During the African Chiefs of Defense conference that was held in Gaborone, Botswana on June 25th 2024, the US Africom Command Director Army Corps General Michael Langley assured the new Kenyan Chief of Defense General Charles Kahariri that the United States will stand with Kenya in every situation, and its in endeavor to export security worldwide, including to Haiti.
This was after observing a moment of silence in honour of the late General Francis Ogolla, who died in a plane crash while serving as the country's Chief of Defense Forces.
