Awesome video, finally a great explanation to the Ur-Dragon. More such videos on Dragons Dogma content would be amazing. I know a lot was already done, but your video quality is far above most.

Sadly we are probably not going to do more on Dragons Dogma. Now I still play the game and there is a ton more to talk about but me and Westley have decided to move on to other titles. We are probably going to cover Insurgency Sand Storm next and even Mech Warrior. I am so glad you enjoyed the video and that the amount of time and effort into editing was noticed. I really really hate how the whole ur dragon thing. i wish it was more doable as a melee only character. I loathe the whole grace mechanic, it's not user friendly at all

I feel you. Understand that this fight has no rewards that are better than BBI Level 3 gear and can be avoided. Also there are no achievements for it. I have been playing this game for over 5 years and it was only once I understood it that I worked for it Dailey. Even then luck had a big part in catching it during grace. If it's getting frustrating I recommend joining a group that will alert you when it's in its grace period if you really want to kill it. Otherwise this is a very skipable enemy.

Oh thanks! When I face the ur-dragon, I just spammed millions of burst arrows. Lol

And he'll that will probably work. But know you know alot more to better your chances and not waste arrows since you know the online version has a damage cap.

Great video! I finished my first play-through at level 55. Should I even bother attempting the Ur-Dragon before hitting max level? I tried a few times, got one-shotted and figured it was a hopeless cause. 🤣

So you probably fought the "online" version. Turn the game to offline first. Thos video will explain why. The wings can be challenging. Normally I suggest around level 70 to start farming the offline version but I would at least give it a few tries yourself. No harm in trying. Around level 100 it should be no problem (depending on you and the pawns with you vocations).

Mine didn't drop loot I've heard it drops a holy weapon? I killed it when it was up on the ledge with arrows though is that why?

So it will often drop holy items when killed using the "offline" mode. At the same location the 20 wake stone hearts appear. The really nice online loot will drop when you manage to kill it during its online grace period. At the same location I described. Where the 20 wake stone hearts are. Loot will not drop at the dead UR dragon like a common enemy. When you go to leave it will be located by the door.

Are the drops from Ur at least on par with BBI lvl 3?

Not even a little bit, lol. BBI came out after and raised the level cap from 100 to 200. But the weapons are super rare to see now.

First, you have to kill Girgori. The dragon who stole your heart. Then you will have the UR-DRAGON stone T the beach in Cassidis as shown, or the everfall as shown.

I have ignored this boss as I find the critical point only mechanic incredibly annoying with monsters that large moving so quickly. But steam achievement wants me to kill it at least once. Guess we're dusting off our old revenant wail then.

It's very viable for wake stone farming in its offline form. Online is only good for bragging rights. I hope this video helps you in your goals.

Only some of the weapons are available offline. Check the wiki.

Does offline - ur dragon come back with the same damage I caused on him after he flee ? And when? he always escapes before I get to kill him lol

For the offline version (last I played) the dragon would flee and when I left and returned he would have the same health I left him at "if" the in game day had not ended.

Okay I'm scared of messing this up so I'm on my first game through after i killed that dragon this city got engulfed in Lawd knows what so i been diving into this Bottomless pit now my question is should i speak to the king and then go back into the hole or just grind that ur dragon until i got what i came for then start a Game + ?

If you are at or near level 100, then the everfall is just wasting your time. Go ahead and turn in your 20 wakestone hearts and start bitterblack isle after you turn on hard mode on your new Game plus.

A lot, I would imagine.

Been trying to follow the Ur-Dragon, he says his spiel then flies off. he seems never to return. I was trying to fight the online dragon. As someone else already mentioned it doesn't look like the Ur-Dragon's gear is even as good as the gear you get from Daimon in BBI. But thanks for the breakdown if the jerk ever fights me, at least now i'll understand why i can't kill him.

I highly recommend using the UR-DRAGON notice websites that let you know he is in his death phase. Then, long on and quickly kill him. It's still really hard to do, FYI. But he will have nearly all his health but will be noticeably easier to damage. Still, come prepared

Because I download moded save , that give me 100k ATC ,but in the onlin every time I finsh 5 par from dragon health and 8 mint finish and when he go I start from the beginning

So the online and offline are two different versions. So think of the online UR-DRAGON like a completely different creature. I am not familiar with mods but if you are not online I would "assume" no online rewards would drop.

Also, there is a built in fail safe to the online version. If you exceed a damage value the fight will not count (I go over that in the video) so that might be causing an issue.

ddda.lennardf1989.com/Home/XboxOne use this site to keep track of the UR Dragon health. When it is near death keep on the grind. At some point you will enter the online UR-Dragons and suddenly it will have near all of it's hearts back. This is the "killable" version. Make sure you are absolutely loaded with stamina healing and parriapts. Even at level 200 this beast will be hard to drop. Don't worry if it flies away. You have between 45 minutes to an hour to kill it (grace period). I am on Xbox but I wont slug away at this either. I'll waiti till it gets low enough from the community and follow the outlined steps. I hope this helps.

Hi, apologies for late reply. I don't believe it's impossible to reach the damage cap by yourself even with maxed out stats and maxed out gears. The offline ur dragon has 1.4 million hp which can easily be defeated considering that death has even greater health pool than this. you are perfectly safe.

Yeah, the UR Dragon Online drops are hard. That's why I made the guide. Best bet is to find a tracking app or group to monitor health and jump on for a kill when everyone else does.

The best way is to follow a website that will let you know when it's low on health so you can quickly jump on for an easy UR-Dragon kill. That's how I do it.

If you are fighting the offline version. Usually the hearts that are missed are on the wings, back, or additional ones in the face. If facing the online version. The grace period might be starting soon. Where suddenly it seems it has 13 hearts.

Go rest at an inn. To make sure it works, rest 4x. This will also reset loot boxes.

Its possibile to kill him only great sword on lvl 200 ? XD i have best weapons lvl3 from bittle isle and only Ur dragon left

Sorry I am late to reply. So the Offline version is very easy to kill so most level 200s with BBI Lv3 gear will be able to farm very easily. Now the online version... You can do it but those wings will be frustrating. Even during his grace period at .1% of his base health is a monster to attack. So I would bring some Ranger or soccer pawns for those wings. Keep in mind that grace period does last long so time is not on your side. Good luck Arisen and please report back. We all want to know how it went AND if you need any help ;)

Like listing that it takes holy damage, or show the hearts on the body to strike using a map, or tell you the damage cap of the dragon? Yeah, all that's in there.

Now if the issue is I didn't "show" me kill the online version, that reasoning it two fold. 1) That wouldn't provide any information not already provided. More like just bragging right to show my 5th defeat of the Online version. 2) for the two months it took me to get all the footage the Online version was always killed while I was at work. Now, if seeing the Online "grace period" is super important you can look for a video showing it but I don't know what the value of that would be but maybe there is value in it I just don't see because I've killed this thing a lot. OR, you can follow the UR dragon tracking site for your given system and just jump online yourself to see it. I do mention that this will be a hard fight. But remember there is a reason I did these videos in the order I did. Beginner's Guide. END Game, THEN UR-DRAGON. It's a bonus enemy that can be avoided. If you are attacking in the grace period make sure your stacked out with stamina items, and power ups.
