The moment artificial intelligence started to show up in our homes already goes back to the 2000s. Honestly I didn't know that widespread knowledge started with this device. But in hindsight it makes perfect sense ;)
From there AI's (r)evolution continued like crazy, from virtual assistants, beating grandmasters in boardgames like chess and go, to the generative AI's we all know today: ChatGPT, Midjourney et cetera.
The future of AI though - and the impact on our personal lives - is very unpredictable and uncertain, and only time can tell.
