Tony is absolutely correct in saying that these proposed deals should've already been finalised before the media even had a sniff of creating rumours

The problem is Man united can't control the rumours, I think most of the times it's the agents and the clubs that we are dealing with that give the scoops to the media

@@directorme6669 You can navigate that by planning your business beforehand then only dealing with external agents/clubs when finalising the already established move. Have a proposal, a budget, a contract already planned and then 'pull the trigger' on the transfer negotiation. We currently seem to be declaring our interest in a player and then letting everyone else, media included, determine the fee and the wages.

In that interview with bloomberg Ratcliffe appeared to be saying that part of the problem for us to currently get transfers over the line is that neither Ashworth or Berrada are currently in position. Ineos having looked at a club who are losing money despite having a a huge turnover should and will be looking to reduce our wage bill by offloading high earners and in my opinion will not spend more than £30m on any player. I think you’re contradicting yourself. Talking about not getting the tax and overpaying but also saying we should rush signings. In order to change our transfer culture we have to show patience and not show any panic. Go for several targets and the ones that’s come through we get, or use those to then negotiate a lower price. For example if Everton know we have a deal accepted for another CB they’d be more willing to lower the price, if they don’t then it’s their loss. Also…I’m guessing they’re struggling selling the players for the same reason as every season which isn’t their fault, could be a depressing window.

Who's supposed to be deciding on these targets and making these bids? The whole point is that things flow down from the CEO to the Sporting Director to the head of Recruitment to the Scouts. We have none of these people in place. If you were thinking we'd have made a dozen offers and got players in already, then you are, frankly, utterly deluded. Fixing United is a much, much bigger job.

I think having Rudd on Eric's shoulder would be a masterstroke. He knows the club and what's expected, he was a ruthless finisher and brilliant player, the likes of him are what we need. A winner who hates to lose. And if things don't go well for Eric this season then he wouldn't be a bad interim/new manager to take over. I'm confident that there's a plan in place for the transfers and low balling Everton and walking away maybe a great way to send the message out that we're not going to pay over the odds anymore. If the players really want United then they'll be the ones to put the pressure on their agents to get things done.

Rudd is a legend. Love him. If he goes to Burnley I'll be looking for their results every game. If he comes home, there's a good chance he'd be united manager by Christmas. Glad ten Hag is staying but could go either way. The scars of last seasons home defeats are not yet healed. 🤷‍♀️

He’d probably still be able to put a shift in. Would love to see hoiland hit the same heights as RVN 🙏🏼

I hope TH is watching the Euro esp. players he disregarded like Sabitzer. I knew he was a quality player but hardly given time and let go. Obviously not a good judge of players calibre. Shame.

I like the idea of RVN coming back. He's got the right mentality as we already know and he won't be afraid to let players have it 📢 if need be

You guys do realise he's ETH replacement right? It's like living with your wife and your mistress under the same roof. They just don't want to pay off ETH, he's a dead man walking. They know this season is gojng to be a write off, Eric is the fall man.

In my opinion Ruud' s personality might be a bit too strong to work beside Ten Hag.

What on earth is happening to us??? When will we ever get away from everything Ferguson? We need a coach/manager thats not invested with the past. Look what happened when the scousers brought in Klopp who had NO PREVIOUS INVOLVEMENT with them. A clean break with a coach whos backed and also knows what hes doing with a playing style would help. BTW, whats up with Tony? A couple of videos ago he was telling us that the likes of Villa and Newcastle would be ecstatic at winning the Carabao and FA cup in consecutive seasons, tney probably would, but are we not MANCHESTER UNITED???!!! Jeez, the bar is set so low these days, im not sure when UNITED will challenge for the league or in the champions league again.

With all due respect to Branthwaite, we MUST NOT go anywhere near him. Having watched the guy and seen other people analyse him, I don't think he even starts for Brighton.

@@Timekeeper1200 I know I'm not a scout, but I can link you to someone who is a former scout for West Bromwich Albion. He breaks down his strengths and weaknesses well and concludes that he's not a high enough standard for a club with the ambitions of Man Utd. Plus, you don't really need to be a scout to assess a player on the pitch. We can all see.
