The last line that says “welcome home” while wwx wakes up to lwj playing the guqin for him just hits differently

*SPOILERS* what gets me everytime is the fact that in every single version of the grandmaster of demonic cultivation, while WWX faces his tragic death and the events leading up to it, he feels alone, desolate, unloved... JC, his own brother, was barely there (for various reasons, but it's a fact) and took part in his demise, his sister and her husband were killed before his eyes while thinking it was all his own fault.... He was so depressed and ready to just end himself that he was incapable of realizing that LWJ was there and willing to be there for him, actually trying to help him, actually loving him. And that just makes me ugly cry because imagine the outcome if he understood LWJs feelings for him earlier on and that he himself loved that man. But alas, he didn't and so he died thinking he was all alone. Even in the drama, when LWJ tried to pull him up from the cliff, he couldn't get it, he literally couldn't fathom it, saying "Lan Zhan, let me go. Just let me go". FML why do i torture myself And btw, he was depressed for a long time, even before he left his clan! He never truly got over the death of his foster parents because he was too busy taking care of his siblings. Then he went through the golden core exchange for JC: smth extremely painful and no doubt traumatic, considering the way it was done (i mean, having to stay awake for 2 days and 1 night, no anasthesia, feeling smth like your very soul being torn out of your body...). Then, before he could even get better after that, he got thrown into the Burial Mounds, so basically hell and had to fight for his life without ANY SPIRITUAL POWERS in the WORST POSSIBLE STATE. Then he came back, stronger but traumatized from the goddang Burial Mounds, but he keeps it to himself. Never talks about it, ignores it, acts as if he's fine and takes on all the criticism for not acting with decorum around the other cultivators, simply because he had no choice (try wielding a spiritual sword without spiritual powers). And then, with people already being annoyed with him and being resentful, he stands up for what he believes to be right and is punished as a traitor and a demonic cultivator. And I haven't even mentioned the war or the plots behind his back.... Long story short, the world broke him in his first life and not even his soul mate could fix that

I love you rn🥰 because you can also write long paragraphs😂 people literally complain how much I write, they say it’s like an essay, a Ted talk, I’m not even kidding😂 like I can barely find someone who writes this much 🥺 it’s true though, Wei Wixian took in all the pain, he was never selfish, always wanted fair justice for people who deserved it, like the good Wen clan(Wen Qing) like they didn’t deserve to die, they’re just living beings, same for Wei WuXian, those who judged him were too much on edge and didn’t want to learn that what they do is wrong(they don’t want to admit it, they just want to act as if they’re always right), Wei WuXian was framed for no reason, and wow😍😍😍 I really love Wei WuXian’s mind, such a genius, maybe people were jealous how good he is😍. Anyways, I loved that Yanli always believed in him, even at her last breathe💔💔💔😢😢😢 😭😭😭 That hurt so much, she was one of my favorite characters and she died, Wen Ning is so innocent, he really has NOTHING to do with evil, he was just controlled by the spirit🥺🥺😭😭❤️❤️He’s so adorable. I cried when Lan Wanji found out about giving his golden core to Jieng Chen, that’s when he REALLY WANTED to protect Wei WuXian, and they just don’t understand Wei WuXian, like PUT YOURSELF IN HIS SHOES, why would he want to take the criticism, physical pain when he doesn’t have his own golden core so he has to fight for his life leaving himself sleepless? And more things they don’t know. Only Lan Wanji stood by his side, he may not understand all what Wei WuXian, but it was enough for him to reason why he wants to protect him from harm, his father tried to protect his mother, yet he lost his mother, like how his father only wanted to protect her, Lan Wanji wanted to protect someone who’s very important to him too.🥺😭❤️❤️❤️🥺🥺🥺 I love this series, I’d say it’s one of the 3 best Chinese shows I’ve ever watched, at first, I found it too long seeing 50 episodes, but now I want more😭💔 I know there’s two movies about other characters but I want more of Lan Wanji and Wei WuXian🥺😂😂😂😍😍🥰🥰 and all the characters altogether. I miss those who died😭😭😭💔💔💔 like Xing XiaoChen, Xue Yang(he’s hot, and crazy😂) my favorite two girl characters(Yanli and Wen Qing), that Nie guy with the mustache(he won’t be there to say “what did you want to tell me about?” “Nothing.” Nie brother talk😂) and I low key feel bad for Meng Yao because of how his father treated him as if he was nothing, and he wanted his father to pay for his mother’s freedom, but she and him always get criticized by how he was the illegalment child, I mean blame it on the father for having too much women around him people! I just hate it when people criticize others when they really don’t know anything, and they don’t know how much their own words hurts others and traumatizes them😡😡😭😭😭😢😢😢🥺😩🥺 like my baby Wei WuXian, I love him so much, I want to protect him too!!!❤️❤️❤️ and give him lots of love

I feel you. WWX’s life was so selfless, so brutal SO tragic. And then LWJ went through such agony, missing him, believing he was not loved in return, and facing the real possibility that he might never1) return2) ever even KNOW of LWJ’s devoted , singular love. 😭😭😭I ugly cry for both of them! LWJ’s entire world gets turned upside down. He gets beaten by his own uncle so harshly he is bedridden for three years, he breaks all the rules for WWX, over and over , choosing to love him, all while believing his love is one sided,!😭😭And when WWX returns, the full on defying EVERY member of his clan for WEI, in such a public way....oh god, I cannot even...aaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh😂😭😂😭😭💕💕💕💕💕🐇🐇👍🏻👍🏻💥💥✨💥✨😍🥰🥰🥰🤯🤯😂😂😭😭my crushed and bleeding heart is just a pathetic puddle on the floor, tissues! That is upsetting for us. But it just means that WWX did those things truly b/c he believed it to be good, not to be thanked for. He didn’t have any expectations from others; you could say he did it out of unconditional love. No need for thanks or apologies, it wasn’t even to better his reputation. He stuck w/ his principals and morals, and what makes him interesting is that he’s not perfect. He did harm others for his own reasons, it doesn’t excuse him from his own actions but he was desperate and had limited options. It makes him so much more real as a character.

Its been months since I finish this drama. Haven’t found another drama that made so obsessed like this one. Best Drama Ever.

It's truly a beautiful piece of art. It didn't even need any intimate scenes like most dramas. You could see everything through their eyes and emotions..

Yeah..me too..first i read manhwa, then watch the anime, then i read the novel ( still at chapter 46 ) and watch the drama.. Episode 46 i cried like a baby.. Now im watching all the MV.. And also watching some theory behind the drama.. Some Chinese channel (with eng subtitle).. She did a good job, explained every each episode that we miss and theory behind it.. Once i know it, it hit me hard emotionally..

When I started watching The Untamed, I was execting sone kind of heartwarming comedy story. But then I got pure boy who wasn't thinking like others. He doesn't think that if somone says that one thing is bad, it truly is bad. He had to know it by himself and then he would personally decide if it is 'bad'. But thing that broke my herat was fact that for whole show Wei Wuxian didn't do anything bad. Yeah, he killed people, but everyone had to do it in order to live. He was doing 'demonic cultivation' but he sacrificed his golden core along with his great sword talent (once someone said that Wei Wuxian has great talent and he can evole it in whatever he want) to his sad and broken brother. He helped for Wen family. They did nothing wrong, like war was decision of only a part of this clan. We know that Wei Ning and his sister hide and helped for Wei and his siblings after their home was destroyed and patents died. He did nothing wrong except going against people with power. He was warm person with good hearth, but he was broken so many times, he lose far too lot people he lowed, cared about. He sacrificed himself for anyone who need this. If it is not a thing that 'good person' have I don't know what a 'goog person/hero' is. Wei Wuxian deserved better, easier life. Or, at least someone at whom he could lean (remamber that for a lot of time after Wei lose his golden core and start demonic cultivation, Lan Wangji also thought that he should just 'come with him and take again a rightfull, sword path')

what an epic journey - i know The Untamed will be one of my favourites forever. Not just because it was an excellent script with a great cast and flawless production, but because WeiYing & Lan WangJi have so perfectly depicted their unbreakable bond through time, through adversity and through a common cause for justice. This is the kind of magic that will never die. I will always look back and remember how I cried along with them. XiaoZhan at the end of the filming said he will return the character and wish the characters happiness. This is the sort of gentle love and grace that is nurturing and to be cherished. Wishing all the fans of The Untamed love and happiness too.

I loved it, especially the cliff scene and the ending...it was perfect ❤

After having seen the drama, animation and having read the novel, I am even more impressed by the amazing character that Wei Wuxian is. I already loved him as an character when I first watched the drama but now knowing more of his character, I am even more stunned at how fantastic Xiao Zhan was able to portray this complex character. This man managed to express every emotion of Wei Ying so beautifully. Re-watching his scenes again, hits me even harder. I can't praise it enough!

I started watching Kdramas back in 2016 and I honestly thought finding Koreans dramas was the greatest thing ever. After CLOY ended my heart needed to fill the void of the show and I stumbled upon the untamed on Netflix. I’ll never forget that day because my life literally changed since then!! The story of wwx and lwj is so beautiful and I want to thank them so much for introducing me to the world of BLs! 🥺❤️ Its been about 5 months since and the BL world has me forever now ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜

Never ONCE doubting him, even for a split second! Even as she was DYING, Yanli didn't waver in her loyalty to Wei...pushing him aside and taking the blow that would have killed him. Even though she had a newborn child who already lost his father to take care of, she protected her baby brother and took death so HE wouldn't have to! I sobbed SO much through this series...seeing Wei crumble, loosing himself after loosing his adopted parents AND his sister, shattering the bond between him and JC, seeing him die and then come back only to be hated and blamed for things he NEVER did, seeing him finally get that moment to reconcile with his brother(them both apologizing had me crying for HOURS, istg! And when JC said "take care"?! ASJGKFJKAFJ! Even though Wei didn't hear it, that line did me in! UGH!), seeing him meet, and form one of the BEST bonds with, the boy who would have called him "Uncle" had everything been different(I don't even like to get INTO Jin Ling's story because there is so much of "what COULD have been" that I honestly don't even like THINKING about it!), seeing him reunite with his husband, his best friend, AND the child he helped raise for the short time he was around, seeing him help SO many people(most of which, mind you, didn't deserve SHIT from him, but he did it anyways because that's just the kind of selfless man he is!), AND seeing him FINALLY able to LIVE without others damning him and being cruel! It's all so heartbreaking and lovely and just...Wei had SUCH a hard time through BOTH of his lives! From the minute he gave his golden core to JC, everything started going downhill for him! He deserved SO much more! He deserved more apologies than the few he got! He was broken by the world before he even got the chance to really LIVE! UGH! I JUST got done crying over this series, but, clearly, it looks like it's not done with me just yet! I'm gonna go sob into my pillows again...

It made me cry so bad, the song gives it another extra feel. Wei Wuxian had such a terrible life and nobody understood him but Lan zhan ❤ I just love their bond so much.

I think that out all the FMV I watched this one was probably thew most that actually made me cry, due to seeing all the very sad scenes from eps 1-45. STOP MAKING ME CRY GODDAMN IT! i have no more tears left to cry, and i aslo ran out of tissues....

3 years later, rewatched this drama too many times, read the manhua, bought the actual novel and read those too. Here I am watching fmvs everyday.

Just a few more days to go and it will be 2023 and yet this drama still running on my head everyday. To be honest, they're still the best couple for me. The untamed still remained the masterpiece of all dramas. Nothing can change that🤧😭

Back here after rewatching the drama and my reactions when watching it never change. It's such a detailed storyline that hurt it so many ways.

I've rewatched this drama 3x and here iam still sobbing over clips like this 😭 the impact that this drama left is so HUGE I WILL NEVER RECOVER. when i thought abt certain scenes i still cry that I had to distract myself

this is beautiful 😭 I love this story so much

This man got hated because he was being selfless and got accused of things he didnt even do. Over the time you can see how he goes from a jolly person to an aggressive paranoid. The reasom why he ended himself was because he thought he had no one as he stood by the hills and watched the chaos after throwing stygian tiger amulet. Even though lan zhan was there, he didnt know lz truly loved him, partly because lz didnt really strongly express it either and when jiang cheng screamed "go to hell", he finally left lan zhans hand. Even after 16 years, he kept questioning if lan zhan believed in him back then and this time lz didnt take any risk and made wwx believe that he was and will always be there for him. This is a masterpiece.

Me coming back to watch the untamed edits even after months of watching them again and again. I don't think I am ever going to get over this series.

I guess the "Untamed" is referred really to Wuxian. Even tho there's two leads in this drama series, it's clear Wei Wuxian is the main lead here. Because if you'll notice the story revolves around him and his actions/decisions. His journey was stuff and everyone was affected by him and how he does

You placed every single scene in a perfect place for each and every line in this song. The storytelling is great, it shows so much emotion and struggle.

Untamed is not a drama,novel or a comic...its a emotional a feeling...the more we watch or read this the more we can relate with this..with every character mostly the persons who had mentally broken..everyone has their side of story n it's great they played their role so well😭💜💜aahhh just cant get over it
