The way he really planned everything and made sure he got revenge without another war is just- Man he is a genius-

Wow this song is absolutely perfect for him. Literally all of the lyrics worked so well because he felt he had no choice but to do all them things to get revenge for his brother and the hard life he had afterwards. My favourite part was definitely 'Sorry the old Taylor can't come to the phone right now. Why? She's dead'. It's perfect for him because I think he genuinely was innocent and clueless before but used it as a disguise for the person he truly became as he sought revenge so he completely changed and that line near the end really works best.

I do agree i think before he found out what Jin Guangyao did he was innocent but i don't think he was Clueless at all. He was smart he just didn't want to do things he didn't want to do. Plus the whole "fainting" thing during the wen heir kidnapping was super smart. Didn't end up in the title cave in danger.

Don’t get me wrong “I don’t trust nobody and nobody trusts me” fits and everything but can we talk about “the role you made me play of the fool”?! Cuz like, that is exactly what he did. He played the fool for the looong game. All to take him down

I loved this so much, you did a really good job. I hate when people paint him as a villain because in reality he just used peoples misconceptions about him to his advantage.

He's definitely not a villain, but I wouldn't call him a good person either. He dragged some people through the mud and caused some terrible things in order to get his revenge (Mo Xuanyu, Qin Su)

@@angelinemnyavanu4707 Look, I agree he's not a villain (again, his kill count is like.. two people? Directly, that is), but he is no hero. He used deception as means to achieve revenge, hurting people in the process. He did care for his disciples (I believe that when the sects were in Yilling, the only person from the Nie sect was NHS), he tried to use peaceful methods - but that does not make him a hero nor a good person: He is just a heartbroken younger brother looking to avenge NMJ's murder. If he was good person, he would have let JGY get his trial or at least wouldn't use LXC as a tool to finish the man off. He is a flawed individual. He is not a villain, but he's not a hero either. He has done nothing heroic.

He brought Wei Wuxian back to life, 🤣, that's enough to make him the good guy in my book, there're no heroes in The Untamed/Mo Dao Zu Shi, but Nie Huaisang knew enough about everyone and he only used the information he had against Jin Guangyao. He made WangXian possible.

what just came to m mind is that WWX and NH could have been such a powerful force together (idc as in romantic or platonic) they are both complex characters who fight in their own ways for what they seem as right like damn both so dangerous in their own ways God damn it just i love this two so much

This song kinda fits wuxian too if you think about it :D

ALSO Spoilers for Final Journey: JGY taught him his flawed version of the song to calm down NMJ. It didn't work and NMJ killed his cousin and right-hand man, Nie Zonghui when he was qi deviating. Nie Zonghui who was one of the few people who believed in NHS and he also wasn't the only person to die from NMJ qi deviating. It's mentioned that NMJ killed a lot of servants, relatives, and disciples due to the qi deviations JGY's song was causing. JGY didn't just murder NMJ, he crippled the entire sect.

To be honest, he is also one of the tragic characters, definitely not like Wei Wu Xian, Wen clans, Jiang's family, or the others. Despite being a coward, lazy and undependable person, he was still innocent at first. He never felt jealous nor harmed others when others characters were doing evil things out of greed, jealousy, or pure evilness. But his brother's death and his trusted friend's betrayals changed him into a monster that no one dares to blindly trust like before. If not for Meng Yao, he would have lived his blissful life forever.

Who hate on them? I think Wwx who was once there(in between good & evil) are simply reminding Huai Sang that he had stepped on the line in between good & evil and with 1 wrong step he will be lost just like Jin Guang Yao did. Meaning to stop him from doing anything evil in the future because Wwx doesn't consider what Huai Sang did(revenge) as evil now. Huai Sang response meaning if nobody does evil to him, he will not respond with evil. Which is considerably threatening but also assuring that he will not start anything bad.

i really love and enjoy your video...now this is one the hit the spot. If Nie HuaiSang could say something, "Look what you made me do," would be it. I believe he doesn't have any ill intention other than bringing justice for his brother, Nie Mingjue, and exposing the culprit who had successfully fooled everyone and everything around him for years. I think the culprit not only fooled anyone but killed a lot of innocent people, framed other people for his crime as well. Disgusting really. I don't believe Nie HuaiSang wants to rule the world or be His Excellency. Throughout the drama and in the novel, his personality is consistent being one who prefers to not be in the spotlight...mild-mannered, 'a sensible man' he said. Luckily, quietly, he mustered the courage to - I don't know - convinced Mo XuanYu to sacrifice his body so that Wei WuXian can be reborn. Because he knows that only him can come to the bottom of it all.....he was right!!!!

Goooosh this sound fits them both sooo well and this edit is amazing 😱😱 Also I hate how NHS and WY & LZ parted... Honestly NHS is not the villain at least not anywhere close to Wen Ruhan, Wen Chao, JGY or Xue Yang, he did what he did to get revenge for a whole lot more ppl than just bmhis brother and to stop JGY from doing more harm, also he brought back WY and I think he did that not only bc of his grand plan but also bc deep down he was his best friend and he missed him and wanted him back just as much as LZ. So I really don't like how WY and LZ act all high and mighty "don't associate with the devil" blabla while both of them ars also morally grey characters and would have done the same to get revenge (and did even worse remembering how WY dealt with Wen Chao and Zhulio) so what I'm trying to say is it would have been more in character if WY had cheekily and between the lines lauded NHS for his effort and craftiness and they then went back to being the friends they used to be

Right?! WWX killed so many people in the battle leading to his death and he showed zero remorse for it (besides that it led to his and shijie's deaths). Lan Wangji killed about a hundred of his own sect to protect the Burial Mounds. Those two acting high and mighty when they would've done worse (or have in WWX's case) for revenge bothered me so much. They were such hypocrites! I wished WWX had congratulated and they went back to being friends.

@@maximesaindon3552 I don't think they were acting high and mighty or being hypocritical. I think when WWX said, “don’t associate with the devil” he meant both of them. I also don't think WWX considered himself a good person. They parted ways because even before WWX's death they weren't as close anymore. They were friendly but I wouldn't call them best friends or even close friends. And I must say that he didn't defend WWX when everyone was against him, he only knew his friend wasn't bad once he started his master plan to avenge his brother. Overall NHS is one of the best characters of the show and one of my favorites, he was absolutely smart, and did not only avenge his brother but gave WWX an opportunity to clean his name.

I'm half way through the drama & it kind of worked like a spoiler but never mind, it seems to avenge Yao he kind of .. no chuck that, he literally used WWX as well. There is something about these "fools" you should never fool around them. They are the always the ones who causes the chaos & get away with things to because people think they are "fools".
