When I was a kid (growing up in foster homes) Shalamar and a host of other Disco Funk artist shined a little ray of light in my life. I'm not sure how my life would have been without them. In between the bad, these artists bring back a lot of good memories. Today's kids don't know what they're missing. Thanks for posting this video!

Ms Jody is a Queen full package singer, songwriter, producer, style icon who came into her own after she left Shalamar decades ago this is a limited view of her range over 40 years solo. Ms. Watley continues to excel and has many accomplishments accolades since leaving Shalamar in 1983. She’s still putting out bangers

Jody Watley is the biggest star to emerge from Shalamar decades ago she won a Best New Artist Grammy only the third African American Black person in that shows history, yall left that out. You don’t see these click bait headlines for Howard Hewett, Jeffrey Daniel, Gerald Brown, Micki Free, Delisa Davis or any current or former Shalamar member to reach a pinnacle of that magnitude even though she has never been an industry politics black fan favorite. Let that Black Queen live her story is bigger than Shalamar
