Of ALL the resources now available to members [and everyone really] yours is the most easily understood. It’s something in the way you talk to us and present your material. I have absolutely loved these 26 firesides with you and I just hope with all my heart that you will continue through the old testament with a similar format!

Thank you 🙏 for your lecture and reminder. It’s so good as always. Humility is not an easy trade to acquire in this life for me. I am grateful for trial and tribulation to humble me. God is good, mercy, love and patient. Thank Heaven for this. Merry Christmas to you and your beautiful family! So blessed 😇

"The Church moves by revelation based on the context and needs of God's children." Just as this is true in the Church, it can also be true in our personal lives: Our lives can move by revelation based on our situation and needs, when we are ready to receive God's guidance and ask for it.

There's a great book by an LDS author, that shows that there's perfect harmony between the prophetic statements concerning the garden of Eden being in Missouri and the Old Testament account concerning the garden of Eden. It's called Canaan, Babylon, and Egypt A Comparative Theological Analysis on Creation sold by Eborn Books.

You mentioned Johnston’s Army. General Albert Sydney Johnston had said he would trade his plantation in Texas for an order permitting him to shell Salt Lake City for just 15 minutes, but he did forbear and the federal army did eventually withdraw, mostly without incident. He would eventually retire and later would be commissioned as a general for the confederacy, where his dubious claim to fame would be as the highest ranking general on either side to be killed in combat, which happened on April 6, 1862 at the battle of Shiloh. So, in other words, the enemy of the Church of Shiloh (Jesus Christ), would be killed at the battle of Shiloh, on Shiloh’s birthday!

The church leaders hold Elias' keys and priesthood. From the beginning, his keys and priesthood were given to men on earth and divided up, one prophet receiving this set of keys, another receiving that set of keys. Sometimes various sets of sets have been gathered together, such as among the LDS leadership today. The church leadership have many of the sets of keys, but not all. The keys of translation are missing, etc. At some point Elias himself will show up and the keys which are held by the church leadership will be handed back to him. Also the other keys which are not currently in the church, which are still held by ancient prophets, will be delivered to him via angelic administration so that all priesthood and all keys, power, control and authority will be put into his hand, and then he will begin the "all things" mission to restore and prepare everything for the Second Coming. As the church leadership hold Elias' keys and priesthood, what they do by those keys becomes a law in heaven. They literally can make up stuff and it becomes reality in heaven, because _that's_ the power of Elias and his keys. However, they are not supposed to make anything up. They are only supposed to keep the ark of God moving in the proper direction upon the oxen and be _key-holders_ until Elias shows up. Only Elias can steady the ark and make all things right without perishing. Once Elias appears, he'll use the priesthood keys to establish Zion, correct all errors, reveal all things, gather all things, etc., acting in his capacity as the steward of all things to decide all matters. In the meantime, though, the church leadership, possessing his keys, act in his authority and decide all (church) matters.

That is a really really good question . Years ago I heard some say we were in the seventh seal . Then some said no end of 6 th seal. There are some people who think we are only in the fifth seal be apse they are very mixed. Up on what is going to happen or has already happened . We ate definitely not in the fifth seal for sure . I’m pretty sure we are in the very beginning of the seventh seal . That is a good question . We need someone to research what prophets say . I would say we are in the seventh seal by what president Nelson says . He says time is running . And he also says sending out so many missionaries and younger ages the Lord is quickening his time . Sounds like the seventh seal .

Per BOM or Bible, Even to look on a woman with lust is a sin. Now we differentiate with thought for gay? Kinda like no matter what you do your forgiven with grace. Things have changed.

In my understanding, anyone who purposely entertains sexual thoughts about someone they aren't married to is committing some kind of sin. Being wired to find a certain set of the human population attractive and have thoughts about that pop up from time to time isn't even a choice and therefore can't be a sin. I've understood the position on same-sex attraction to be in reference to this last one, while scripture refers to the first.

That’s confusing for sure . They say as long as you do not act on it it is not a sin . I’m not really sure the standing on it anymore . In a conference awhile back I’m pretty sure it was Dallin H Oaks he said they were not made that way . That it would not be fair for God to do that . Anyone remember that ? He always talks on the family a proclamation. To the world . For this he got death threats and the ensign magazine changed some of his words . Now that is kind of changed a bit I think . Seems they are not sure why some are attracted to Same sex but if you do not act on it then it is not a sin . Just like you don’t act on your lusts ?? It then you are suppose to keep your mind clean and wholesome too. And the only time the church got involved was to vote no on gay marriage . Because marriage is suppose to be between a man and a woman . But we respect the law of the land but still do not recognize gay marriage in church . As far as attraction is just the way they always were is something I won’t touch . Maybe more needs to be revealed . All we have is you can’t act on it . But I can see how it would ruin the plan of salvation to bring down spirits . It goes against all that is taught and is Gods plan . That was not meant to be the plan so it is said to be unnatural . Then how many people in this world really honor marriage ? Not very many ?? When Adultery is considered next to murder . So worst then being gay. Seems to me so many just can’t live the law of chastity either way and if is a law and it should be easy to live it not hard . Just being a normal moral person should not be hard . Anyway just my two cents . Why is that so hard ? Either way ?
