of the body is actually using the drug? Cannabis ingested circulates and metabolizes differently? What is it that the components become and where do those components go? If smoked? What fills the lungs? If lung capacity test is done, how much is the reduction of volume? Since carbon monoxide is present in smoke, how does it factor into the equation? What are the changes in the body function? And why? What causes the pain? I have? What causes arthritis? No one can say ? Can you say for sure? Please consider causes. $$$ and control over the $$$ is ??? Which super country can say we understand this ourselves and not just say this is what the other country knows and we agree? Homework is needed? Truth is hard to find?

    You said the gave patients a low dose opiate combined with THC to achieve a similar pain relief effect similar to a stronger painkiller. How does this affect the brain? Would a doctor rather have a patient be under the effect of a lower dose opiate and thc or a stronger opiate?

    Tom, using fewer opioid molecules makes the brain’s job easier and reduces the stresses unwanted side effects add to the dilemma of pain management. Cannabis contains THC and CBD, among many other healing components. Both molecules signal cells to call in immune response to clean up the inflammation caused by and causing pain while soothing the pain signals. In the brain THC changes the extreme response to pain, so again, less stress for the brain to work with. There are no dilatory effects of THC on the brain. Your body makes a molecule so close to THC that the plant molecule can activate the same receptors. So it does what your own body would do if you had enough raw materials on hand to respond to that level. IMO, any doctor that would rather you stay on a high opioid dose when a lower dose with cannabis supplementation was doing an effective job of managing the pain is a doctor to leave behind in the dust.

    It’s physically impossible to become addicted to cannabis. As in anatomically, physically impossible. Phytocannabinoids do not activate the addictive response in the human brain, despite what the people making easy money pressing patients into treatment programs would have us believe. Cannabis dependency is another matter, and one easily corrected by adjusting the ratio of THC to CBD in the cannabis being consumed. But stop a minute and consider what they mean when they say, “cannabis dependency.” I always wonder what’s wrong with someone wanting to feel better? I suspect the people diagnosing this haven’t ever been high. 😄 In a society where too many citizens looking for cannabis are still forced into the black market what looks like dependency is really the reaction of having to go through so much shit and pay so much money adding to the problem, when all you wanted to do was leave the stress of your day behind you with a couple hits of Granddaddy Purple. For way too long, the big problem with cannabis was being caught with it. Someone “dependent” on cannabis is someone searching for a better mix of medicine, and not yet finding options that serve them well in our changing world. But times are changing.
