I mean this is pretty much what happens in 40K for Space Marines, the fallen while still being able to be saved but unable to hold a weapon are entombed into Dreadnoughts effectively making them walking coffins to serve as a second body.

Krell went out like a bitch though. Getting his face pummelled to dust by a pissed-off Sigvald who you absolutely know was rocking a throbber over it. So distracted with the violence he didn't notice a gigantic troll standing behind him with an even more gigantic club.

End times aren't canon to me :p 90% of the cast died a loser's death out of plot necessity. Also Sigvald is awesome lol. Only part I like is Malekith being phoenix king cuz that's very funny

The End times had some of the silliest retcons and all around stupid stuff happened every page. I even like the skaven but i'm not over what they did to Thorgrim. "forgot to close the door behind him...". Literally offensive way to kill a character.

@@Eisenwulf666 My biggest gripe with Endtimes is that the writers completely forgot Skarsnik existed. Although, it does kinda work if you think that he just wallowed away in unrelenting remorse after Gobbla got killed. Everyone needs a best friend, even the most sneaky, mushroom-pumped night goblin.

Fun detail, Krell turned his back on Khorne in favor of Nagash as he wanted to fight without end. Also, Krell wasn't slain by Sigmar or any of his companions as no one could kill Krell, even Sigmar wielding Ghal maraz, so they instead bound him inside a traditional carrion mound, and their he stayed caged until Heinrich broke him out. The necromancer believes Krell to be his loyal minion and servant. However, Krell only serves Nagash and could kill Heinrich at any time, but experience has taught him that he needs capable necromancers to maintain his army and to repair his own body if the need ever arrives

Him and kimmlar were my most favorite dynamic duo, just after nagash and Arkan the black. Fielded them in old world and loved it. Kimmlar stood back summoning and disspelling. Krell would behead the enemy commanders. Such a fun time

I love that his entire philosophy is summarized in two words

Man Khorne must have been confused when Krells skull counters lit back up randomly every thousand years or so.

Krell didn't read the little markings inside the "resists all magic" armour, when he buyed it from the rulebook with his available points. There one could read: *Except necromancy ;3

They do but only if they don’t find it fair how they died, one time a wizard wiped out an army of khorne berserkers and then khorne stuck his arm into the real world killed the wizard and ressureted his boys. Nurgle also has a buddy he resurrects every couple years to go mess around

one important thing: it is impossible for necromancers to simply raise chaos warriors, as their souls are bound to the chaos realms. Nagash cheated while Heinrich had to make a pact with the ruinous powers to get Krell working

Goes to show how good a necromancer Nagash is that his creations can "outunlive" him. Also, if you want a frame of reference for how badass this guy is, He almost killed Gotrek, but Gotrek couldn't destroy him.

Well to be fair, it required all of skavendom to unite after the Horn rat told them to get their shit together to stop him. It also didn't completely stop him either. He fought Sigmar after the skaven incident. Nagash's motto is literally "I will endure" till his enemies decay to dust.

I wouldn't say wrecked, he mortally wounded sigvald in that fight alll the while laughing and mocking him knowing he can't actually die with Nagash around. How he mortally wounded him was he Sigvald where it mattered, his pride and ego which is why Throgg dunked on him.

Nagash pulled some cheat codes out while Khorne was weakened and due to Krell wanting to leave Khorne behind Nagash was able to resurrect him. Otherwise, yeah, you wouldn't be able too.

Necromancy does not exactly involve willing servants. But in Krell's case: Khorne does not care how blood flows, as long as it's spilled it's like a win/win for Krell

Would Khorne hate Krell? Like he spills blood and Khorne loves that.... but he's only "alive" because of sorcery and Khorne hates magic.

Doesn't stop the super melee focused Blood Knight vampires from having a decent number of them join Khorne either. Cheating in combat with dirty magic powers is one thing but bringing the dead back to life to fight again is another. Just look at Kharn, Tuska Daemon Killa and co after they died only to get respawned for another go.

Daemons are only alive because of magic and Khorne still has plenty of them. That said, I'm pretty sure he would despise Krell, just not for the reason you gave. Firstly, skeletons can't bleed, so the *blood* god obviously ain't gonna be keen on them. But more importantly, he became a minion of Nagash after being brought back to life, so all loyalty to Khorne was out the window.

Walach Harkon's detachment of Blood Knight Vampires fell to the Blood God, Count Drachenfels joined Nurgle as a spirit possessing an Imperial and Isabella von Carstein got revived then used by the Grandfather as a leader of his hordes as a Daemonhost.

Then in AOS the lore goes back to the same of Undead being almost completely immune to chaos. However if I had to hazard a guess, it was due to how much chaos was flowing across the planet that the undead could finally be affected.
