It was the same for me. I was looking up some Crash Bandicoot videos, and his was recommended. I came for the speedruns, I stayed for the genuinely funny and chill dude.

So sorry this happened that was ridiculous. Best thing I can say is that if you check chat on the twitch vod, there's like 50 people in a row calling for Pura's head lol

How did it happen?

In the 24 years I've been playing this game I have never seen this glitch occur. Since you have seen this glitch multiple times, is it something that happens only in Adventure Mode or can it also happen in Arcade? And does it only happen with Polar and Pura or can it happen to every NPC in the barrel section?

Apparently this glitch happends when an AI collides with an item or another AI in the barrel section. Could this happen for regular players too? If so it could be used for lap skipping.

Exactly what I was thinking of, but I suppose the problem is that the AI rubberbands whereas the player does not. Probably it would bring another CPU player one lap earlier, it could still probably be used to get extra Masks?

Well I just learned something new about CTR with this video, Out of all the times I've played CTR I've never in my life Encountered/Seen that glitch ever! That's twice now you've shown off glitches/Bugs I didn't know about the first was the audio bug with Polar Pass which soft locks the game and now this. Now it has me worried whenever I go back to play N. Gin Labs in the future but also makes me curious on if there's anymore glitches in this game that I don't know about. 😅 Just curious is there a explanation as to why the Ai skips a lap or does no one know?

It's something to do with the barrel section, the AI are supposed to take paths to avoid the barrel and never get hit. But if they get hit in to it/ pushed in to it, weird stuff can happen. I might be wrong with my explanation, but I know its something to do with that section of the track. Hope this helped!

I feel like I have seen that bug but either didn't notice or remember because I was too young, that's wild.

The post-results Uka Uka theme is pretty fitting to the mood, NGL.

Wow, now I somehow feel like i´ve encountered this same glitch but at the same time I´m not sure I did hahaha. Just something really really unfortunate to watch.

I’ve had the NGL glitch happen multiple times, especially on emulator. Not sure what causes it but the checkpoint system clearly gets buggered somehow

Recently I had an opposite glitch happen where if I take off-road at the end of Dragon Mines too sharply, it puts me a lap behind. I've been playing this game for years and never saw it happen before, but I somehow managed to do it 3 times in a row.

This happens when you aren't on the ground. You're hitting the wall on the left which is throwing you up and over the start finish line

A couple of time, but when it happens, it happens on lap 1, giving u enough time to recover as the AI rubber bands backwards slowly because the further ahead the AI is, the more it slows down to let you catch. This happening on lap 3 is a first, and it meant i didn't have the time to catch up. Pretty brutal.

And it had to be Pura too

Pura bribed the place watcher so they would be put in 1st place near the end of the race.
