Not long after watching this presentation, I opened the book Magnifying Priesthood Power by Robert L Millet. ... If only I could attach a screenshot of page 141 😀 The role of the Holy Ghost to endow us ...the Higher Priesthood holds the power of beholding the face of The Father....Another Comforter - a quote from History of the Church. I need to read/hear things more thsn once to be able to remember them. 😀 Thank you!

This has deep personal meaning to me right now. And as I study the Old Testament as never before I am enwrapped in joy and wonder at what Moses and Jesus were really offering us (look at Exodus as the Jehovah invites them to sanctify, cleanse and prepare themselves to be in His presence and 70+did partake of that an UNBELIEVABLE “Endowment”. This is so sweeping to see Jehovah, Jesus, still has the same objective for us. So gripping and amazing. Thank you for sharing the bigger picture and vision 🥰. I have been taught by the Spirit as you’ve shared.

Thank you so very much for this and all your episodes and efforts. It is helpful understanding the presentation vs endowment itself .

I always look forward to each new video as I learn so much (despite having been a member for over 45 years!). Your explanation of the endowment versus the presentation of the endowment was enlightening and, as usual, opened my mind to new understandings. Your BYU students are so lucky to have you as their prof (I know my daughter was one of those lucky students!!) and I feel blessed that you are willing to sacrifice your time to share your knowledge and understanding with the rest of us.

You have such a gift to help us understand the way God teaches us line upon line. I love seeing how He was preparing Joseph in this way. As things continue to change in the Church and in the temple, it is easy to see the Lord’s hand leading us along little by little as we are also being prepared God is good. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with all of us❤️

Wow Simply Wow. I always knew there was more but didn't know how to explain it. I would say something like, " yes, but that is not the real endowment". People would look at me as if I grew 2 heads. I should have been using the phrase 'there is a difference between the presentation of the endowment and the bestowal of the endowment'. I have often thought of the events of the Kirkland temple and would ask, 'why them and not us?'... You have done a great service to me helping me put all the pieces together. Thank you, and Thank you.

Now there's some good teaching! Perhaps you note elsewhere: that the current ritual, symbolic theatrics & their attendant ordinations & sealings ... All is a mere foreshadowing, a type, an ideological introduction, to the "reality" of heavenly endowments & powers & sealings that can ONLY be realized upon principles & persevered experience of walking in love with the Spirit of Light & Truth, the Spirit of God, as represented by the covering of the white garments. There is no magic in the cloth, or in the outward ceremonies! One could wear the outward garments, even the original full-length collared & ties full outfit, but Not be wearing the true non-cloth garments ... because there is no light for a covering on their minds, hearts & lives. We are little better today than the ancient Israelites, so convinced their ritual performances were "all that", when we know nothing of true endowment / over the butchered down to fragments of mere outward ritual in temples made with hands. Nuff said, the wise will perceive.

Loved this explanation! Thank you! (As a side-note, please study the use of ‘me’ and ‘I’..” the blessings are for you and I”, should be ‘the blessings for you and me “. To know the difference, it isn’t “the blessings for I”, but rather ‘the blessings for me “…simply say the sentence, avoiding the plural and replacing a single ‘ you’. (Must be a pet-peave of mine, but I hear too many intelligent and wise people doing the same - I just want to help 🤗)

I noticed the same problem, especially at the end of this video ("for you and for I"). I'm hearing this mistake so often, I'm afraid it may be a lost cause--but it is painful to hear. Luckily, I have yet to hear this happen in General Conference talks. I think someone must do a grammar check. I should add that I love Brother Sweat's presentations. They are illuminating and beautifully done. This erroneously overcorrected use of "I" is just an unfortunate blemish that may be an obstacle to some listeners.

I wish there could be a movement within Mormonism to restore the endowment rites to their former glory with live acting and fully done. The Catholic Church has recently allowed the celebration of the Tridentine mass and this has really made the church far more accommodating to people of a more serious bent.

Are these painting some of the ones you painted yourself? They are wonderful. I am glad you pointed out the details in the paintings. Not only do you have a giant testimony and knowledge of the gospel, but you are also so talented with your artwork.

What’s the difference between the ordinance of what they did at the upper room of the storehouse and the ordinance here at Kirtland? Are they two separate things?
