Wow that Yellow Air max he mentioned was to futuristic, is SPOT ON. That shoe looks like an air max that would come out today and it was designed in 86’ - so crazy to me this dude Tinker is a genius!

I actually own a pair of those when they first drop in 86 or 87 I was a little kid I saved my little money and brought them by myself it was my favorite sneaker and still is alongside the Nike air revolution I thought 💭 I would be able to jump higher… that shoe is what made Nike the future number one brand. I would like to get a pair but unfortunately ever time this color way drops the Sneakers app won’t never allow me to purchase anything 😩 like this

Is that the original Big Bubble PSI? Every I look at shoes it JD Sports, I swear all the bubbles air super low PSI!

LOW psi for "leisure/lifestyle" walking, the air max 95-98 would state 20/25 psi and back then you could run in those, sea level psi is 14+
Just curious, i get that these are modelled after the original design, but are the ones that released to the public back in 1987 with the big bubble as well or closer to the 2017 joints?

Both released to the public in 1987. From what I understand, it was very brief for the big bubbles due to durability issues. The big bubbles were pulled from shelves and replaced with the revised model with smaller air windows.

Big respect to Tinker Hatfield for his designs and creations. Do have to say to Nike they need to fix/update the midsole on their small air bubble Air Max 1, it's hard and uncomfortable when worn for long hours. Be a good idea to slowly phase out the small air bubble unit and make the '86 OG big bubble the mainstay.

Mr. Hatfield is one of the biggest innovator/designers of our century. Love these which came out on my 15th birthday but never had a pair. My favorite Tinker creation is the Air Trainer which I finally snagged this year and has thankfully been much easier to get hold of.Might take a shot at these big bubbles but will probably not make the effort and save my money and energy for the MacAttack which a 14-year-old me had two pair of and wore into the ground. Thanks for this.

Nike just haven't nailed it and done Air Max justice since the 95 was released (greatest shoe ever)......Nike please re-release the Air Max2 low 1994, the first Air Max with the 3 Air bubbles.

Yea I heard they'll come in rainbow 🌈 and Trans colors flag🏳️⚧️ next year, there are rumors they'll also come with a nike scalpel so you can do your own Transition at home.
