The Updated 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 | It’s Refreshed But Is It Enough? | Full Vehicle Overview
The entire Chevrolet Silverado lineup is refreshed for 2022, and we got our hands on the off-road-focused Silverado 1500 ZR2 to see how the truck compares overall to the previous model. The biggest difference in the latest Silverados is the redone interior, which is leagues above the old model’s. The 2022 cabin features upgraded technology, better materials and even a fully digital gauge cluster, among other improvements. We also put the 2022 Chevy Silverado 1500 ZR2 to the test at our track to see how it stacks up against its competitors - and, yes, we do know that no one will be tracking a vehicle like this, but the numbers are still important! Curious to know more? Head to the video above and let Edmunds’ Ryan ZumMallen tell you all about it!

I had a '99 Silverado 4x4 with the 4.3L V6. I put 400k miles on it, it was nearly bullet-proof. A great truck.
Your take that the ZR2 isn’t as capable off road as the Raptor or TRX, two trucks it was never intended to compete with, is still glaringly idiotic months later. It was never intended to compete, or even compare with either. It was supposed to compare to the Tremor and Tundra TRD Pro. The fact that GM let you, and any other journalist run with that narrative was a blunder on their part, and hack reporting on yours.

You’re apparently ok with combing your hair with a pork chop, too. It’s called shampoo, give it a try.
Tough to get used to a turbo 4 no matter the numbers. That 4.3 V6 was a great engine. Interior looks sharp in your demo. Nice summary.

The cylinder deactivation in the V6 is garbage. It feels like a moderate earthquake is happening.

@@androiduberalles my son has a 2014 that is seamless. 150k miles and mechanically a great truck.
Chevy trucks are always the best😎
not even a chevy man, but I have to rank the zr2 number one ! you have everything in one package
Ill get the custom trail boss anything after that is too much!
I love these V8s
Yep we need those American muscle😤
That’s the spirit😁😁
They need to fix all the engine issues first.🙄GM never fails
Where is the gear tunnel? 😉
Old is better then new
The interior of the Silverado feels more like a car than a truck. I like the strength of the F-150 interior more than this Silverado. It lacks the personality of the Ford or the RAM and feels like corporate GM interior number 004.
Sigh... Edmunds. Always damning with faint praise.
That piano black is just too much on the interior. 🤮
You couldn’t PAY me to get a Super Cruise. I refuse to have a court case, because MY truck decided to drive into somebody, all by itself.. 😒🤦♂️
RAM CHEVY FORD
I have a 2022 Chevy Silverado it’s a $44,000 piece of shit
Ford...there are no others
