Unfortunately those of us who are not the ultra rich will not benefit from the technology. My fear is that this type of tech will keep people in power that shouldn't be. It will prevent the younger generations from being able to fill roles the elderly are holding onto. Have you seen the politicians running the USA right now? Idk where you are from but I am from the US. Our politicians have the nick name Americas most powerful nursing home. Both republicans and Democrats in power are getting too damn old, and I cant imagine them suddenly keeping power forever. Because if you don't think they will, trust me they will. @@ChrisAlbertH47 well, in principle it's medically not terribly far-fetched to imagine near future options to largely reverse, not just halt, aging. within limits of course - we will never be turning adults back into children. much of what we see are relatively clear biological changes that may plausibly be reversed, such as the fact that cell replacement in all tissues slows down, and the shortening of telomeres that causes errors in DNA replication. we largely already know which specific changes to biological processes to aim for, we just haven't worked out the methods yet.

Probably the most important thing is boosting NAD - a co-enzyme that declines with age and other stressors. It is boosted by takng the B-3 variant nicotinamide riboside (niagen, NR), which as the biggest molecule that can enter a cell then converts to NMN, annd finally the key factor in cellular energy and repair - NAD. You cannot get NMN or NAD to enter a cell.

everybody gets excessive criticism in youtube comments, don't take it too seriously and keep in mind that they come from people with very little information about you, so our judgement is pretty worthless. plus we all hate you because you're filthy rich, that's a given and deserved. ;) based on the video, what does seem a bit silly is your claim that you're doing it for the good of humanity. it looks more like a personal fitness project. especially because as one person on an individual regimen, rather than a proper scientific trial with many participants, it's almost impossible for you to actually gather data (any effects would need to be very drastic to be obvious, and would not be attributable to any one thing or portion of the things you do). also my personal intuition is that you probably are working out too hard and keeping your body fat too low to really be optimised for health and longevity - it looks like you are largely focused on looking good today, and straining your body a bit excessively in the process. anyways, there are worse ways to live your life. have a good one!

Well my father, without any special whatever, and spending a lot of time outdoors in the sun and getting browner (he's Asian so he tans easily) always looked far younger than his age at 40, at 50, at 60, at 70. He kept a solid hairline and full head of hair, and very little gray until his 50s really and even then the gray increased slowly - far less than you'd expect for his age. Also in his face, very few wrinkles and just in general, always looked a lot younger and people would constantly be very surprised and shocked by his age. It's genetic - same goes for his siblings, but he has it to the greatest degree. They all seemed to suffer the face sagging thing more than wrinkling, but his face held up better than theirs. I think genetics are the most significant factor. Unfortunately I only inherited a smaller degree pf my father's genetics in that regard. But I've often been mistaken for years - 10, 15 yrs younger although gradually as you age the perceived gap seems to narrow.

Yes it's fascinating and I hope if anything it leads to more knowledge of how our bodies function and how to help/heal ailments, disease and disorders rather than make us live forever. If we live forever then population control becomes an even bigger issue than it already is.

If a scientific breakthrough in the field of aging is a couple decades away and you want to live until that point, you can sacrifice a few decades for more decades or even a few centuries. I don't think this is only relevant for elderly people, there are people who die of heart attacks in their 20s, or suddenly die of a heart attack at the age of 50 despite not showing any symptoms whatsoever prior to it, simply due to plaque buildup in your heart valve. Even if you don't apply 100% of this guy's lifestyle to your lifestyle, you can prevent that sort of unexpected event from happening (that is, an unexpected event that's in your control (though it's questionable how much in control we are of anything), not a bus crash or extinction event). This is actually exactly why people like this person are doing this. But as I said even if you're not trying to do what he is doing and you just want to have a healthy lifestyle to function properly and enjoy a better life in the short timespan that you're on this planet, you can still adopt 20% of this regime.
