    Please pray for me. I want to give up but God won’t let me because I’m walking with Jesus. So I will continue to trust in him even though I’m struggling, I will never lose hope. Jesus is the only light in this world. As a single mother things are difficult on me. My husband passed years ago I’m alone. I’m overwhelmed at times because both of my children are autistic. I’m struggling trying to support them and myself because like so many others. I lost my job as a social worker at Forsyth hospital because I declined the vaccine. I declined because of my pre existing health condition lupus and heart disease. I was denied my medical/religious exemption. I wish I could go back to the hospital but the mandate is still in place for hospitals that participate in Medicare and Medicaid all workers must have the covid 19 vaccine. I’m waitressing and I’m so thankful to be working again, but I’m not making nearly enough to make ends meet. I get harassed and called names for simply asking for prayers, but prayers are all we need. I want to give up, but God gives me strength to keep going. I have faith God will provide. WITH GOD ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE! Please pray for me and my children.

    Will you pray this prayer with me? 🕊 Dear God, there have been times I have been prideful and taken credit when I should have given you the glory. It is only because of you that I have the ability to succeed. All my gifts come from you. Help me to remember to praise the one who gives and takes away rather than praising myself. Help me to live a life that honors you. Give me opportunities to use my earthly riches to bring glory to your name and draw others to you. In Jesus' name, amen.

    You are in my prayer.. remember suffering is important, it refines our faith while at the same time reminds us that we are being drawn closer to God. Now there is a suffering that is a consequence that sin produces. But the suffering that is God recieves glory in, well that's what comes about as we walk in repentance. This is the believers wilderness.. Trust in The Lord as the fire gets turned up, He will be with you. But you must keeping moving forward in Faith no matter what you see with your eyes.. walk in Faith and His mighty hand will deliver you..

    The word Jesus is the Latin form of the Greek Iesous, this last being the adjective form of Iesos, and ungrammatically used as a name Iesous in the Old Testament is translated Joshua; in the New, Jesus. Both are therefore, identical. Drop the termination ous, or os, which is not essential to the meaning of the word, and there remains Ies, in Latin Jes. This is varied: sometimes it is Iao, Ieuo, Eua, Euas, Euas, and Hues, all having for their root the Greek huo-to rain. The reason of the name will be understood when we reflect that the Sun (Jesus) was born during the rainy season on the 25th of December, The Hebrew root from which the name Joshua is derived may also mean to rain. Hence Joshua and Jesus are again proved identical. Indeed, how could we be saved without rain? All must be baptized, or pass through the rainy season, to be saved! Iesous, Iesos, Joshua or Jesus was the Son (Sun) of Nun; or, of the fish; or, of the whale, which swallowed Jonah. “The fish, in the opinion of antiquarians in general, is the symbol of Jesus Christ.” (Didron Iconography, p. 344.) Tertullian says: “We are little fishes in Christ our great fish.” (On Baptism, Chap. 1.) The learned Danish Bishop Munter tells us that, “In the Talmud the Messiah is called Dag, i.e. Fish,” and that “the Jews connected him with the astronomical sign of the Fishes.” (J. P. Lundy, Monument. Christ. p. 133.) Thus, are we told squarely that Jesus Christ was the Sun in Pisces. Indeed, so closely was Jesus related to Joshua’s father, the Fish, that he was often called Ichthus = THE FISH. But why did the Jews apply the name Fish to their Messiah, or Spring Sun? Whence did they derive the idea, and why have Christians preserved it as a name for their Christ or Savior? [let the of quoted passage from Berosus answer: “In the first year (the Beginning of Genesis) there made its appearance from a part of the Erythraean (Red) sea, which bordered upon Babylonia, an animal endowed with reason, who was called Oannes. The whole body of this animal was like that of a fish; and had under a fish's head another head “and also feet below similar to those of a man, subjoined to the fish's tail, His voice, too, and language, were articulate and human; and a representation of him is preserved to this day.” (Cory's Ancient Fragments, p. 57, London. 1876.) This animal' was amphibious: at night he plunged into the sea, where he remained until in morning. In the day-time, though he took no food, he conversed with men, teaching them the arts and sciences, particularly geometry, agriculture and whatever tended to their civilization and improvement. Nothing material has been added to his instructions. After Oannes, other monstrous animals appeared; as hippocentaurs, satyrs, etc., Over all these the woman Omoroca presided. She was the deep, the ocean, or, according to the true computation, Selene or the Moon. (Ibid. pp. 58-9.) There are two senses in which the FISH applies to Jesus Christ, or, the spring-Sun: first, as having been preserved by the Whale (the constellation Cetus) through the winter, like Jonah, being then simply Jesus; and second, as coming to the spring equinox after having passed Pisces. Indeed, the word in Greek for fish, Ichthus, is an abbreviation of his whole title: “Jesus Christ, the Son of God (Aries), Savior, and Cross.” The word cross was added by Eusebius.

    One of the greatest mistakes that David made was to marry other women after he married Abigail. If he had remained faithful to Abigail as his only wife, he would have been an even greater king of Israel. God's timing of bringing Abigail after the death of Prophet Samuel was perfect. David had a very wise counselor in Abigail. Indeed she was not a prophetess but God's plans for David's married life was beyond perfect!!!

    @@penguin8247 In the Pagan mythology, Dionysus or Bacchus was the son of Jupiter by Semele. The father of the Gods, at the request of Semele, having approached her with his thunder and lightning, set the palace on fire, when Semele perished in the flames. Being at her seventh month, Jupiter transferred the infant Bacchus into his thigh to be brought forth at the proper time. This story, which is related in almost every book on mythology, Thomas Franklin, D.D... The translator of Lucian, styles a "ridiculous fable." But crack the nut, and the rich meat will appear. Jupiter is the year, being represented by the Man in the frontispiece of every almanac. Semele is the summer of seven months, and denoted by the Man's body. Summer extended from the 25th of March, or Annunciation day, to the 25th of October, the last of the ancient summer months. Thence to the 25th of December would be two months. These added to the seven summer months would make nine months, the time required. The second birth would then take place at the winter solstice, denoted by the Man's knees, to which Capricorn points. (See old farmers almanac.)

Nabal's body just froze there on the table the next morning because it must have been God that "smote him". I've thought about this for quite a while and my comment still stands. To this very day we are still growing closer, not only with each other, but in and with our Lord. He brought us together to serve Him as one, and we intend to continue to do so for as long as He allows us to remain this way. So what was Abigail supposed to say about Nabal? If she'd spoken anything well of Nabal, she would've defeated her very purpose. Isn't it clear that Abigail was suffering under the marriage. She could not use vain words nor stifle her conscience. No doubt Nabal had bought from her father without her consent and her life was toral misery. If you're suffering in a marriage, don't pretend like all is well when you need help. Her husband had recklessly set her up to be killed with many other innocent people. There's nothing wrong with anything she said to David. Her servants were depending on her to save them all. Abigail acted with utmost wisdom and conscience.

    Abigail was clearly wise. Godly, too, no doubt. Thank you for doing a video on her; it was very informative. Here's the thing; she obviously knew that the immense gulf in between her social status as a woman and David's meant that she had to act as if she were nothing to groom his ego so he wouldn't kill her. She knew if she waited to inform Nabal - or worse, to ask his permission - all would be lost; so in saving his life and the lives of her household I can see that her actions were for the greater good. She was saving lives. David, however, was the man coming right at that moment to kill her - how could her subsequent marriage with David ever become an equal relationship? I don't buy that she flirted with David (if indeed that's what she was doing) because of any personal choice of her own. This man was about to murder her family; her children! She had no choice in the matter at all. Women did not get choices back then, and in many societies here and now they still do not. David had many wives in his lifetime, and not always one at a time either. This is a sin common to powerful men in the Bible; and it is a sin glossed over by nearly everyone involved in any sort of Bible study I've ever heard. Jesus seems to me to be the only man in the whole Bible who ever showed mercy to a woman, or showed the ability to see things from the perspective of one. It's Him who keeps me Christian in spite of people glossing over inequality issues. Please pray about whether (along with an awful lot of Christians) you're inadvertently pushing people away from Jesus with these omissions. I invite replies.

    I don't think Abigail, or anyone else either, EVER got a choice about becoming David's wife. Or about what follows on their 'wedding' night. And not just King David, either. Nobody cared in those days about violence directed at a woman from a man, especially if man's law had decided they were married.

  • @ashes2ashley230

    @ashes2ashley230

    Жыл бұрын

    @@janinejohnstone468 I think it was her choice and a smart one at that. I stripped the story into events in chronological order and here's what we'll both find: (YOU'RE GONNA WANNA SEE THIS, IT IS VERY INTERESTING) Nabal dismisses David's servants and refuses to recognize his title. Abigail comes to reconcile and she apologizes for her husband because, as you must know, providing food and shelter to a weary traveler was a BIG thing back then, and denying it to a small army was basically a war declaration. So Abigail prepared a feast for David, inviting her husband (soon to be late) as well Now get this, The next day Nabal is dead, "poisoned" being the exact words. No accusations were made, he lies still, poisoned at a party Abigail threw, eating food she prepared. I wouldn't blame her if it was her doing. The bible didn't say God struck him. David said that. Perfect to throw off suspicion. They party for a few more days celebrating his demise. Here is the wild part. With Nabal gone you can see the benefits of their hasty marriage, David's army can protect Abigail from any of Nabal's friends who may seek revenge, AND IN EXCHANGE Abigail and her new inheritance from her recently deceased husband can feed and shelter David's small army until the whole debacle with King Saul dies down. So you see the marriage was just a big transaction! if they did it for love, David wouldn't marry about six other women, only to cheat on them all with another married woman. Sorry if this is too much for you I just wanted to share my findings with someone. As a professional Entomologist, I should tell you The Bible had gone through many translations with languages that didn't even have words to describe certain feelings and ideas, and of course, it went through many an era. the narrative has changed many times but the events, the events don't change. think of this as a refurbishing of literature. Think of the other stories, hidden in the Bible, just waiting to be told. I'm excited, are you?

    @@Awar3inwar Does the Bible say to follow Jesus or follow Jacob? Jesus had no wives, sinless perfect man of God whom millions of women wait and hope in, a faithful husband and God. The 144,000 also are not defiled by woman. You need to read the Bible with the Holy Spirit instead of your flesh. Reread the Bible, start with Hosea. May God bless you.

    Abigail is absolutely brilliant. And perfect also because she also learned to love her enemies. That's how she could be married to Nabal whom everybody would shun given his ways. She was God's instrument of grace for Nabal. I can find nothing wrong with her.

    Abigail is also the mother of our savior, Jesus. He will be born again on December 25, 2022. The Egyptian Neith (Virgo of the Zodiac) reigned inseparably with Aman (Aries) in the summer hemisphere. She was the mother of the Gods," mother of the Sun, etc. Being the feminine principle as Aman was the male principle, her temples bore this inscription: "I am all that has been, all that is, and all that will be. My offspring is the Sun." She, like the Virgin Mary, conceived on the 25th of March, and gave birth to the Sun on the 25th December following. As God, or Aries, apparently makes the entire circuit of the heavens during the year, he was, of course, ever present, with Abraham (the Sun) in all that he did, whether good or evil. "I form the light and create darkness; I make peace and create evil " Isa. 45.7). Shall there be evil in a city and the Lord hath not done it? (Amos 3.6.)

    I'm pretty sure Abigail poisoned her own husband.

    @@ashes2ashley230 I don't believe that, when just the day before, she had prevented with much speed his being killed by King David. Her soul is very knowledgeable of the things of God to go down that way.

    @@sublime1061I love critique. I have nothing against her actions tho, he was a jerk. She apologises to david for her deadbeat hubby. She prepares all the food. She throws this big party. She invites her own abusive husband. He is dead the next morning, aparrantly poisoned. Everyone obviously knew she killed him but he was an asshat so no one misses him. David says God must have struck him and they continue to party. David marries her for good measure so that Nabal's friends don't come after her. It all falls into place when u think of the events as data, and read the data in perfect chronological order. it makes so much more sense. I've done this to half the bible now and never looked at the stories the same way.

    @@ashes2ashley230She didn't need to. As the Bible says, "When Abigail arrived home, she found that Nabal was throwing a big party and was celebrating like a king. He was very drunk, so she didn’t tell him anything about her meeting with David until dawn the next day. 37 In the morning when Nabal was sober, his wife told him what had happened. As a result he had a stroke,* and he lay paralyzed on his bed like a stone. 38 About ten days later, the Lord struck him, and he died." (2 Samuel 25).
