The Unseen Realm in Indigenous Healing Systems
Patrisia Gonzales addresses Red Medicine as a system of healing that includes birthing practices, dreaming, and purification rites to re-establish personal and social equilibrium. Patrisia explores the Indigenous medicine across North America, with a special emphasis on how Indigenous knowledge has endured and persisted amongpeoples with a legacy to Mexico. Gonzales combines her lived experience in Red Medicine as an herbalist and traditional birth attendant with in-depth research into oral traditions, storytelling, and the meanings of symbols to uncover how Indigenous knowledge endures over time. And she shows how this knowledge is now being reclaimed by Chicanos, Mexican Americans and Mexican Indigenous peoples. Gonzales links pre-Columbian thought to contemporary healing practices by examining ancient symbols and their relation to current curative knowledges among Indigenous peoples. Red Medicine suggests that Indigenous healing systems can usefully point contemporary people back to ancestral teachings and help them reconnect to the dynamics of the natural world.

Better than placebo?
"Can you go back in time and heal diseases so they don't effect future generations?" 🤔 not in our ultra primitive understanding of disease where it's equated with aids or hepatitis. But in the sense that anything that effects the mind to the point of impairment, like addiction, yes, absolutely.
the bible warns us that there will appear many false Christs and false prophets that will deceive people through signs and wonders. You don't pay a send but it will cost you your soul. My heart breaks for those still in pain and without hope. I've heard about a woman who had an issue for 20 years. She went to all the doctors and healers and spend all her money but no one could heal her. Then one day she heard of this healer coming to her town. Everybody was talking about him. He healed a lot of people. She said to herself if only I could get close enough to him to touch him I will be healed. It was not easy because there were a lot of people doing the same thing. But she pushed her way through and was able to touch just a piece of his garment. And as soon as she touched him she felt in her body she was healed. Not only did she feel it, but even the healer felt virtue leaving his body. Who touched me he said. The people thought he was crazy because everybody pushed against him. Then the woman came forward and told him her story. Go your way he said your faith has made you whole. If only you can touch him or be touched by him. Nobody knew her name but her story still inspires hope in men and women all over the world. The healer still heals today. Do not fear, only believe. But where will you find him and what is his name? Have you not heard, have you not seen. A light has gone forth and those who dwell in darkness have seen this light. There are many stories like that still today. Not only does he heal but he also forgives sins. This Jesus of Nazareth went around doing good and healing all that were oppressed by the devil. Once he even healed ten men with incurable diseases. But only one went back to him to say thank you. Jesus loves you and he had compassion on the sick. He died and rose from the dead and he promised to come back again. Yes God cannot lie. Only believe this gospel and you will be saved. For in no other name is their salvation but in the name of Jesus Christ. Jesus not only heals the sick but he also forgives sins. Charlie did not die for your sins but Jesus died and rose from the dead so that whoever believes in him can have eternal life.
