To the cute grandson : How older people learn is that you can't explain too much along the way. Eg. If your grandpa wants to learn a specific goal, like making a presentation, then list down modules 1) How to add more slides 2) How to add pictures and graphics 3) How to add change font, size, color, etc Then list down exact things to press for EACH step. And don't introduce too many variables, options, features. They can learn more complexities along the way. Just teach them the FRAMEWORK and exact things to press. Grandpa can do a step-by-step screengrab manual of sorts to cement his learning. :)

My father (67) just died last months, and it pained me so much that he refused to go to the hospital. He just felt not well for 2 days before he's gone. Until this day I keep blaming myself for thinking that it was a usual sickness.. Well since I was 3 my father was diagnosed with diabetes, so as far as I can remember I know that my time with him won't be long. Now I'm 21 and it pained me that he'll never see me graduate (I'm on my 7 sem) and walk me down the aisle😭😭

I love love this video! You guys always have great content! I appreciate the bond between the younger ones with the seniors and they're aware of how worthy the seniors were in their lives. My favorite part of the video was how Josiah reflected and realized that his actions and behavior could've been better towards spending time with his grandmother, because not everyone is able to self reflect and when they finally do, sometimes it may be too late.

The tensions of being oneself relating to the other; the expressions of loving care that ensues between the gramps and youthful ones is tender and powerful; it is life itself. Thank you for giving us glimpses of you ...all of you. Carry on in love and courage..for there is much the elder can pass on to the younger, and there is much life the younger gives by engaging the elder.

To be honest... seeing the parents grow old is scary and is like u wish they will never have to grow old but it doesnt work tat way... staying away from family due to work n rarely talk to the fam. Sparing self from having to confront the pain of seeing them growing old. It's super scary. I starting to feel all this now. I know it's super selfish for me to behave such a way but i can't bear with it. Just the thought of it... i could die.

Hi OGS, we are a group of students from SMU doing an initiative to share untold stories of distinguished seniors (eg. Ms Elim Chew, Mdm Noor Aziza Ali) . The mission of our project resonates with the values of OGS, which is to erase the mindset of elderly being beneficiaries and promote youth volunteerism in society. Hence, we would like to propose a few ideas in our project titled, 50 over 50. It would mean the world to my group and I if you would be willing to hear our proposed ideas and possibly give effective feedback along the way as well. Thank you and hope to hear from you :)
