Ok...Ok... We all know Enoch is a fun figure to unravel, especially with fallen Gods/angels taking mortal women & teaching them the forbidden divine arts. With Nephilim & Giants as offspring, the giants start consuming humans once they run out of sacrifices/food from mankind. God doesn't play games with these watchers after what they did... even after the fallen watchers begged for forgiveness, only eternal punishment is suitable for their deeds!

Outstanding Derek! You have done it again! I have always thought of the Book of Enoch as the "Star Wars Trilogy" of just before the Pre-Maccabees Era depth psychology. The ultimate ancient hit Hollywood Film! George Lucas would have been in good company! But it gets even better if you start to analyze both it and George Lucas on the Jungian level. You are on your game! The new Edward F. Edinger in ancient Myth Vision dot connection. Keep up the great work! I also always go back to Hesiod in 750 B.C.E. in any analysis of all Jungian Cosmologies.

I wonder about the whole angels thing. If we believe that lucifer and one third of angels were cast out of heaven becoming satan and demons, after which god took away angels free will. How would the watchers being angels have been able to decide to do this? Any thoughts?

Exactly. I think with most(or all) religions, things started one way and then were twisted to become something else, especially in the long term. The source of most or all religions seems to be ideas explained through stories, analogies, related influences, etc... What at least some of these institutions have become in society is way past that and deep into some literal reading of some parts. Like believing in a ruling God or Lord, as opposed to a reminder to the common people to kneel down 'every sunday', or more, to the Lords under the kings. While loosely using other parts, but out of context... and more. It's a mess. Even young 'religions' like Scientology seem to be very corrupted and very far from where it started and seemed to be in the 50 and maybe early 60s. Anything past early 60s seems sketchy. The leader was sick, maybe kept sick, while other people were modifying 'his' operation and pretending it was his orders. It seems it might be possible his body was kept 'alive' artificially for years, while other people were giving orders, changing rules and stuff, and pretending it was the official leader's decision. After his official death, they changed the perception of almost everything, camouflaged the good stuff, and added bad stuff. Imagine old religions like Christianity. How corrupted can it be ? Some people use religion as a lie to themselves and to society, to calm their fears of existence and society's fears. Some people use that as a lie to society, but not themselves. Yes, some people are like that. This perpetrates a lie in society, which keeps society from possible truths, and possibly helpful truths, while pushing people into obedience and 'sheep behavior' through the repetition of hearing stories about obedience to lords and humility to a fault, and refusal of any idea that does not come from their own religion, to a fault, and giving the other cheek to a fault... and more. Which is not helping. Truth truly is important. And, in democracies, we don't need our people to be enslaved through lies, we need our people to be freed by a decent minimizing of lies(absence of lies in society, as reasonably and humanly possible), so that truth and 'new truths' can emerge more. But. There's an expression about flushing babies. I think you're right about digging. Most of this spiritual/religious stuff was corrupted over time. As it began, it was probably more decent. Or at least, how the source began. Like stories, theatre shows, teaching material, etc... Also, 'as it began', being relative, it might have began with good intentions and some good aspects as an outcome, but also mistakes(we all make mistakes) and omissions pushing for negative outcomes in addition of positive outcomes, when used in the long term. At some point, society changed, we don't remember what was obvious to people back then, and so missing in the story today. And more. Over time, we need to realize that these institutions hold some important ideas. Balance. We shouldn't flush the babies with the bathwater, but we shouldnt solidify whatever we have now, to the detriment of development of... what we have now. At least for the christian religion, because I understand it better than most other religions, I really think it needs to stop being taught as a literal story of humanity's past, and start being rightfully taught as a pack of fables and stories meant to teach/develop ideas taught to be important for society. And probably weed out some obedience stuff, including the idea of an all powerful ruling God, at least in countries going for democracy. I think. We have issues. Society needs some rightful transformations, in other words, a rightful revolution, and if authorities won't cooperate... maybe we need rightful Rebellion and rightful Revolution if still can after a major rebellion.... Right now, rightful revolution is not happening, and decent rebellion is fairly small. Loose and new Rebellion is everywhere, but inexperienced and used against itself by master manipulators. So, yea. We have issues. Especially in democracies, truth in society at large will save us. If we let it happen. If we help it happen.

From the early church fathers and apologists like Justin Martyr through Augustine, Aquinas, the Protestant reformers until today. Damn skippy! As someone who has attended church in the not so distant past, on an almost daily basis, while in adulthood I rarely visit a solid building under religious pretext. My beliefs and therefore my sentiments have morphed into the belief that there is truth to a lot of mythology. I for one, am definitely interested in all texts, translations, and even interpretation of the old stories of our beloved planet/mothership from days of old. If this needs translation, my answer is "hell yes", the more knowledge we have, equates to ammunition against ignorance

I'm not saying that you're not right for keeping the Bible but these Scriptures were once part of the Biblical canon. It lays out who we are as Americans, as Israelites. The only reason I stress this is because I too felt the same way that you feel. I love God and His Son and I fear Him so I was afraid of being led astray or being deceived but I prayed about it many times before I read them. I realized that the Bible says that Enoch was a righteous man and that he prophesied. That made me feel better about reading it. When I read 1st Enoch, I realized that I'd already been deceived, just like almost everyone that I know. All that I can do is tell everyone about my experience and pray that they listen and pray about it also. I'm not saying that you don't understand the Bible but you might be like me. I thought that the way that I understood it was correct but it wasn't. You may have a proper understanding of the Bible, idk. Time will tell. God bless you!

Enoch is writing about these watchers., but the video is crossing between Greek Mythology and Roman mythology (pagan) of these events.. honestly, just open the Bible and start reading., it’s a bloody good story and understanding will follow.. you can even get audible bibles through the AP store now where you can just Listen if you are not a big reader., don’t be overwhelmed.. we are all learning at our own levels., ❤🐨👍🏻🇦🇺

I'm amazed at how well Daniel and Revelation fit into the Enochian narrative. Hebrews also has major Essene influence (I think it was written to an Essene audience). But really, this stuff percolates the entire New Testament. Jesus' words in Luke 20:34-36 seem to imply theosis as the resurrected, “born again” saints inherit the roles of the disgraced watchers.

If you'd finished the sentence, how to interpret it would be obvious. "And Enoch walked with God, and was no more, for God took him." And since in other scriptures, they refer to Enoch returning the way they do,if gives us the impression that he left in a charot/craft/ship, rather than dying, and he's one of the ones who did not taste death, that suppose to return. Some believe that Enoch upon leaving earth, became the Archangel Metatron, the one that's over the Accoshic record,or the record of everything in all our lives and more. The Grand Library. And things can only keep looking nervous for them with every new find of a pre-bible time period for established civilisations. As some commentators struggle to fit all of the pieces together into a meaningful narrative that can account for new facts and/or discoveries it would be wonderful to get the opinions from knowledgeable and familiar faces together in time so as to give us a clear and defined baseline to step off from as the earth gives up it's secrets. Once again, MVP has produced a documentary that is more of a motivation to further study than the rigid historicism that afflicts much of academic study... congratulations! Here's another fact that relates Hesiodic poetry to the Enoch material: In Works and Days, the poet names the spirits of the Golden Age mortals as the "Martyroi", which translates to the Watchers. or the Witnesses. This is because these spirits roam the earth hidden in mist observing the deeds of the living. Also, in Hesiod, Mekone can be translated as "Poppyland" as the name refers to the opium poppy, which suggests a connection between an ecstatic journey and the apprehension of the myth 's sacred past. There are indeed many points of contact between Genesis and the Hesiodic material!

The burning serpents or Seraphim likely were also a title I think for certain members of the people of the Snake. If you really want to deep dive into them check out the oldest carving in the world in Botswana the serpent god. I think it's supposed to be carved about 70,000 years ago around the time of the Toba eruption that caused a genetic bottleneck for humans. About 40,000 years ago they spread out of Botswana and introduced their DNA to every human then. Sounds like they conquered the planet. But it is out of those people of the snake that so many of our legends and stories are from. Nisroch I personally think is the Quetzalcoatl "feathered serpent" that Edgar Cayce talks about building the Great Pyramid.

@mythvisionpodcast I’m a graduate of The Rabbinical College Of America, an orthodox Jewish university. The book of Enoch contradicts so much of modern Jewish thought & Jewish mysticism. However, your documentary was pretty good. I do believe that my ancestors during the 2nd Temple era did accept this stuff; at least the Qumran sect. But again, Pharasaic tradition & the sage Rashi simply translates “Bnei Elokim” in Gen 6:2 as “the sons of the Rulers” (the rulers & judges of the time became incredibly corrupt (just like the story of Sodom). They even forced newly weds to bring their brides to them to have sex w them before their husbands; as an abuse of their power. Nephillim are mentioned again (after the flood) in the story of the Spies in Bamidbar (Numbers 13:33). In every kind of orthodox Judaism, malachim (angels) do not have free will. They each have only 1 job to do. (Messengers is a proper translation vs angels). They cannot disobey. In Esoteric Judaism; Hashem (the infinite light) is the only being with true existence. We are but akin to sun light away from the sun. Inside the sun, sunlight is nullified in its source - it’s just a ball of fire. But away from its source, it can have an existence. This is the function of the name Elokim. “A sun & a shield is YHVK Elokim” Elokim is the name used in creation “Breishit bara Elokim” etc. Creation is like a computer code. Hashem’s “speech” is just executing the code. It is done through the name Elokim & the “Seder Histalshlut” or the order of the contractions or concealments of the name YHVK. (See the 10 Sefirot). So this apocalyptical doctrine may have been floating around among sects such as the Qumran sect & Essenes; but I do not think this was accepted among the Pharisees; tho it could’ve bled into their thinking of the day. I also disagree that the Torah was different. Even among the Qumran sect, tefillin were found just as we do it today (leather phylacteries with small scrolls with Torah passages put into the boxes with leather straps to bind them. 1 for the hand and another for the head lined up in the middle, between the eyes, but up above the hairline. That one has 4 scrolls in it. It amazed me that the ones found in Qumran are basically the same used by Jews today. But this is from the 5 Books of Moses. So the books of Enoch definitely do not fit into todays Judaism. It’s no wonder it was not made Canon, as it is definitely heretical. Also Tzadokim (Saducees) definitely would not have believed in the book of Enoch, nor anything outside of the 5 Books of Moses. They did not even believe in the Oral Law, nor any of the Rabbinical traditions & such of the Pharisees. They did not believe an afterlife, angels, demons, or even a Messiah. They also did not believe in having a hot meal from a pre-lit oven on Shabbat. (& cooked before Shabbat.. like the use of a slow cooker back then). Where orthodox Jews eat a hot meal Friday nights & a slow simmered stew on Shabbat day lunch. They just did & still do it in ovens lit before sundown on Friday& the meal has to be at least over half cooked already. The same goes for lighting Shabbat candles before the start of Shabbat. So one may see in the dark etc. The Tzadokim (Saduccees) did not accept any of these things and therefore were considered heretics by the Pharisees. But in the 2nd Temple era, they still managed to blend in enough with Pharisees to sneak in positions as the High Priest & such. But my point is they were learned in Torah as we know it today & only accepted it, nothing else. I did think your video was cool though… but I can’t stress enough how disapproving the Rabbis are of the book of Enoch. And their tradition started being written down after the destruction in 70 CE. But before that Rabbi Hillel’s tradition was accepted & he did not accept Enoch either.

This is difficult to put into words my real thoughts . As someone who considered himself agnostic as how could i know the truth ? Life started changing within me some years ago but i really didnt know what was happening. At the same time i found myself eager to learn the truth of life and able to see things i never saw before. Then suddenly i started to remember things about me ( the soul ) from previus lives. At the same time ' information ' given to my mind without me learning. I was given the name Enoch for me then to go and research. Its a Gnosis knowledge. The truth is that its a spiritual journey for each given freewill to see and learn. Im even prpared to say this moment in what we call time will be Biblical. Past- Present-Future. Real eyes - Realise - Real Lies. Poor are those who have eyes but can not see. To understand today one must understand history. Those who are able to see beyond the shadows and lies of their culture will never be understood let alone believed by the masses. ( Plato ) 💜

The Nephilim are the Nethinim were the assistants in the ancient Jewish temple in Jerusalem. The word "Nethinim" literally means "given ones" or "subjects". The term is first used in the Book of Joshua to describe the Gibeonites. It's just the time of Enoch vs the time of Joshua they use a different pronunciation or spelling. It's basically speaking about the Royalty had children with women from other nations and it made them the royalty of those nations which grew larger than anything Enoch ever seen, which is why Enoch says that they are Giant's, referring to the nation that came from the Nethinim (Nephilim).

Yes in the Rashi on Gen 6:2 it is talking about the nobles & judges (but that’s the “Bnei Elokim”) However, he comments on the word “Nephillim” perhaps because they caused the world to fall. Again; Rashi & the Talmudic sages before him that developed Jewish religious thought; simply don’t believe this mythology. They don’t even find good use for it allegorically. It’s actually heretical & for great reason. All the horrible things in xtianity & such religions seem to be linked to this book. It’s fun for mythology & that’s it. It’s sad for religion though

True but just not in the way the Bible makes it out to be. Many scriptures are a remixed retelling about primordial traditions that took place before the Bible. The only thing biblical scribes did was take primordial stories, renamed the characters then restructured the narrative. Then there’s portions that indeed occurred during those specific biblical times that the Bible says it did. Overall the Bible is a mixed compilation of various events and only a studious person can distinguish it. Fundamentalist take it all for face value.

Perhaps he was here to warn us that we were due to be wiped out if we need not change course and to show us God's mercy and love for us regardless of our sins. I would say I hope we dont get another prophet soon as it feels like a false prophet is coming. Earth has once again become wicked and with the ability to use nuclear weapons I believe the watchers may be back. This latter Enoch was the man who walked with God and was translated, who did not die (Heb. 11:5). Meta. Entrance into and instruction in a new state of thought, of understanding. In the case of the Enoch who walked with God, the new state of thought would be spiritual consciousness, the new life in Christ. In this case the rising of the sea level that flooded all the coastal populations about 12,000 years ago. The story you know and I know as Noah was instead the story of Ziusudra. When the gods decided to destroy humanity, Enki also called Ea, did not agree and warned Ziusudra and told him to build a boat. The Story was already myth by the time the Noah was born. The Hebrews learned the story from the Babylonians and made it part of their own history. Probably because its a story of Judgement, and salvation from that judgement. People do this all the time. Make other peoples stories their own. I remember how disappointed I was that The fairy tales I grew up with were not American. But instead German, English, French and Russian. These are all myths. There is good and bad threads in all three religions (judaism, christianity and islam) and the ancient Egyptian beliefs aren't perfect or the whole truth as far as I'm concerned but you can definitely see where the foundations of the abrahamic beliefs came from. Not sure why people don't talk about this and continue to debate the abrahamic beliefs as if they're origin stories when they came AFTER kemet and you can CLEARLY see the similarities to the beliefs they are based on.....

Anyone ever wonder about the Enochian language (language of the angels)!? Or what about the third eye ( that once its ‘open’ one can literally SEE the spiritual realm?🤔 ) Think I prefer to keep my third eye shut wide open…. I believe God didnt design us to live by SIGHT, but only by faith. My ‘faith’ might not fit another’s script.. However I do believe we ALL should just LOVE one another as ourselves After all We are ALL stuck in this EVIL place and in order to overcome evil, the greatest strength comes in numbers… I appreciate/respect the diversity of our peoples (and their beliefs/faith) However I will NEVER abandon MY faith and The Most High God whom I believe in .. If I’m wrong, then I’ll still die happy and content knowing I lived and died believing in the GOODNESS OF GOD and loving ( not hurting ) my fellow humans
