Fully agree division really is unique, and nothing really can do what it does. To me it's the combination of co-op pve, which is generally a sparse genre, and the build system. Other games have builds, but most of the time it's similar to something like Diablo where the builds are variations on a predetermined path of unlocked perks. It's amazing we can have builds as different as strikers, headhunter, eclipse, support builds, etc, and they all have their uses for various things. And there's no "spend 100 hours grinding a separate character" because we can swap loadouts instantly when we are out of combat. Gear so ofen, like destiny for example, boils down to "put on the larger number or better color gear. It's so prevalent that a common mistake in division for new players is assuming they need an exotic in their build, and just run whatever gear has the highest rolled stats, because in many other games that's just how things are done. I think the lack of major updates we've gotten since wony is down to the business model. Basically every other live service game is packed with micro transactions, pay to win gear, or at least "grind for hours and hours or pay up" systems. Credit where credits due, all micro transactions in division are cosmetic, and there's still a wide range of free cosmetic options without paying anything at all. I really don't think division gets enough credit for this, and the downside has been less funding updates. Imo, I'll take gladly take that tradeoff to avoid a pay to win cash grab game. It's honestly wild to me, and a testament to it's success, that development is still active and we are supposed to get another large update/dlc in 2025, 6 years after it was released.

Division 2 is amazing. Overall, all open world activities & control points, option to turn some directives, story missions, invaded missions, strongholds and option to face white tusk on legendary difficulty, summit with challenges for extra loot and option to choose targeted loot, countdown, descent, 3 dark zones with unique setting and PVP Conflict mode, Kenly College investigation (which need better rewards please) Opportunity to play eight classified assignments which are simple story missions in some interesting places, 2 challenging raids and incursion...also Daily and weekly projects for extra resources. There's a lot into this game. Ton's of commendations and arm patches, leagues and global events, also story included in manhunts. Its pretty big game, of course it has flaws, different people different sugesstions, same with movies. Something that is not often discussed is the fantastic soundtrack by Ola Strandh

What I like about the division games is how they do their gear system or rpg system, especially when they do gear sets. ESO is kinda similar to their gear system since it also has gear set bonuses on every piece of equipment and some of them act like brand sets like “Willpower”. But aside from that, divisions 1’s gear progression was just like any other diablo like rpg, people even called the division “diablo shooter”. But when “classified gear sets” are introduced, it’s quite interesting in concept to farm an enhanced or better version of said gear set and make powerful builds from them. Division 2 kinda did this differently but also cool as well with equipping the chest piece and the backpack piece of said gear set, it’ll give the two bonus enhancements similar to the classified counterparts in division 1. Idk any other looter shooter ever even does this well. And secondly, the rpg system is way more skill based, specialisations in division 2 are kinda like stand-ins for classes but not really, even the exclusive skills from specialisations as well, but you can wear piece of gear you want if it’s dmg based, healer based, or tank based, etc.Your spot in with the cyberpunk comparison since the original tabletop rpg itself is also skill based system instead of class based. And with the edition of swapping loadouts is quite nice, unlike other online rpg that is class based where you need to create an alt specifically for tank or healer role, or tediously swapping gear around and respec your attributes and skills for too long.

I've always said, something's most passionate critic is also likely its most passionate fan. I hold things I love to a higher standard and want to see them be at their best, so I will be the first to point out its flaws. If it was something I didn't care about or hated, I wouldn't waste time scrutinizing it.

We are basically a SPLUNK USER GROUP - If we are start looking at Division 2 the way we look at Services like SPLUNK or SAP or QRADAR or Quickbooks... welll.. then... Ubisoft/Massive Needs to get their shit together and they need to start really listening to "us" as a user community, incorporate us like the "splunk" user community and trust me... we will have a much better experience.... Totally agree... I'm such a DOD Fan boy.

This comment is about the story (the season reveal) not what the video is about. Spoilers down below this comment. I don't like how keener is back because how he explains it. The concept is there but dialog isn't. What I'm referring to is keener says "Isaac said agent deceased". Keener then emphasize agent in "agent deceased". When u go through WONY (warlords of new york), when defeating keener/parnell Isaac says "rogue agent deceased". My problem is not Isaac saying "deceased" part but keener saying/emphasizing "agent" part. The "trick/resurrection/deceit" is Isaac tells the player that keener/parnell is dead when really they aren't.

Okay, I love the Division franchise, but if someone really tried to say it was a tactical shooter (a game where you can empty a clip into someone's face and they still survive because of """""armor""""")...come on, now 🤣🤣🤣

“I cannot drop this game no matter how hard I try.” The perfect expression of how most devoted Division players feel, I think. It captures the frustrating and almost endless disappointment, the acknowledged flaws, the bugs, the repetitiveness, the silliness of the grind - and at the same time, despite ALL of it, “there’s nothing else like it.” It’s why, I gather, most people who happened to listen to loyal division players talk about the game for any stretch of time might just as well conclude that we hate it as love it.

In my opinion when it comes down to looter shooters on the market the only game that comes close to the division is The Borderlands series, especially Borderlands 2 that game is extremely balanced as a looter shooter.

Came across your channel as I'm a fan of the game. I don't get point of this vid. Literal any game can be equaly unique if you list out all its major features as u have done here for div2. Like destiny 2 example- space explorer, fantasy fps, unique class mechanics, etc. And then u can make exact vid for Destiny 2. So, all games are unique on their own and so is div 2. Does not prove anyting. U say there is nothing like it in the market. Same can be said about lot of other game. Also, you say cover to cover is new to gaming. Gears of War started this almost 20 years ago. that single fact you said is apalling. no disrespect.

In the combat the game feels really dated to be honest. Cant crouch, cant go prone. ENEMIES CAN! Enemies having aimbot. Hivemind. Awful spawn systems. AI is most of the time bad. Everyone running into open without any team work and AI does insanely predictable things and yelling some one liners. What makes them hard is that they have top tier aimbot mainly Hyenas. Also the dated cover system that got me killed so many times is the last thing i am relying on in this game. No one plays in cover unless i will equip LMG, suddenly everyone is suppressed. + damage to target out of cover is the only perk that makes sense when using guns in this game. Certain combat scenarios that are depending on weird scripts like when they can kill civilians with one bullet but as soon as the player enters the field, the civilians can take so much more without them even having any proper armor or plates unlike my agent who is shredded in nanoseconds by red guys as well on heroic. Cant even hold my breath when aiming through the scope. Like why the combat feels so narrow all the time with same outcome? And people bellow me talking about build diversity, when 98% of players are running the same exact setups with same exact guns - elmo yeah with striker. And most of the other gear sets are depending heavily on building stacks with fast rpm guns only. Which basically even is limiting the choice of weapon. The game does lot of things right, but to be honest if there was a urban combat third person game where i can crouch, go prone and use proper tactics with a AI like in FEAR and with the sound design of Division, i would turn down Division but since there is no other game (Ghost Recon is not exactly set in urban area), then there is nothing else on the market.

Basically agreed, but I was able to get over my addiction. Just follow the development soap operas now. There are only two (could have been 3) games who provide something unique what drove me, which is a PVPVE cycle, and those are Destiny 2 and The Division 2. In the first I clocked 6400 hours. In the second 1600 hours. Yeah, it got sweaty at times. I deinstalled both out of different and similar reasons, and I had to overcome a high amount of cold turkey. - Destiny 2 had it all within grip but greed drove the quality into the Abyss. No details, another tale for another time. - Division 2 looked like the coma patient for several years, not dead not really living. Hey, pvp freaks and meta gamers do not count, both are able to play their own game on another layer. And Div2 made some things much better than Div1 and a lot of them worse than Div1. And it had so much more potential being better than Div1. I visited from time to time. When the news of the patient waking up arrived some months ago, I was back, worked it up to expertise 15, ready to tackle 25, lived several weekends in the Dark Zone, even found a competent buddy to team up with for that. And then the atrocity of this seasons ending. Boy, I know greed when I see it, I am Destiny 2 trained. Underdeliver but overcash, that is the method. We will maybe see each other again after the reviews for Div3 are through, UbiMasssive. Afterwards. - And - honorable mention - Anthem had the most potential and the biggest implosion of them all. It could have been everything and in the end it was nothing. Like tears in the rain. When the night is dark and the thoughts come, I still shed one. In the end I'd rather mod Cyberpunk (1700 hrs) for pure fun of it, than give in to the cashgrabs of those s** f** a* U**.

i like your positivity dod but they never, not a single time did whats best for the players/game since td1 came out, they are and allways will be totally incompetent muppets and nothing will change. dont get me wrong i like the game alot and its pretty sad to see how they left the runover on the road with what they did over the last 3/4 years but i dont expect anything from this mess of a studio. they havent fixed a million bugs since release. and i dont give a shit who pays them or who calls what happens next, they developed this game and learned nothing from the 1st part.
